To be completely honest, if I had come across this when I was just beginning my exploration of manga, it would have led me to believe that all manga promotes rape and sexism. That being the case, I truly found it to be extremely gross.

I did not enjoy it at all. I either experienced intense secondhand embarrassment or extreme annoyance towards the events and characters. In a strange way, it was interesting in the sense of "what's going to happen next?" However, it was presented in such a peculiar manner.

It's important to note that this is just one particular manga that left me with these negative impressions. I'm sure there are many other manga out there that are far more positive and engaging. But this one, unfortunately, failed to meet my expectations and left a rather sour taste in my mouth.

I felt really bad for one of the characters in the story.

She had an experience that no one should ever have to go through. She had sex with a boy that she really didn't like.

What made it even worse was that the boy didn't seem to care at all. He didn't even have the decency to say sorry.

In my eyes, that boy is no better than a rapist. If that had happened to me, God forbid, I would never be able to forgive him.

The poor girl must have felt really terrible, especially when she had to face him at a party that he invited her to.

I think this book has a valuable lesson to teach. The actions that happened in this book are unfortunately all too common in real life.

People need to realize that you can't always trust others. You have to be careful and protect yourself.

We should all learn from the mistakes and experiences of the characters in this book and be more aware of the people around us.

I admit it: this one I really loved.

I laughed out loud right in the middle of the library.

It was such a hilarious and enjoyable experience.

The story or whatever it was had me completely engaged from the start.

Every word seemed to jump off the page and bring a smile to my face.

I couldn't help but let out those bursts of laughter, even though I was in a public place like the library.

It was one of those moments when you just forget about everything else and get lost in the joy of the moment.

And I'm so glad I came across this wonderful thing that made me feel so happy and entertained.

It's memories like these that I'll cherish for a long time.

Apparently, the most faithful version is Meteor Garden. And I won't deny that I'm a little disappointed because I'm watching it and it's the adaptation that I like the least.

I feel that the Tsukasa in the series and Junpyo in Boys Over Flowers don't have the level of possessiveness that Si and the Tsukasa in the manga have. The disturbing scene (from now on I'll call it that way) had a great impact on me when I saw it in Meteor Garden, and it still impacts me here. With what right? It frustrates me a lot because, although that's not done to anyone, Tsukushi wasn't even his girlfriend. She didn't even like him, and yet he behaves so brutally?

I know it's a manga made in the 1990s, but I think that a scene of that kind shouldn't have been taken so lightly. At least for the moment I feel that way. Maybe I'm wrong and it will be addressed in the fourth book.

One star for the scene of the squids. That was very funny.

The story is getting really interesting. Another new character has emerged, and this is going to give us a lot to talk about. This new addition to the cast brings with it a whole new set of possibilities and dynamics. We can't wait to see how this character will interact with the others and what kind of impact they will have on the plot. Will they be a friend or a foe? Will they bring new challenges or help to solve existing ones? Only time will tell. But one thing is for sure, this new character has definitely added an exciting new dimension to the story.

Even though I still rushed through this volume, I can't give it more than one star.

The love interest in this story just keeps getting worse and worse. It's truly concerning. We're actually expected to root for him? That's completely absurd.

I just hope that no one who is impressionable reads this and then gets the wrong idea. I'm really worried that they might think it's okay to be in toxic and abusive relationships just because this book seems to present it in a certain way.

Authors have a responsibility to be careful with the messages they send, especially when it comes to such important topics. This book really fails in that regard. It's a disappointment and I would not recommend it to anyone.

Hopefully, future works will do a better job of handling these issues and presenting healthy relationship models.

This is ABSOLUTELY the book I would have written when I was 13 and it hits its target demographic on point.

As an adult, I have a different perspective. I find the sexual aggression (so far) in the series to be very problematic and not romantic at all.

To be honest, though, when I was young, I probably would have loved it.

Now, the question is, would I recommend it to a young reader? Well, it depends. If your young reader is open to chatting about their books with you, then yes.

It could actually be a great opportunity to dissect that outdated notion that boys are mean to the girls they like.

By having these conversations, we can help young readers understand that such behavior is not acceptable and that healthy relationships are based on respect and kindness.

It's important to guide them in developing a proper understanding of love and relationships from an early age.

I'm really, really starting to like this story!! It's been so engaging and full of surprises. I laughed out loud so many times while reading it. The scene where Doujyou attacked Makino but then gently kissed her was just amazing. It made my heart skip a beat. I was completely hooked and couldn't make myself turn the page. I just wanted to stay in that moment and soak it all in. And then there's Shizuka. OMG!! She's such an interesting character. Her presence adds another layer of complexity to the story. I can't wait to see what happens next with her and how her relationship with the other characters develops. This story has me completely captivated and I'm looking forward to reading more.

Wow, Domyoji truly has some significant issues. He struggles a great deal when it comes to expressing his feelings. However, at times, he takes things way too far. What I really love is the intense feelings and emotions that one can clearly read in his eyes and on his face whenever he snaps. Despite all this, I still have a great love for this series. But I must admit that I had definitely forgotten precisely how unlikable he could be.

On the other hand, Tsukushi is facing a lot of challenges. She is continuously dealing with bullying from her classmates, which must be extremely tough for her. Additionally, she has a crush on Rui, which adds another layer of complexity to her emotional state. And then there's the whole issue of her feelings of inadequacy, jealousy, and sadness when it comes to Shizuka. It seems like Tsukushi has a lot on her plate and is constantly having to navigate through these difficult emotions and situations.

Well, she sure knows how to go out with a bang, doesn't she?

I find myself gradually warming up to the curl boy. He may seem extremely violent at first glance, but as I observe him more closely, I can see a soft side within him that I've never witnessed before.

It's quite fascinating how appearances can be so deceiving. This curl boy, with his tough exterior, has this hidden tenderness that makes me want to know him better.

Maybe there's more to him than meets the eye. I'm curious to explore this newfound aspect of his personality and see where it leads.

It's like uncovering a hidden treasure within him, and I can't wait to discover what else lies beneath the surface.

I truly have a deep affection for this series. Once I started reading it, I simply couldn't put it down.
