The history of Qudditch describing the "pitch" the "quaffle" , the players "chasers", "beaters" the "golden snitch' - rules etc.

Fantastic Beast & Where to Find Them was more interesting to me...give it 4*s. It is a description of mythical beasts, what country you will find them in, and their characteristics. Similar to the "Bird" books I reference to find the features of each bird (i.e. - habitat, coloring, song or tweet, size etc.)

I love this box-set! Absolutely adorable! The books themselves are full of information about creatures and the game you've only gotten in necessity in the books. They are very smart and very humorous- I literally laughed out loud many times & read them aloud to my family! I also own the books separately:) It's a very neat way to showcase them on you're book shelf! And will also make a nice gift! ~8-) and the fact that 100% of the proceeds of buying the books in any form go to help the Comic Relief fund! You win on all accounts in my opinion!

Jobberknoll is hilarious:
“It makes no sound until the moment of its death,
at which point it lets out a long scream made up
of every sound it has ever heard, regurgitated backwards.”

It’s all very creative. Too bad flying brooms aren’t real. This would be a fun sport.

The book on the mystical creatures (or whatever you call them) was by far the more interesting of the two books, but then maybe that's because I'm female and sports (even Quiddich) don't really interest me.

I especially enjoyed reading all of Harry and Ron's hand written comments. : )

I just want to thank Ninzy Flores for lending me these awesome books. But anyway, it was awesome and it made me feel like I got it straight from Hogwarts! I learned a lot from this book, really. I mean, I never really knew they use cushion charms to feel comfortable while riding a broomstick!

I rate these books as 3 or 5 stars. 5 stars are given if you want to immerse yourself in the world of Harry Potter, these books add depth to the novels. If read independently or for readers that are not Harry Potter fans, the books are not interesting enough to hold their own.

The 3 books in my set were OK. I like the way Ron's scribbling was done in Fantastic Beasts, and the way Quidditch through the ages was printed like an actual library book. Tales of Beedle the Bard would have been better if it had more stories in it, especially with the price charged. If it wasn't for the fact that the royalties for this set go to decent charities, I would have been quite disappointed.

Also love to learn more about the Harry Potter world. Love that you can find out other parts of the story

Quidditch through the Ages - Wonderful. I love reading about the extensive history of that magical sport we all know or of which we are unaware, and either love or hate or somewhere in between.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them - The content is great, but the best parts are Harry and Ron's scribbles.

I loved these books, mostly because they were great side stories for the main world, and they were published for a good cause.

A cute addition to the HP series (both books written as Hogwarts textbooks). I would have liked to see more images of the different beasts, as they can be hard to imagine. But still cute none the less. Plus, a portion of proceeds go to charity :)
