It’s not that the article was poorly written. It only receives 2 stars because I couldn't understand half of what I was reading. It seemed as if the author sort of expected the reader to have at least some knowledge about physiology, which I don't possess. However, within all that complex writing, there was some really good information on why you need to drink water, and you should start right now before disease takes hold.

According to this doctor, it is the long-term chronic dehydration of cells in your body that is the starting point of almost all degenerative diseases. By properly hydrating your cells with pure water (not tea, not coffee, nor juice), there is a significant chance that your disease will reverse itself, as long as it hasn't persisted for too long and firmly established in your body. Even in that case, you may still find some relief with water. Regarding kidney disease, he explains a slower introduction to drinking water and the care you need to take when on diuretics.

Your body will begin to发出 distress signals due to chronic dehydration before immunity breakdown, and then eventually the onset of degenerative diseases occurs. If your mouth is dry or your urine is dark yellow or orange, then you are already, and have long been, chronically dehydrated. With the body consisting of 75% water and the brain 85% water, we must ensure that we are drinking plenty of it on a daily and continuous basis. Every single function in the body depends on the efficient flow of water.

RECOMMENDED WATER REGIMEN:

No less than 2 to 2-1/2 quarts of pure water (that's 8 to 10 (8 oz) glasses) daily minimum for a long period to fully hydrate the body. Consuming a large amount in just a few days to make up for the lack of drinking water doesn't work. Hydrating your body requires continuous water intake for weeks, sometimes months, to properly hydrate your cells so that you start to see and feel the results of disappearing symptoms.

Upon waking, begin your day with one or two 8 oz glasses of water (before morning coffee).

• Drink a glass of water 30 minutes before each meal...breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and a glass 2-1/2 hours after each meal. (That's 6 glasses of water so far.) Add an extra glass after heavy meals and/or 2 glasses before bed.

• Take 2 (1/2 hour) walks a day...morning and evening.

• Limit fatty and fried foods.

• Eat more omega-3 rich foods: flax seed, flax oil.

• Eat more omega-6 rich foods: safflower & sunflower oils (A spoonful daily of Dr. Udo's Choice oil mix: flax, sunflower, sesame, rice germ oil, wheat germ oil, oat germ oil, lecithin, vitamin E, and special triglycerides...should provide all the essential fatty acids the body needs).

There is a lot more to this book if you can persevere through it. The chapters deal with some of the more common degenerative diseases that cause chronic pain, ones we are all familiar with or know someone suffering from, such as dyspeptic pain (heartburn, acid reflux), asthma and allergies, cholesterol, high blood pressure, rheumatoid arthritis pain, anginal pain (heart pain on walking, or even at rest), low back pain, intermittent claudication (leg pain on walking), migraines and hangover headaches, colitis pain, brain issues (Alzheimer’s), and more. He delves into the physiology of each and tells you how to combat it.

Unintentional chronic dehydration is a significant issue that often goes unnoticed.

When we don't consume enough water, our bodies can enter a state of chronic dehydration. This can lead to the production of stress and chronic pains.

If these signals are missed, it can have serious consequences, often resulting in disease.

It's important to be aware of the many reasons why we can so easily slip into this destructive pattern without really noticing it.

For example, we may be too busy to drink enough water, or we may not realize the importance of staying hydrated.

This article is worth reading as it provides an easy-to-understand explanation of unintentional chronic dehydration, backed by science.

It alerts you to the potential risks and encourages you to take steps to stay hydrated and maintain good health.

By being more conscious of our water intake, we can avoid the negative effects of chronic dehydration and reduce our risk of developing stress, chronic pains, and disease.

So, make sure to read this article and take the necessary steps to keep your body hydrated and healthy.

Your not sick, you're thirsty! The importance of water and salt in human health

Water and salt are two essential elements for maintaining human health. Our bodies are composed mostly of water, and it plays a crucial role in various physiological processes. It helps regulate body temperature, lubricate joints and tissues, and transport nutrients and waste products. Without an adequate supply of water, our bodies can quickly become dehydrated, leading to symptoms such as fatigue, dizziness, and headaches.

Salt, on the other hand, is also necessary for proper bodily function. It helps maintain fluid balance, transmit nerve impulses, and contract and relax muscles. However, it's important to consume salt in moderation, as excessive intake can lead to high blood pressure and other health problems.

In conclusion, it's essential to drink enough water and consume salt in moderation to maintain good health. By staying hydrated and maintaining the right balance of water and salt in our bodies, we can ensure that our physiological processes function properly and avoid the negative effects of dehydration and electrolyte imbalances.

Interesting, but I'm not entirely convinced that drinking copious amounts of water will cure absolutely everything, which is more or less what he writes. I'm well aware that I don't consume enough water, so I'm currently working on increasing my intake. However, I'm not certain that I'll ever be able to reach the recommended 2 - 3 quarts per day. It seems like a rather ambitious goal for me. I understand the importance of staying hydrated, but I'm still a bit skeptical about the claim that it can cure all ailments. Maybe there's some truth to it, but I need more evidence to be fully convinced. I'll continue to try and drink more water, but I'll also be keeping an eye on any potential benefits or lack thereof.

This is yet another book recommended by Dr. Lorraine Day, which supports one of the steps in her 10-Step Health Plan. The step is to stay extremely well hydrated, which means consuming 8 eight-ounce glasses of water daily, or even more if you sense an asthma or pain attack approaching. This is a straightforward and cost-free healing method that everyone can adopt.

There are numerous testimonials in this book from individuals who have cured themselves of various ailments such as achy joints, back pain, ulcers, asthma, allergies, and headaches, simply by increasing their water intake. This is how our bodies flush out toxins. Every system and cell, especially the immune system, demands water and cannot operate properly without it.

One remarkable study was mentioned, in which 3000 ulcer patients were cured just by having them drink more water, without the need for medications! (It should be noted that for every 10 cups of water, you should consume 1/2 teaspoon of high-quality salt with your food to prevent flushing out all your electrolytes.)

Yes, initially, you will have to urinate more frequently, but as you get into the habit, things will improve, and the urgency will decrease. The author claims that many backaches can be attributed to insufficient water consumption. Therefore, now whenever I feel back pain starting, I immediately increase my water intake.

(Not part of this book: Dr. Day credits drinking 16-20 glasses of water a day as the final crucial element in the healing process when she was still in the early stages (nearing death) of trying to figure out how to heal herself from stage IV breast cancer. This was before her 10-Step Health Plan had solidified in her mind and during the early months of her healing journey. Hydration is a vital key in the healing process. She even recommends drinking water at night when you have to get up to use the bathroom. Keep drinking, even then. I now keep water by my bed at night.)
