When I delved into volume 3, a sense of frustration truly overwhelmed me. Why on earth is Domyoji so clumsy?

It's extremely awkward whenever Tsukushi and Domyoji encounter each other. Undoubtedly, Domyoji has deep feelings for Tsukushi, yet she can't bring herself to be honest, and she remains frustrated with his selfish nature.

Nonetheless, I can empathize with her emotions because he is such a self-centered person. For Tsukushi, he is almost like an enemy. He constantly professes his feelings for Tsukushi.

So many girls claim that Rui is the coolest guy in the F4. But deep down, I truly hope that Tsukasa and Domyoji will eventually fall in love.

This story has its twists and turns, and I'm eager to see how their relationship will develop further.

Character design is truly outstanding! I have a great affection for F4.

I don't think the manga didn't age well. In fact, I firmly believe that the content was just as problematic in people's eyes during the 90s as it may seem now. The themes and storylines might have been controversial even back then.

Nevertheless, I'm continuing to read it. My main reason for doing so is that I want to experience the entire original work before seeing any adaptations. I feel that it's important to understand the source material in its entirety to fully appreciate any changes or interpretations made in the adaptations.

Moreover, there are some characters in the manga who are truly worth rooting for. Their personalities, development, and struggles make them engaging and likable. Despite the potential issues with the overall content, these characters give me a reason to keep going and see how their stories unfold.

Why did I love this so much in middle/high school???

In middle or high school, there were certain things that held an inexplicable charm for me. It could have been a particular subject that sparked my curiosity and made learning a joy. Maybe it was a hobby like playing a musical instrument or engaging in a sport that allowed me to express myself and build confidence. Or perhaps it was the friendships I formed during those years, the shared experiences and laughter that made every moment memorable.

I’ve seen a few adaptations of this story, and I have to say that the male lead is the most unlikable in the original.

They toned him down a bit for the Korean series, and then even more so in Meteor Garden.

So just a trigger warning: Domyouji/Goo JoonPyo/Daoming Si is definitely an abusive jerk in this manga.

He seems to think that he can get away with anything because of his wealth and status.

However, in the adaptations, they tried to give him a bit more depth and a redeeming side.

But in the original manga, he is truly a character that is hard to root for.

It makes you wonder why the female lead would even be interested in him in the first place.

Maybe it’s because of the allure of his wealth and power, or maybe it’s because of some other factor that is not fully explored in the story.

Either way, the unlikability of the male lead is a significant aspect of the original manga that sets it apart from the adaptations.
