I LOVE these books. The best children's character ever. I had dreams about Anne as a child, I wanted to be her...and now I get to re-live it with my daughter, yippee!
Reread the first 2 in the sires and enjoyed the lite read. Would love to see Prince Edward Island now. Will read the rest too as have the set different publication than that pictured.
I love Anne. I hope all my little girls read this series. It's not easy to find wholesome, witty, ambitious, humorous, kind... role models. I can't help but feel close to Anne. I was given this series when I was 10. It was a series that belonged to my cousin Becky. She died when she was 13 of cancer.
This is the story of a young orphan girl named Anne (must be spelled with an 'e'), who no one wants to keep. She has red hair, a quick temper, and a great imagination. I highly recommend it to everyone, especially young girls
I have read almost all of the books in this set and I loved all of them. Anne is a great character and it is great how the author develops her as she matures and how she affects the lives of those around her.
