This book is much better than the first one.

It has a significantly greater depth of character. The heroine in this book is extremely likable. She has a charm that draws the reader in and makes them root for her throughout the story.

The hero, on the other hand, is the strong, silent, and sexy type. His presence adds an element of mystery and allure to the narrative.

The author has done a great job of developing the characters and creating a story that keeps the reader engaged from start to finish.

Overall, this is a highly recommended book for anyone who enjoys a good romance with well-developed characters and an interesting plot.

That was truly an enjoyable and exciting experience. The story was filled with such heat and passion that it kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish.

I do wish that publishers would take the initiative to put numbers on books within a series. This simple addition would be of great help to readers like me. It would enable us to clearly know which book is which and avoid the confusion of accidentally starting with the wrong one, such as book #2 instead of the first in the series.

However, in this particular case, it doesn't really matter all that much. The book has been crafted in such a way that it can stand alone. It has its own unique plot, well-developed characters, and engaging storyline that can be fully appreciated even without prior knowledge of the other books in the series.

Nonetheless, I still believe that numbering the books would enhance the overall reading experience and make it more convenient for readers to navigate through the series.

LOVED IT!!

I truly adored this experience. It was an absolute delight from start to finish. The moment I engaged with it, I was immediately captivated. Every aspect of it held my attention and made me completely immersed. The details were so carefully crafted, and it had a charm that was impossible to resist. It brought a smile to my face and filled me with a sense of joy and satisfaction. I can't wait to have more of it in the future. It has left a lasting impression on me, and I will definitely recommend it to others.

I am so glad that I discovered this wonderful thing. It has added a new and exciting dimension to my life. Loved it with all my heart!

So I initially thought I would detest this book. After all, it's about Seamus, and he's sort of a stickler, you know?

In the first book, I imagined him as a bit of a weasel. So when Cara described him as drop dead gorgeous (and I'm not making any puns here), it really threw off my mental image. LOL.

But you know what? I ended up loving both characters. The way they interacted was so engaging, and the story just unfolded beautifully.

I actually picked up this series because of the description of this particular book, and I'm so glad I did. It definitely didn't disappoint. It had me hooked from the very beginning, and I couldn't put it down until I finished.

The author did a great job of creating complex and relatable characters, and the plot was full of twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat.

Overall, I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance with a bit of mystery and adventure thrown in.

Wait, why was this one so much worse? It had better main characters, but, omfg, this is crazy. This was like genuinely late-season Vampire Diaries incomprehensible.

It is so genuinely funny how actually unnerving, creepy, and sad all of Kelsey's scenes are compared to everything else. It's like a hydrogen bomb vs. every other girl's coughing baby, and she never gets a mainline book.

I was excited because the next one (book 3) is about two of my favorite characters, and I just read page one of it, and it's apparently a pregnancy book. Yeah, I'm jumping. And yet it's the shortest one. Ruh roh.

It's incredibly funny.

I picked it up in a thrift shop with no expectations whatsoever.

To my surprise, it made me giggle countless times. There is just enough spice in the story to keep it interesting and engaging.

Moreover, it is very well-written. The author has done an excellent job of creating a vivid and entertaining world.

One of the best things about this book is that you can read it easily without having to read the first book in the series.

This makes it a great choice for those who are new to the author's work or who don't have the time to read the entire series.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a lighthearted and enjoyable read.

Legit, I started this book over 10 years ago and finally managed to finish it! It's quite an accomplishment. I bought this book right after I completed the Twilight series when I was still really into the whole Vampire kick. Back in 2009, I got most of the way through it but just never got around to finishing it.

However, tonight I picked it back up. I skimmed through the earlier parts to refresh my memory and then read all the way to the end. To be honest, Vampires aren't really my thing anymore. But despite that, I have to admit that overall it's a fun story. It has some really hot sex scenes that add an extra layer of excitement to the plot.

Even though my interest in Vampires has waned over the years, this book still managed to hold my attention and provide an entertaining read. It's kind of nostalgic to look back and see how my reading preferences have changed since I first started this book so long ago.

Light hearted/spirited vampire romance.

Cara is a virgin strip tease dancer who performs behind a screen, only her shadow visible. She does this to pay for veterinary school and elder care for her Korean great grandmother in a convalescent home. She's also a lucky poker player and is wary of relationships as she had a bad one where the guy respected her decision to wait for marriage for sex but was having sex with everyone else. Seamus, Ethan's campaign manager, has been controlled and controlling since the betrayal of Marie 200 years ago when he was almost guillotined to death (he still bears the scar). He stays away from women but takes care of those he feels responsible for in his own way. Kelsey, who has been clinging to Seamus since he gave her his blood after she was drained and her memory isn't quite intact, goes with him to the strip club where Alexis' aunt works as a strip manager. Seamus is enchanted by the woman dancing behind the screen, Cara. He goes backstage with the intention of using vampire mind games to seduce her into coffee and bed, but she resists and tells him to go.

Seamus and Kelsey leave through the back door to the alley where 3 thugs are waiting to kill him. Kelsey goes with one of them, Ringo/Kyle, who remembers trying to protect her when he was human and still wants to. Cara feels Seamus' danger and goes out into the alley. She freezes like a deer in headlights, trying to make sense of the fight (with tall leaps, body slams, and fangs), and hears Seamus' voice in her head telling her to go back inside. When one of the assassins sees her, she panics and runs away, right into an oncoming SUV.
Seamus feels responsible and pulls Cara's blood and gives her his, starting the conversion to save her life. He takes her to his suite at the hotel, and it's the beginning of the end for him. He keeps her to protect her, the campaign, teach her the rules, and help her learn to live as a vampire. She wants her animals, so in a funny scene, he manages to bring her 2 labs, 1 chihuahua, and 2 cats. She takes blood from his wrist and orgasms as he touches her, but he doesn't push her to have sex when she's vulnerable. Alexis counsels Cara to 'scare' Seamus away by being what he most dislikes - a relationship - so Cara starts decorating the suite in pink, organizing his things, and fawning over him. He takes it because he wants her to be happy.
They both come to realize they love each other and trust each other. He believes her when she tells him she's a virgin, and they have a passionate night. Donatello, Ethan's opponent, is behind the death orders. He converted Ringo/Kyle and is rationing drug-laced blood to him to control him. Ringo feeds Donatello information about Seamus and Cara. There are several attempts to spy on Ethan and attacks on Seamus and his girlfriend. Kelsey helps Ringo at one point, but things get complicated when Ringo holds a knife to her throat as a hostage. However, Kelsey forces the knife to slice her jugular and tells Ringo to stay and let them help him.
Seamus feels guilty about risking the campaign by breaking the rules concerning Cara and avoids her. Alexis finds out he's been feeding Cara, which is against the rules as it can give him control of her. Both are mad at their mates, and Cara moves into a new room. Seamus and Ethan get drunk and go to confront Donatello but get confined. Seamus calls Kelsey for help, and she gets Alexis and Cara together to go to the rescue. They fall into Donatello's hands, and he forces Cara to dance for him or else he'll kill the other two. Seamus and Ethan break free and go to the rescue. They get Donatello to withdraw from the election.
Seamus finds Cara visiting her grandmother, and the grandmother seems to like him. He proposes, and she accepts. They decide on a vampire wedding that very night. Meanwhile, Brittney is sick with flu-like symptoms but no fever (something vampirey?). She can't get a hold of Alexis and wishes for Carter, who shows up and takes care of her. After they had sex a month earlier and she was embarrassed, she asked him to leave, and he did. Hmmmm, could this be the setup for book #3?

This book picks up right where the previous one left off, so it is highly advisable to read this series in sequence.

Seamus is determined to discover who Brittany's vampire father is. Since Alexis and Brittany's mother passed away a few years ago, he can't ask her. However, they do have an aunt who was once a stripper and now works as a choreographer in a strip club. Accompanied by Kelsey, who refuses to leave him for even five minutes since he brought her back to undead life, he sets off to enjoy the show. To his astonishment, he is completely aroused by a shadow dancer. After 200 years of celibacy, this woman truly tempts him, and he decides to act on it, if only he can get rid of Kelsey for a few minutes. Utilizing his vampire speed, it is not difficult for him to get backstage and ask this stripper out for coffee. But to his great surprise, she rejects him. Can she resist his vampire mind tricks? That really stinks.

Then Kelsey comes storming into the room, informing him that the men who kidnapped her are here. She is completely terrified, and he has to take care of her first. But outside the club, Seamus is attacked by three other vampires, and they mean business. It has been a while since he has been in a serious fight, and he enjoys it. Until he sees the third vampire order Kelsey to come with him, and she simply goes.

In the meantime, the stripper, Cara, senses that something is amiss with Seamus and goes outside to look. The second vampire spots her and attempts to bite her, causing her to flee into traffic, where she is hit by a car. This kills her. Seamus truly cannot leave her like that; she made him feel emotions again, and he makes the decision to turn her into a vampire to save her life.

Cara is not pleased when she wakes up in Seamus' hotel suite. She has a life; she is studying to become a veterinarian, and she has to take care of her animals: three dogs and two cats. Seamus has no choice but to fetch those animals if he wants her to stay with him. Cara is now his responsibility, and she will be in danger if he lets her go. She needs to learn how to be a vampire first. They can't risk detection by humans or for her to kill one in a blood frenzy. Cara wants her own room; she is a virgin and doesn't want to mess up her life by getting involved with a man, even one as hot as Seamus. So she does her utmost to get him to kick her out by becoming like a nagging wife, without the benefits of sex, and transforming his suite into a pink Barbie paradise. But still, although Seamus hates what she does and makes him do, he doesn't want to give her up.

If it becomes public knowledge that he has turned a human into a vampire while Ethan is promoting "birth control", he will have to resign his position. He cannot risk Ethan not becoming the next president of the Vampire population again. But of course, Donatelli, his main opponent, doesn't rest and does everything he can to give bad press to Ethan and Seamus, even attempting to kill them. And now that he has his own pet assassin, addicted to drugged blood, he can do whatever he pleases.

I truly fell in love with this series. It is enjoyable, fast-paced, sweet at times, and still has a great story with more depth than you initially expect. I like Cara a great deal. She takes care of her great-grandmother and strips to earn enough money to study to become a vet. Her animals make for excellent secondary characters and distractions. She completely drives Seamus crazy. And for her, he breaks the laws he is so fond of. I do like it when a stickler gets unglued for a woman; they fall the hardest of all.

I have to admit that I didn't really like Seamus in the first book. He is so completely against Ethan's relationship with Alexis (and still doesn't like Alexis now). But he surprises me with his actions in this book. His willingness to break the rules for Cara, even when it endangers Ethan's campaign. I do want more of Donatelli, why he is so bad, and especially more about his history with Ethan's sister.

I highly recommend this series if you need something not too heavy to read. It is not overly humorous, with sarcasm or witticisms in every other sentence, but I still feel that it was a fun read. I am already reading the third book at the moment and have ordered the fourth and final one in the series.

Pretty standard vampire romance.

It follows the typical pattern that we have seen countless times before. The story usually begins with a beautiful and innocent human girl who crosses paths with a mysterious and brooding vampire. There is an instant attraction between them, despite the fact that the vampire is supposed to be her natural enemy.

As the relationship develops, they face numerous obstacles and challenges. The vampire must struggle to control his bloodlust and keep the girl safe from other vampires who might want to harm her. The girl, on the other hand, has to come to terms with the fact that she is in love with a creature of the night.

Despite all the difficulties, their love prevails, and they find a way to be together. It's a formula that has been used over and over again, but it still manages to capture the hearts of many readers and viewers. Maybe it's because we all have a secret longing for a love that is both passionate and dangerous.

Fun and fast-paced.

I must say that I definitely had a greater liking for this book compared to the first one. What I truly loved about it was that it managed to keep all of the major characters from the first book engaged and highly significant within the context of this story. It added a wonderful sense of continuity and depth.

I do plan on reading the next book in the series. However, I won't be in a huge rush to go out and obtain the next one immediately. I'll probably take my time and savor the anticipation before delving into the next installment.

This book has left me with a positive impression, and I'm curious to see how the story will unfold further in the future.

Overall, it was an enjoyable read that I would recommend to others who are fans of the genre.

Virgin stripper? I had no idea such a thing existed until I came across this book.

To be honest, I really liked it. The concept of politicians being vampires and a virgin stripper falling for a vampire is truly unique and engaging.

This book is simply awesome! Just like the famous saying "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas", this book fully embodies that sentiment as it revolves around the vampires in Vegas.

The story likely takes readers on a wild and exciting ride, filled with mystery, romance, and perhaps a touch of the supernatural.

I can't wait to see how the relationship between the virgin stripper and the vampire develops, and what other surprises this book has in store.

Overall, it's a great read that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for something different and entertaining.
