I hate Debbie. She’s so freaking annoying. And Darren being so caught up with her is also extremely annoying. It’s so frustrating to read about this.

This book contains the reappearance of many past characters, all of whom develop much more. Some of which you will fall in love with and others who you will grow to hate or at least dislike for their motives (yet I am not going to say which characters).

Continuing on with their mission against the Vampaneze, more twists occur which leave you wanting more. Another action packed book in the series, leaving you on the edge of your seat and unable to put the book down.

• I finally found out what Steve Leopard has been up too as well as finding he’s been turned into a half-vampaneze.

• I feel as though Darren is making rash decisions for a girl he dated so many years ago and is now aged more than him.

• I also feel as though Darren is going to end up losing the trust of those around him..

-Hopefully, the next book proves me wrong!!

The name of this book should be Deja vu'.

Darren Shan, Mr. Crepsley, and Harket Mulds travel to Crepsely's home town where they hope to find the Lord of the Vampaneze. To their surprise, they learn that Darren has been enrolled at some prep school. Sensing a trap, they decide to spring it by having Darren attend. While there, he discovers that his teacher is none other than Debbie Hemlock, his girlfriend from the third book, who is all grown up now. This isn't the only blast from the past, however, a brutal string of killings occur that has vampaneze written all over it. They are perpetrated by a vampaneze with hooks instead of hands. Finally, Darren is saved from the hooked vampaneze by none other than Steve "Leopard" Leonard, his former best friend, who vowed to one day become a vampire hunter and kill him...

I love how everything from the first trilogy was tied in here. I loved that he had to go back to school; I love that Steve; Debbie; and R.V. (yes he's back too) returned.

All in all, this was just as good as the first two if not better.

This was the book that made me stop adding middle grade tags and just add young adult. The series, like many, changes a bit as the character ages. I spent this whole book yelling internally at Darren for being so gullible. And the crush he has on his "teacher" is a little weird, though I know they are the same age. Darren just doesn't act like an adult and doesn't seem to think or look like one, so it's still weird. And poor Darren just can't catch a break. Every person he's ever met seems to blame him for their life and plot to kill him.

Empieza de nuevo con bastante suspenso y da pistas confusas para hacer mejores las revelaciones
