Hmm. I had to read the description of this book on Amazon before I could remember it. I completely had the plot of this book confused with Sarah Gruen's Riding Lessons. Well, I really liked this book! It was definitely interesting from a horse-lover's perspective. I felt like this could be me if I was twenty years older and recently cheated on and divorced. Maybe something I would do if I had to start all over.

This is a frothy chiffon of a book. A light (despite dealing with divorce) and quick read. Deals extensively with the horse world, so may not be for everyone. I just love that she describes Charles Aznavour (one of my favorite French singers) as the Willie Nelson of France. She has inventive powers of description.

Enjoyable view of the business of running a farm with dressage horses. Interesting character development and plot. Easy read.

I love this book! I'm usually a "serious" reader of non-fiction, especially history, but a few times a year I try to pick up something "fun"; something I can just read and enjoy without having to think too much about it. And this book definitely fit the bill. It's true chic lit, and maybe a bit cliche but so much fun. Many novels that are horse-related are either tragic and dramatic or lusty cowboy romances. This was so lighthearted and funny! I'd love to find more like it, if anyone has any suggestions.

I enjoyed this book for the most part. I laughed out loud a few times. It made me miss riding horses. Towards the end, it got kind of scattered, a couple pages were just plain stupid.

I read it because it was about horses, deep huh? But seriously I had been in a reading slump and wanted a mindless cute book that was about riding.
The main character Judy Van Brunt, leaves her philandering jerk of a husband to go work at a Dressage barn in the South this barn is run by a German Olympian who competed in Dressage.
She learns that Horses need boundarys much like people do, and she learns to stand up for herself and get over her fears along the way. There are twists some great some kind of silly and pointless. I enjoyed her discussions of the horses Judy Singer the Author is a rider herself and that part shows. All in all it was a fast read, and kind of a fun ride.

Actually found a book that made me laugh out loud. This is a light and entertaining book with interesting horse and life information/ways to live life. Were a couple of insignificant parts but I just skimmed over those and enjoyed the book the majority of the time.

This book was a lot of fun, well worth the read! One of the few horse-related books I've read in the last few years that I really enjoyed.
