Name : 冰川京子 (ひかわきょうこ)

Blood type : A

Likes Jackie Chan movies and American movies like BIG. Also cats, but not enough to own one. One of her favorite activities is decorating and creating useful objects for her home. Hates mosquitoes and cockroaches. Has enormous trouble in bicycle parks.

Does mostly light-hearted comedy stories, but very entertaining. She does surprisingly great action scenes (haven't seen many shoujo artists try at a Western before!!).

Her stories ranges from cute to action, but all done unparalled attention - the drawings are refined and the storylines bring the readers into what the characters feel. Her page layouts and camera angles varies a lot, and thus keeps the interest of the reader.

Oh my goodness! How I truly wish that the remainder of the series could be filled with a plethora of happy moments just like it was during the first quarter of this volume! It was simply amazing and felt like a resounding YES! Let our beloved couple finally catch their breath and enjoy some peaceful times together, please!

Sigh. Well, at least it was unexpected, and it was something that I wasn't entirely prepared for, even though now I find myself longing for more. LOL! The second half or so kicks off with all the intense action that we've witnessed before, but this time, Keimos is on the scene, and he is significantly stronger than he was last time. Not only that, but I'm taking back all the nice things I previously said about Rachef and my curiosity towards him because, nope, not anymore. Since we're now halfway through the series, I'm not even remotely certain where this story is going to lead. I have a hunch that Noriko will grow stronger, but I'm not sure if Izark will become any less protective (which, to be honest, is perfectly fine by me. LOL). They both still have a burning desire to break free from the fate that looms over them and truly hope to see themselves have a peaceful ending. Even so, I still have no idea how they are going to achieve that.

I've got this feeling deep down that this is just the very beginning because Rachef is no laughing matter and seems to have no regard for what needs to be done in order to make his personal plans unfold exactly the way he desires.

Also, Izark's laugh was absolutely everything. <3

\"I will not...let destiny rule me!\" This powerful statement sets the tone for the evolving love between Izark and Noriko. Their relationship blossoms, filled with both joys and challenges. Izark's anxiety and overprotectiveness, combined with Noriko's inability to part from him, are deeply rooted in their past experiences, making their connection completely believable.

After staying in a small village, the Seer warns that evil is on the move. Without hesitation, Izark and Noriko leave, only to be attacked by Keimos. Not only is Keimos stronger, but something terrible has consumed him.

Lord Rachef finally makes his move. Displaying animal cruelty, good looks, and a stylish side ponytail, he traps Izark in a battle with Keimos. Izark tries to protect Noriko, but she is taken away. When Izark catches up, new revelations come to light.

One of Lord Rachef's own seems to betray him after the inhumane slaughter of the Chimos, and Gorya replaces Tazasheena as Lord Rachef's personal Seer, much to her dismay.

The fight scenes are expertly crafted. So well done, in fact, that one might start to think this series is a shounen. The panels are fluid and sharp, with minimal monologues and just the right amount of everything to set the tone.

Noriko doesn't shy away from violence either. She is ready to pounce on Tazasheena to escape. However, it seems she has nowhere to go, as Izark is 16 miles away in Mt. Purple Spirit (lol, that name) fighting for his life - and for Noriko. Yet, perhaps Noriko will be the one to save him.

Izark and Noriko are the central point of this series, aren't they?

It appears that there is a change in the focus within this volume. It seems to lean more towards The Plot rather than the inexplicable yet charming chemistry between the lead characters.

Volume 7 essentially wrapped up the aspects of the story that I am concerned about (*cough* the romance *cough*) in a nice, big bow.

I find myself wondering if perhaps I should have just left it at that.

However, only time will tell.

Maybe there are still more surprises and developments in store for us in the future volumes.

It will be interesting to see how the story progresses and if the focus will shift back to the relationship between Izark and Noriko or continue to explore other elements of The Plot.

For now, I'll just have to wait and see what comes next.

Even if Noriko is usually the damsel in distress, I’m definitely enjoying this more than I did Red River.

Noriko's character, though often portrayed as in need of rescue, brings a certain charm and vulnerability to the story. It makes her journey all the more engaging as we watch her grow and face various challenges.

Comparing it to Red River, this experience has a unique allure. Maybe it's the way the plot unfolds, or the chemistry between the characters. Whatever it is, it has me hooked.

I find myself looking forward to each new development, eager to see how Noriko will overcome her difficulties and what awaits her in the end. It's a story that keeps me on the edge of my seat, and I can't wait to see where it takes me.

Overall, despite Noriko's typical damsel in distress role, this has become a favorite of mine, surpassing my enjoyment of Red River.

3.5/5 Stars

This rating of 3.5 out of 5 stars indicates a moderately positive assessment. It suggests that the subject being evaluated has several good qualities or aspects that are worthy of recognition. However, it also implies that there are some areas that could be improved or enhanced to reach a higher level of excellence. Perhaps there are minor flaws or不足之处 that prevent it from receiving a perfect 5-star rating. Nonetheless, a 3.5-star rating is still a respectable score, indicating that the item or service has some value and is likely to meet the expectations of many consumers. It serves as a useful guide for others who are considering engaging with or purchasing the same thing, allowing them to make an informed decision based on the experiences and opinions of those who have already tried it.

This volume is truly packed with non-stop action and nail-biting suspense, and I simply love it to bits.

Izark and Noriko find themselves in a situation where they can't even take a single breath for a minute. They are constantly plunged into danger, and this time, it's even worse than ever. Lord Racheff and Keimos have finally managed to get their hands on Izark and Noriko, and as a result, they have been separated.

I am literally on the edge of my seat throughout the entire story. My heart is pounding with anticipation as I just want them to be reunited again. The way the story unfolds keeps me completely engaged and makes me eager to turn the page to see what will happen next. It's a thrilling ride from start to finish.

I can't wait to see how the author will bring Izark and Noriko back together and what other challenges and adventures they will face along the way. This volume has definitely left me hungry for more.
