Rereading this with my daughter… There aren’t words to describe experiencing any good book for the first time all over again through my kiddos fresh eyes. It’s seriously like introducing them to beloved family members whom I haven’t seen in forever.

Another children's novel read many years ago. Highly recommended for beginning readers. Adults might find it interesting as an introduction to the maritime provinces of Canada.

I remember reading this book in the fourth grade but I didn't really remember much about the story. The second time around, I enjoyed it very much.

My first favorite book. I received the box set for Christmas when I was 8 or 9. It consumed me for a year of my life. I dreamt of dyeing my black hair red just as Anne Shirley had dyed her red hair black.
