About the author

Tsugumi Ōba (Profile in Japanese: 大場 つぐみ), born in Tokyo, Japan, is a writer best known for the manga Death Note. His/her real identity is a closely guarded secret. As stated by the profile placed at the beginning of each Death Note manga, Ōba collects teacups and develops manga plots while holding his knees on a chair, similar to a habit of L, one of the main characters of the series.

There is speculation that Tsugumi Ōba is a pen name and that he is really Hiroshi Gamō. Pointing out that in Bakuman the main character's uncle was a one-hit wonder manga artist who worked on a gag super hero manga, very similar to Gamō and Tottemo! Luckyman in all aspects. Also that the storyboards drawn by Ōba greatly resemble Tottemo! Luckyman in style.

Mello to Matt! What a luxurious pair! And I would really like there to be more... much more! Maybe all the time? Or they could have their own series? :)

One star down because L and N are always just guessing about something and then N is always presenting those hypotheses of his...

And when it comes to hypotheses, I have the feeling that there are a few luxuriously over-the-top parties, and now it's just a matter of who planned it the best...

This situation is quite interesting. The dynamic between L and N keeps changing as they engage in their guessing games and hypothesis presentations. It makes me wonder what will happen next. Will L come up with a better idea than N? Or will N's hypotheses prove to be correct?

Also, the mention of the luxuriously over-the-top parties adds an element of excitement. It makes me curious about the details of these parties and who might be attending. Maybe there will be some unexpected twists and turns at these events that will change the course of the story.

Overall, I'm really enjoying this story and can't wait to see what happens next.

Mikami: "Ausgelöscht. Ausgelöscht. Ausgelöscht. Ausgelöscht. AUSGELÖSCHT!"

Mikami repeated the word "Ausgelöscht" over and over again, his voice rising with each utterance. It was as if he was trying to drive the point home, to make sure that everyone around him understood the significance of what he was saying.

The word "Ausgelöscht" means "erased" or "deleted" in German, and it was clear that Mikami was referring to something or someone that he wanted to be completely wiped from existence.

As he continued to shout, his eyes bulged and his face turned red with anger. It was a powerful and intense moment, and it was impossible not to be affected by the passion and determination that Mikami was displaying.

Whether or not Mikami would actually be able to achieve his goal of having something or someone "Ausgelöscht" remained to be seen, but there was no doubt that he was serious about it.

I am truly loving this new character!

There is something so captivating about him/her.

Maybe it's the unique personality traits that have been carefully crafted.

Or perhaps it's the way he/she interacts with the other characters in the story.

Every time I read about this new character, I find myself more and more intrigued.

The author has done an excellent job of bringing this character to life.

I can vividly picture his/her appearance and the expressions on his/her face.

It's as if this character has stepped right out of the page and into my imagination.

I can't wait to see what adventures and challenges this new character will face in the future.

I have a feeling that he/she is going to play a significant role in the story and I'm looking forward to following his/her journey.

Overall, I'm thoroughly enjoying this new addition to the cast of characters and I'm excited to see where the story takes him/her.

As I am getting closer to finishing the series, I am very much aware of this: The reason I keep going is because I know I won't be able to rest until I learn the end of Light.

Light, who uses all his intelligence to get out of every situation but always徘徊 on the edge of a single abyss. Will he fall or will he overcome all the obstacles in front of him and be canonized as a real God? Will he defeat N as he defeated L? That's why I have to keep reading to find the answers to all these questions.

In my eyes, the series ended with L, but these questions... Each volume is full of action and excitement, but the absence of L is a big void for me. I miss his sharp intelligence, his strange sitting postures on the chair, and his constant open state. -missed-

I have so many issues with this volume.

To begin with, Light's actions in the first half of the volume were extremely reckless. Near and Mello are incredibly annoying; they don't even come close to being as good as L. The interaction between L and Light was truly outstanding, but now Light is facing two kids with huge egos.

Secondly, everyone is fixated on Light being Kira without any solid evidence. His companions are easily influenced by both Near and Light. It's really frustrating to see the same things happening again as in the beginning of the story.

Finally, the misogyny in this story is quite evident. The portrayal of women in this manga is inaccurate. Any woman that Light has met is either extremely naive and easily charmed and manipulated by him (they already worship him and follow his every step, like Misa and Takanda) or is a strong character but is killed by him in the next moment.

I would have really liked it if L's successor was a woman who could get revenge by making Light fall in love with her and revealing his secrets to her. He is quite easy to persuade in this regard, so it wouldn't have been a difficult task.

This installment is truly better than the previous one.

It has brought more excitement and anticipation. The improvements are evident in various aspects, whether it's the story development, character portrayal, or the overall production quality.

The details are more refined, and the pacing is just right, keeping the audience engaged from start to finish.

After experiencing this installment, I find myself eagerly looking forward to the next one.

I can't wait to see what new surprises and adventures it will bring.

The anticipation is building up, and I'm sure the next installment will not disappoint.

It will surely continue to raise the bar and provide an even more unforgettable experience.

I'm already counting down the days until its release.

If I managed to struggle through the last two volumes, I raced through this one at a remarkable pace.

The intensity was cranked up in the most extreme manner, and I relished every single page of it.

I really liked how this volume placed a much greater emphasis on Light as Kira once more, and also how his colleagues began to second-guess and doubt him as L.

It made everything far more complex and intertwined.

Moreover, the ending, where Light once again utilized a female character (I'm truly sick of this recurring pattern!!!) and appointed her as his partner/goddess, was fantastically crazy.

Also, Mikami is one seriously messed-up character.

I'm so excited to dive into the next one (but there are only two more left, aah!), but my library doesn't have it, and so I will have to wait.

Noooo!
