Name : 冰川京子 (ひかわきょうこ)

Blood type : A

Likes Jackie Chan movies and American movies like BIG. Also cats, but not enough to own one. One of her favorite activities is decorating and creating useful objects for her home. Hates mosquitoes and cockroaches. Has enormous trouble in bicycle parks.

Does mostly light-hearted comedy stories, but very entertaining. She does surprisingly great action scenes (haven't seen many shoujo artists try at a Western before!!).

Her stories ranges from cute to action, but all done unparalled attention - the drawings are refined and the storylines bring the readers into what the characters feel. Her page layouts and camera angles varies a lot, and thus keeps the interest of the reader.

Overall Series review 3 Stars.

I probably should have left it after book 7. There is a sort of ending there with Noriko and Izark leaving their (first set of) friends behind. However, I did want to see what the conclusion was.

The second half of From Far Away (books 8 - 14) is, in my opinion, weaker. But I do like Noriko as a character. She’s endearing. There are parts that I enjoyed.

Perhaps it's the development of her relationships or the unique situations she finds herself in. Despite the overall weakness of this part of the series, Noriko's charm manages to keep me engaged.

I think the author could have done more to strengthen the latter half. Maybe added more depth to the secondary characters or explored different plotlines.

Nevertheless, I'm glad I stuck it out to the end to see how Noriko's story concluded. It wasn't a perfect series, but it had its moments.

It was truly such a nice ending.

One could easily imagine how wonderful it would have been to see those lovely little kids running around joyfully, their laughter filling the air.

However, even without that vivid scene, it was still a very lovely way to wrap things up.

The conclusion had a certain charm and elegance to it, leaving a warm and pleasant feeling in one's heart.

It was as if everything had come together perfectly, creating a sense of satisfaction and contentment.

Although the absence of the running kids might have been a slight disappointment, it did not overshadow the overall beauty and loveliness of the ending.

It was a reminder that sometimes, even in the simplest of ways, things can end in a truly wonderful and memorable manner.

Kyoko Hikawa's fourteen-volume fantasy manga epic reaches a thrilling conclusion in this final episode of the series.

Izark continues his battle with Keimos, while the citizens of Ennamarna refuse to surrender Noriko and rise up to defend their city.

Noriko herself discovers the World of Light and is able to guide Izark there.

Joining him in spirit, she adds her power to his, strengthening him in his final conflict with Rachef and the malignant spirit that has been the source of his rise to power.

Wow! I'm both happy and sad to have finished this series, which was my first foray into the world of manga.

Many thanks to my Goodreads friend Jeannette for being my tour guide in this new artistic and literary territory.

Life is a bit stressful right now, and this romantic fantasy saga was just what I needed.

I adored the characters, the story, and the artwork.

This volume was a great conclusion. I especially liked that the door was left open for the villain to redeem himself.

I also enjoyed the conclusion where Noriko finds a way to communicate with her family back home.

It was a satisfying end to a wonderful series.

"People have a deep-seated desire to make a contribution to the world they inhabit. They long to assist other living beings on this planet. There is an inherent need within people to do something useful in one form or another."

I am making a great effort not to let my tears flow as I pen this review. I am extremely disappointed that this series has come to an end, yet what a beautiful and wonderful adventure it has been!

Although the ending was not romantic in the way I initially hoped for, it exceeded anything I could have potentially desired (and was even better!). I felt that the mangaka invested such beauty and care into every single character, panel, and page. The healing and hope resonate so powerfully from the pages that even now, I have a feeling I might cry later simply because of how much this story has touched me.

It is difficult to convey all that I feel, but this was truly worth reading. The compassion shown to characters I didn't expect to receive it was something I didn't know I needed to see, but I am so grateful that I did.

From Far Away is a beautiful series! I highly recommend reading it if you have a love for shojo fantasy! This is a classic for a reason and rightfully deserves to be. <3

I LOVE THIS MANGA SO MUCH! It is truly a masterpiece. The story is captivating, the characters are vivid and well-developed, and the art is simply stunning.

Everything about it was perfect. I could not put it down once I started reading. I was completely immersed in the world of the manga, experiencing every emotion along with the characters.

I really enjoyed reading it. It brought me so much joy and excitement. I will definitely be reading it again and again.

I have read this series countless times.

Someone once said in a review that it is so good precisely because the main character is not just a weak female. Instead, she endeavors to do things within her ability. She learns the language and encourages others.

The love between her and Izark is such an innocent one. They literally only kiss once, yet it is the strongest love I have ever felt from reading books. They are the awakening for each other, inspiring them to become better people in the world.

If there is one manga that I would recommend to anyone without hesitation, it is this one. It is such a fantastic read that I return to it once a year and discover new things every time.

Moreover, it is a bonus that I am able to fall in love with the characters and shed tears at certain parts due to their deep connection with each other.

This manga is truly one of the best ever! It presents a thrilling battle between good and evil that keeps readers on the edge of their seats. The art in this manga is simply outstanding. Every panel is meticulously drawn, with vivid colors and detailed illustrations that bring the story to life. The characters are beautifully designed, and their expressions and actions are so realistic that you can't help but feel emotionally invested in them.

In addition to the exciting plot and great art, this manga also features a beautiful romance. The relationship between the two main characters develops gradually and naturally, and their love for each other is both touching and inspiring. The way the author portrays their emotions and interactions is truly masterful, making this manga not only a great adventure but also a heartwarming love story.

Overall, this manga is a must-read for any manga lover. It has everything you could ask for - a great story, amazing art, and a beautiful romance. I highly recommend it!
