This is light, witty, funny and intertwined with horses! Not much else but to love it. I'm going to look for more books by this author right now! I love her writing style.
Nice, easy read. Haven't read a good grown-up horse book in a while, so this was refreshing. It did have a tendency to get a bit odd and far-fetched at times, but in a humorous way. Definitely a good choice for a nice summer day of reading in the hammock.
Light fluffy horse book for adult women. Many parts had me laughing out loud, especially the chaotic scene where the girls all decide to check out why Big Jim is called Big Jim! A fun read.
Very much enjoyed this book. Of course being a horse lover myself I liked having the horse stuff to relate too. It is a very funny book. It also has its sad parts where you can sympathize for the main character.
cute and chiclit up until it totally derailed for me on the cop scene. humor gone terribly tiresome and over the top. everyone finds a mate and lives happily ever after. remember why i don't read this type of book so often.
Terrible book. I don't think people really talk like this, as the author has them speak. Makes women sound stupid. Promotes boring old themes of finding a man, and horses are front and center; but not really believable.
This was the first book in a series of four that I read for my MFA's craft essay on horses in literature and I have no regrets. Hilarious, accurate, and with trailer full of horses and heart. If anyone's looking for a little solace, women friendship power, and rollicking horsey ridiculousness, I can't recommend HORSEPLAY enough.
