I found this volume to be fairly average.

I have rather mixed feelings about the artwork. At times, I feel that the characters look inconsistent, which can be a bit distracting.

However, I did appreciate the fact that there was a summary at the beginning of the volume. Since it has been quite a while since I read volume 2, this summary helped to refresh my memory.

In comparison to the kdrama, this volume seems to be veering off a bit. Or perhaps it's just that I'm losing my memory of the kdrama. Nevertheless, it's okay if they are diverging. After all, each medium has its own way of telling a story.

I must admit that I'm not entirely pleased with some of the actions of Tsukasa Domyoji in this volume. His behavior at times left me a bit frustrated.

I was really torn between giving this volume 2 stars or 3 stars. In the end, I decided to give it 3 stars because overall, I still like the series so far. There are certain aspects that I enjoy, and I'm curious to see how the story will unfold in the next volumes.

This one was better than the other two.

However, Tsukasa is still a horrible person.

He is super toxic and abusive.

His actions and words have a negative impact on those around him.

This guy is truly a terrifying character. He hit a girl hard on her face just because she was annoying. Such violent behavior is completely unacceptable. Then, he even attempted to rape his love interest. Although he regretted it almost instantly, that doesn't change the fact that he had such a heinous thought. I was more scared of him than Makino was in that scene. Moreover, this guy has a history of getting into a fight so intense that the other guy almost died from internal injuries. He also started a fight with another student in school, and when his friends asked him to stop, he callously said, "What difference will it make in the world if this one guy dies?" Seriously, this Doumjouji should be either behind bars in jail or confined to a mental institution. He is clearly a criminal and a bully. Enough said.

DNFing this series.

The main male "protagonist" has truly crossed an excessive number of lines. It has reached a point where it is extremely difficult to believe this could be a believable romance, let alone an enjoyable one.

I am deeply disappointed because I actually took great pleasure in two of the live action adaptations. However, it is evident that they made some fundamental changes that I am truly thankful for.

If the situation were reversed and I had read the manga first, it is highly likely that I would not have even bothered to give those adaptations a chance.

It seems that the source material has some major flaws that prevent it from being a satisfying romance, and it is only through the alterations in the adaptations that a glimmer of enjoyment could be salvaged.

Perhaps it is time to look for other series that can offer a more genuine and engaging romantic experience.

Ho boy... The manga-ka made a mention in one of her side panels that Tsukasa has more fans than Rui. This just goes to show that the violent, bad boy types are the most sought after all over the world. And yet, I still don't understand this.

Now, I've seen numerous reviews where people have commented about the near sexual assault, stating that it made them feel uncomfortable or that it was something they didn't like. Personally, the scene did not bother me. Such things are happening all the time, all over the world. Of course, I'm not condoning this behavior or saying it's okay. It simply didn't have that effect on me. Tsukasa is a jackass and obviously has anger issues and doesn't know how to work them out. His reaction, to me, seemed pretty normal for crazy jerks like him. And I think, as readers, the intention was for us to go "See, even though he's an ass, look at how sweet he is." Of course, most women don't respond that way, and it reflects in their reviews. To me, however, it just made the story more real and dramatic. I appreciate and like that this manga is not all sunflowers and rainbows in its romantic senses. Because normally these sort of intense, scary situations never happen in a manga, but they do in real life. I can dig it!

I'm really liking this series. Every time I finish a volume, all I want to do is keep reading more and more. In fact, I'll be starting my third volume today as I begin to read volume 4 right now!
