The Rezeau Family #2

I really didn't enjoy this follow-up to Vipère au Poing nearly as much as I did the first novel.

Maybe the reason for this is that there was a significantly reduced presence of the Mother.

It wasn't until the last third of this book that I finally started to find some level of interest.

The story seemed to lack the same kind of charm and intensity that the first one had.

The characters didn't quite draw me in as strongly, and the plot felt a bit flat in the beginning.

However, as I got closer to the end, things started to pick up and become more engaging.

There were some interesting developments and twists that made me glad I had stuck with it.

Overall, though, I still prefer the first novel in the series.

No interest, boring...

Life sometimes seems to be filled with such moments. When there is nothing that catches our attention or engages our emotions, it can feel like time is passing slowly and everything is just dull.

Maybe it's because we have become too accustomed to the routine, or perhaps we haven't found the right thing that truly激发s our passion.

However, we should not let these feelings of boredom and lack of interest consume us. We can try to break out of the monotony by exploring new hobbies, meeting new people, or simply changing our perspective.

There are countless opportunities out there waiting for us to discover. All we need is the courage to step out of our comfort zones and embrace the unknown.

So, the next time you find yourself feeling uninterested and bored, remember that there is a whole world of excitement and adventure just waiting for you to explore.

A brilliant analysis of how to survive ghastly parents without becoming one oneself!

Surviving difficult parents can be an arduous task. However, it is crucial to understand that one can break free from the cycle and not repeat the same mistakes. Firstly, it is essential to establish healthy boundaries. This means learning to say no and not allowing oneself to be emotionally manipulated. Secondly, seeking support from others, such as friends, family, or a therapist, can be extremely beneficial. They can provide a listening ear, offer advice, and help one gain perspective. Additionally, focusing on one's own personal growth and development is key. This can involve pursuing hobbies, learning new skills, or working on improving one's self-esteem. By taking these steps, one can not only survive ghastly parents but also emerge as a stronger, more resilient individual, free from the burden of their negative influence.

A Morte do Cavalinho is the second part of Hervé Bazin's autobiographical trilogy. Jean Rezeau left his family. Even far from his mother, the terrible Folcoche, her tyranny still haunts him. When his father dies, Jean believes he can take revenge, but how to humiliate a being who has the talent to make everything humiliating? The years of hatred did not prepare him for the love that he will have to learn. Through various experiences, Jean applies himself and, little by little, he will discover happiness.

We find the particularly intense atmosphere that Hervé Bazin created in De Víbora na Mão, as well as the detailed description of the characters and their character. The writing avoids the flowery, privileging a direct language with sharp irony. The cruelty of the analysis, the moving cynicism of the hero and the acidity of the style make Hervé Bazin's novel one of the best accusations against a certain type of family oppression.

I really enjoyed this book which complements "Vipère au poing" very well.

We are truly immersed in the story and I find the characters, dilemmas, and emotions very well described.

The writing is really brilliant, simple yet realistic.

I really like the evolution of René, especially thanks to the women he meets, the way he detaches himself from his childhood and starts to live for himself (and no longer against Folcoche), trying to do better than his parents.

This book offers a deep and engaging exploration of René's journey, filled with complex relationships and personal growth.

The author has done an excellent job of bringing the story to life and making the reader invested in the characters' fates.

Overall, it is a great read that I would highly recommend to anyone interested in a well-written and thought-provoking novel.

On n'aimerait pas avoir cette famille...

Reading it without knowing that it is the sequel to "Vipère au poing", which was not a problem.

A detestable mother, a real "Folcoche", a family where love is absent among the subscribers. A writing that is always accurate.

This family seems to be a nightmare. The mother is truly despicable, like a "Folcoche" character. In this family, the presence of love is nowhere to be found. It's as if love has completely abandoned this household. However, the author's writing is remarkable. It is always on point, accurately描绘ing the complex and often disturbing relationships within this family. Despite the unpleasant nature of the family being described, the quality of the writing keeps the reader engaged and interested in what will happen next.

Abandon à 43%. This statistic is truly alarming. It indicates that a significant portion, nearly half, of something is being abandoned.

We can only wonder what is being abandoned at such a high rate. Is it a project, a relationship, a goal? The implications could be far-reaching.

Abandonment often leads to wasted resources, lost opportunities, and a sense of disappointment. It can have a negative impact on individuals, teams, and even entire organizations.

Perhaps there are underlying reasons for this high rate of abandonment. Maybe there are difficulties or challenges that seem insurmountable. Or perhaps there is a lack of commitment or motivation.

Whatever the cause, it is essential that we address this issue. We need to find ways to encourage perseverance, provide support and resources, and foster a culture of determination and success.

By reducing the rate of abandonment, we can increase our chances of achieving our goals, building stronger relationships, and making a positive impact in the world.
