Does mostly light-hearted comedy stories, but very entertaining. She does surprisingly great action scenes (haven't seen many shoujo artists try at a Western before!!).


Her stories ranges from cute to action, but all done unparalled attention - the drawings are refined and the storylines bring the readers into what the characters feel. Her page layouts and camera angles varies a lot, and thus keeps the interest of the reader.

I absolutely LOVE this series. I have no idea how I managed to miss it when I was younger. The characters in this series are so well-developed and engaging. Each one has their own unique personality and backstory that makes you really care about them. The artwork is also amazing. It's so detailed and colorful that it really brings the story to life. And don't even get me started on the storyline. It's full of twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. I devoured this one and the next in one sitting because I just couldn't put it down. I would highly recommend this series to anyone who loves a great read. It's definitely a 5-star series!

"Why do I long to see her?"


Izark has to face off against 17 men to safeguard the reputation of Lord Nada. However, being the suave and badass character he is, Izark effortlessly handles them like a true boss. But this wouldn't be nearly as amazing if our heroine didn't start to develop. And develop she does!


Not only is she beginning to fall for Izark without even vocalizing it (we notice her blushing several times), but she is also becoming increasingly proficient in his language. So much so that when they, along with a group of unlikely allies, enter the White Mist Forest and encounter a terrifying monster, she is able to alert the group and prevent them from harming each other. Thank goodness Izark was there, because poor Noriko would have been pounded into the ground by one of the group members who was losing his cool.


Noriko and Izark form a great team, become wonderful friends, and so far are starting to show feelings for each other. Izark is that quiet and handsome guy who turns adorable when he gets embarrassed because of Noriko. She makes mistakes with the language as expected, and mistakenly calls him "Honey" when trying to congratulate him in an earlier volume. Since then, everyone has been questioning their relationship. He thought leaving her with Gaya was the best option, but now that he is with her again, you can see that he secretly adores her - or perhaps he is really dense and doesn't understand his own feelings. Thankfully, the angst in this series isn't overly strong. It's just written that well.


Trust me, even if you're picky about the art style, give this manga a read. It has a very clean and pleasant style for an older shoujo, and it's easy on the eyes. Although I don't think you should dismiss something just because the art might not be to your liking until you've actually read it.
