There was something truly captivating in the way all of the characters in this series came together.

It had a certain charm that I simply couldn't resist. As I was reading it, it constantly reminded me of Ouran, and perhaps that's precisely why I liked it so much.

Tsukushi, the protagonist, is an interesting character. I adored the moments when she began to take action and stand up for herself.

Although I wasn't overly fond of the artwork style initially, my love for the storyline allowed me to look beyond it.

This is an honest story that is filled with twists and turns, ups and downs, much like real life.

It's a story that engages the reader and keeps them hooked from start to finish.

Moreover, I would highly recommend watching the anime version as well.

The anime brings the story to life in a whole new way, with vibrant visuals and excellent voice acting.

It adds another dimension to the already精彩的 story and is definitely worth checking out.

Whether you're a fan of the manga or not, the anime is sure to provide an enjoyable viewing experience.

So, give it a try and see for yourself!

Je ne comprends pas...

Really, there are so many things that are wrong that I don't know where to start. I thought that with the second volume, we had gained a bit in quality, but here, it was a cold shower... This rereading is not as pleasant as I thought...

Let's start. The vocabulary already. The sluts, whores, sausages (that one thrown by an adult no less), not to mention the insults and verbal degradations everywhere... I can't take it anymore. It's not funny, it's contemptuous and insulting, and no, don't try to make me swallow that it's a satire of rich kids. I'm not even talking about Domyoji's delusions of making movies of a really high caliber. The worst is that he thinks he's in his right, which makes him even more unpleasant, stupid and antipathetic... No, I can't understand the point of all this.

Tsukushi's parents. Our heroine is assaulted twice, but all they care about is that potentially their daughter has flipped the heart of a rich guy. Again, it's not funny, it's uncomfortable. In most shojos, the heroine has some sort of sanctuary where she can find a semblance of normality, friends or a loving family. Here, nothing. She feels alone, against everyone, and it's demoralizing. It borders on abuse.

Shizuka. How I hate this character! Mrs. with her haughty airs, her ready-made phrases, her hypocritical kindness, and her condescension... The end of the volume made me die of laughter. In the drama queen genre, I don't think you can do better. And I see nothing positive in it, whereas the mangaka could have made this event a moment of realization, a little upheaval, for me, it's just a "look at me" pure and simple. We pass over the moment when she is also "gently" raped and where again the situation does not convey the right message at all.

Domyoji. As much as his simple side can be a bit funny, as much as the Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde: No! Just no! Again, we pass off an absolutely abject behavior as something banal. The worst is that there is no valid reason for his violence, that it is hardly stopped and that he still doesn't understand that what he does is wrong... He is a hero in the manga, and if he really existed, a tenth of what he does would have led him to reform school, or worse... But again the mangaka is selling us something very negative.

The snobs. They make me pity them. Their meanness is just ridiculous, and no one realizes that they lie as they breathe. I think that's the worst, because it makes everyone look like idiots. No really great atmosphere.

The assault to finish. Again, a line is crossed. And it's not "sweetness" and "excuses" that change anything. It's the behavior of a violent, narcissistic partner and it's not charming or cute at all, let alone romantic.

I'm a bit horrified... I didn't have a huge memory of the manga, but to this extent... I was younger, and I think a lot of things escaped me at that time. But now, I think that putting this manga in certain hands would be anything but good. Too many bad messages are conveyed hiding behind satire or humor (not even funny by the way).

Aishiteruze Baby's story had me completely hooked from just one volume. The characters in Ouran HS Host Club were also really interesting. However, when it comes to Boys Over Flowers (BOF), there is simply nothing that appeals to me.

I really don't like the character designs in BOF. They just don't seem to have any charm or appeal. Moreover, the storyline is so confusing that it's hard to follow. And now, in this particular volume, it's going in directions that I'm not at all willing to follow.

The way the characters and the author treat attempted rape is extremely concerning. It's not something that should be taken lightly. This is the second time in just three volumes that such a serious issue has been presented in a rather inappropriate way. It makes me question the overall tone and message of the series.

I'm really disappointed with BOF and I don't think I'll be continuing with this series any further.

Aahh omg! I truly adore this volume. It has managed to engage me to a much greater extent.

Although Doumyouji is such a child, I find myself completely in love with him.

It is indeed more explicit than the Korean drama, but that doesn't bother me at all. In fact, I'm loving it to bits.

The story has a certain charm that keeps pulling me in.

I can't wait to move on to the next volume and see what more adventures and developments await.

Each page turn brings new excitement and anticipation.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this journey through the world of this volume.

It's like a captivating dream that I don't want to wake up from.

I'm eager to discover what lies ahead for the characters and how their relationships will evolve.

Overall, this volume has been a wonderful read, and I'm looking forward to more.

He tries to rape her and then she thinks about him and gets a bit jealous! Pure and hard shit. The only redeeming thing about this volume is the final scene.

This story seems to be filled with such disturbing and complex emotions. The act of attempted rape is truly heinous and it's astonishing that she would then have thoughts of jealousy towards the perpetrator. It makes one wonder about the strange workings of her mind.

Perhaps there are underlying factors or a history between them that is not fully disclosed. The final scene, however, offers a glimmer of hope or something that stands out as being different from the rest of the volume. It could potentially be a turning point or a moment that changes the course of the story.

Overall, this description leaves the reader with a sense of unease and curiosity, eager to know more about what will happen next and how these characters will deal with the events that have unfolded.

This volume was slightly better.

To be honest, I really don't understand how the heroine could like Rui. He was only nice to her once, and then she claims to be 'in love' with him. It's quite baffling.

Boo!

Moreover, Tsukasa assaulted the heroine, and yet there are absolutely no consequences for his actions.

This is truly concerning as it involves the trigger of assault.

It makes one wonder about the moral and ethical implications within the story.

How can the heroine's feelings for Rui be so easily swayed by a single act of kindness?

And why is there no accountability for Tsukasa's assault?

These aspects really need to be addressed and explored further in the narrative to make it more believable and engaging.

Perhaps in future volumes, the author will provide more depth and clarity to these issues.

This was an extremely intense volume. Seriously, I just can't fathom what anyone could possibly see in Domyoji. He is hands down the worst male character I have ever come across in a shojo story.

This book really delved even deeper into the realm of sexual assault, and there is simply no redeeming quality to that. Even when judged by the standards of the 90s, this was truly awful. It's like, why on earth did Serena and Blair continue to hang out with Chuck Bass, knowing full well that he was a rapist? It's just mind-boggling.

We have this terrible trope of a guy harassing the people his love interest actually likes, all because he believes he deserves her despite the fact that he only abuses her. There's an instance where Makino is grateful to him for distracting her after being seemingly rejected by Rui, and that was just so confusing because it was after he hit her.

It isn't until he discovers that she spends time with Rui willingly that he finally realizes she rightfully hates him. And then his response is to nearly kill her friend, throw a chair out of a window, and attempt to sexually assault her. I have no idea where this story is headed at this point. Especially since Makino keeps expressing that she hates men who treat women in this manner. I understand that I'm not a straight woman, but I can't even begin to imagine how a romance between them could ever occur. So, I'm really hoping that I'm wrong in thinking that the author will try to redeem him in some way.

Another cute read, and another Tsukasa and Tsukuji love story :).

This series is truly captivating. With over 20 volumes, it has managed to hook me completely. I find myself unable to resist picking up the next few books.

I already have books 4 - 6 in my possession, eagerly waiting for the perfect moment to devour them.

The relationship between Tsukasa and Tsukuji is endearing and full of charm. Each volume seems to bring new adventures and developments that keep me on the edge of my seat.

I can't wait to see what lies ahead for these two characters and how their love story will unfold further.

It's safe to say that this series has become one of my favorites, and I'm looking forward to many more wonderful reads in the future.

I'm going to say it: yes, the last chapters were absolutely horrid. No, there is no excuse for their poor quality. The writing seemed rushed, the plot was convoluted and made little sense. It was a real disappointment after the earlier parts of the series that had shown so much promise.

Yes, I'm still continuing on. I know this series was written almost 20 years ago, and there are bound to be some problems. However, I'm still curious to see how it all ends. Maybe there will be a last-minute twist that will make it all worthwhile. Or perhaps I'm just being stubborn and don't want to give up on something I've invested so much time in.

Either way, I'll keep reading and see where this journey takes me. Who knows, maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised in the end.
