Won't rate this as per my decision to not rate non-fiction as of July 2020.
How can one person be so self-absorbed? This book is so over the top and not what the title claims it is. I won't delve into the politics, I think this was published before he became president of the USA. Either way, he talks about dressing for the job you want to have as clothes are very important for this billionaire lifestyle of his, play golf, talks about his favorite brands for food, furniture, shampoo and even credit cards for crying out loud! and they're not said as my favorite but rather: The best credit card is American Express, the best hamburger is in McDonald's (because he's done an ad with them!!! where other brands have failed to reach out to him, oh dear...). Like, okay...Mr Billionaire, we get it. That's your opinion and doesn't have to be everyone else's either. According to this book, one can't be a billionaire if one doesn't think like Trump (which I can't say, I'm not a billionaire...yet hahah). This is ode to consumerism at best and that's something I have mixed feelings about.
Read this out of curiosity, I didn't teach me how to become a billionaire, but rather how self-absorbed and self-centered the author is. I won't be reading any more of his books after this experience. I do not recommend this read.
Some good info, but a lot of fluff. Only the first 3 out of 5 sections contain learnable information. The 4th section is a week in the life and the 5th section is about the final episode of the Apprentice.
Compared to all the books on success I've read this by far is the most useless. The first third of the book is dedicated to stating the obvious. For example the chapter on how to find a good peice of real estate said "get a broker" followed by the chapter on getting a good interest rate from the bank "you must negotiate." Thanks Trump, I couldn't have figured that out myself.
The remaining two thirds of the book were dedicated to promoting the second season of the Apprentice in a blatant attempt to assure that season 2 was as successful as season 1.
