I am so biased when it comes to this series. I read these books from middle school to after I became an adult. This series has made me ball my eyes out and took me on crazy adventures. The ending was not what I was expecting and it made me cry even more. I will never forget the impact this series left on me growing up.

You know, I'm honestly not entirely sure how I feel about this book. On the one hand, I think it was the greatest series ending ever. But, on the other hand, I completely hate how Darren was manipulated and, ultimately, forced to choose a fate that I really didn't like. But I really can't go into that without going into A LOT of spoilers. So, let's just say, I've enjoyed this series so much and I'm almost in complete denial that I'm actually finished since I've been reading it sporadically for about two years now. And when I think about how this series ended, sometimes I'm at peace with it and other times, I wish there had been another way.

So, I'll just say really all I know how to say. Thank you, Darren Shan, for giving us this incredible series. It was quite a ride. And I, well, I would say I enjoyed every minute of it but, in certain moments, 'enjoyed' may be too strong a word. I'm not great with watching my favorite characters die and quite a few of them were lost in this series. But I honestly and truly loved this series and I really can't believe I've finally finished it. Had I my own way, it-- like Harry Potter, Georgia Nicholson and my other favorite book series --would go on and on.

I remember hating this book, I look forward to rereading this series sometime soon to see how I feel about it almost 10 years later!

I seriously disliked this book series. It wasn't good. I originally bought all twelve books because, one it was an amazing deal, and two I had read most of the first one and it was brilliant. But the series was dragged out and pointless most of the time. I honestly felt like the author could have ended it when Darren became a Prince.

These books are so thin, and are normally all under 200 pages long, yet they take me so long to read because they just drain me of energy. There is nothing interesting about it. The story line is boring, Darren dying is boring, Darren becoming a Little Person is boring, everything is boring. It was a huge effort to pick up the book and open it. I was reading a paragraph and that would keep me going for a few weeks. I just didn't see the point in the War of the Scars. It was pointless and a waste of time. When I first started this book, I thought Darren was going to become Lord Loss from the authors another book saga, The Demonata series and honestly that idea would have made this book one thousand times more interesting.

I can't remember the day I first read this book but it was around ten years ago. I started reading the cirque du freak saga when I was at school at 15 and to be honest it was the huge picture of a spider on the front that drew me to it! So I read and read and before I knew it I was on this book the finale. Darren, you will always be my favouritte author, as you were the one that made me get in to reading. Entering that magical world where you are on this long journey with these amazing characters. On an adventure you know you would never have in real life, its just a means of escape. Anyway back to the review, after experiencing all Darren's hard ships over the years getting to the final battle was really heartbreaking. This book contains self sacrifice, friendship, darkness and how it all links to the beggining was inspired (wont spoil the twist for those who havent read) But that ending no matter how many times I have read it, always makes me cry. This saga is a work of art and you should be very proud.

The end does pick up some and I thought it was clever how he ended it. Maybe boys would love this series, but I started out a huge fan and I just didn't love the rest of it. I kept hoping it would pick up for me, but it's just not my type of Vampire.

حقیقتا لذت بخش بود، قدرت تخیل دارن شانِ نویسنده را تحسین میکنم اما دوست نداشتم اینجور تمام شود
،دوست نداشتم دارنِ نیمه شبح از داستان حذف شود هرچند از لحاظ منطق خود داستان هم چیز عجیبی بود! اگر دارن پسر دیسموند تینی بود رفتنش از سیرک عجایب بخاطر ترسیدن از دارنِ آدم کوچولو و بعد حذف شدنش از کل قضیه عجیب است! دیسموند تینی به همین راحتی بیخیال پسرش شد و اجازه داد سرنوشتش تغییر کند و هیچوقت در مسیری که بخاطرش او را بوجود آورده بود قرار نگیرد؟
آرزوی هر پایانی داشتم جز این هرچند از ربط دادنش به خود نویسنده و چاپ کتاب خوشم آمد!

جلد آخر! خب دارن شان خوب سركارمون گذاشت! خوشم اومد :)))))
