Overall Series review 3 Stars.

I probably should have left it after book 7. There is a sort of ending there with Noriko and Izark leaving their (first set of) friends behind. However, I did want to see what the conclusion was.

The second half of From Far Away (books 8 - 14) is, in my opinion, weaker. But I do like Noriko as a character. She’s endearing. There are parts that I enjoyed.

Perhaps it's the development of her relationships or the unique situations she finds herself in. Despite the overall weakness of this part of the series, Noriko's charm manages to keep me engaged.

I think the author could have done more to strengthen the latter half. Maybe added more depth to the secondary characters or explored different plotlines.

Nevertheless, I'm glad I stuck it out to the end to see how Noriko's story concluded. It wasn't a perfect series, but it had its moments.

It was truly such a nice ending.

One could easily imagine how wonderful it would have been to see those lovely little kids running around joyfully, their laughter filling the air.

However, even without that vivid scene, it was still a very lovely way to wrap things up.

The conclusion had a certain charm and elegance to it, leaving a warm and pleasant feeling in one's heart.

It was as if everything had come together perfectly, creating a sense of satisfaction and contentment.

Although the absence of the running kids might have been a slight disappointment, it did not overshadow the overall beauty and loveliness of the ending.

It was a reminder that sometimes, even in the simplest of ways, things can end in a truly wonderful and memorable manner.

Wow! I'm both happy and sad to have finished this series, which was my first foray into the world of manga.

Life is a bit stressful right now, and this romantic fantasy saga was just what I needed.

I adored the characters, the story, and the artwork.

This volume was a great conclusion. I especially liked that the door was left open for the villain to redeem himself.

I also enjoyed the conclusion where Noriko finds a way to communicate with her family back home.

It was a satisfying end to a wonderful series.

I am making a great effort not to let my tears flow as I pen this review. I am extremely disappointed that this series has come to an end, yet what a beautiful and wonderful adventure it has been!

Although the ending was not romantic in the way I initially hoped for, it exceeded anything I could have potentially desired (and was even better!). I felt that the mangaka invested such beauty and care into every single character, panel, and page. The healing and hope resonate so powerfully from the pages that even now, I have a feeling I might cry later simply because of how much this story has touched me.

It is difficult to convey all that I feel, but this was truly worth reading. The compassion shown to characters I didn't expect to receive it was something I didn't know I needed to see, but I am so grateful that I did.

From Far Away is a beautiful series! I highly recommend reading it if you have a love for shojo fantasy! This is a classic for a reason and rightfully deserves to be. <3

I have been looking for it everywhere. I searched high and low, in every corner of my room, through all my old bookshelves. And finally, after what felt like an eternity, I found it!

I LOVE THIS MANGA SO MUCH! It is truly a masterpiece. The story is captivating, the characters are vivid and well-developed, and the art is simply stunning.

Everything about it was perfect. I could not put it down once I started reading. I was completely immersed in the world of the manga, experiencing every emotion along with the characters.

I really enjoyed reading it. It brought me so much joy and excitement. I will definitely be reading it again and again.

This was a rare gem. It was a beautifully written historical romance.

The struggle of finding your purpose in this life is a central theme. What if you had every reason to fall into the darkness? Love is the only thing that can drag you out from that hell and bring you to the light.

This is a story about love, not just between the characters but about its place in the world. It showcases love's ability to heal and give strength. The world is corrupt by desire. The message in this story is clear. We must give love to each other, be loved, and fight corrupt ambitions and desires to rise not only as individuals but as nations and countries. Some will fail on their journey, while others will prevail and shine in the light.

As for the story, the writing matured as Noriko matured. From a clumsy, silly girl, she grew into a strong woman able to fight for what she believes in.

What I enjoyed most was that this wasn't one of those stories where the girl always needed to be saved by a handsome warrior. We got to see Izark and his insecurities, his worries, and his emotions being exposed. He needs her as much as she needs him. It felt like a true partnership, and they completed each other. If Izark is strong physically, his emotions always affected him, be it rage, anger, fear, or worry. Noriko is a weak girl, but from early on, she knew her feelings well all the way till the end.

I have loved this story. It will be one of those stories that lives with me forever.

# Program BUBU

Program BUBU is a remarkable one. It was first purchased and read on 12 November 2003. The last volume of this Elex translation was published more than 10 years ago. However, I still have a great affection for this manga. In fact, I love it. Fortunately, I was able to find a replacement set for the one that was lost, and it is in mint condition. Although I have the manga scans, it is still not the same. Especially in the past, collecting it required extra patience because of the long interval between the release of each volume, from 1997 to 2003.

This manga holds a special place in my heart. The story and the art have always been captivating. It's amazing how even after all these years, it can still bring back so many memories. I'm glad that I was able to complete my collection and can now enjoy reading it again and again. The journey of collecting this manga has been a memorable one, and I will always cherish it.
