The First Half of the story follows most the series pretty well. Vampaneze V Vampires, Steve V Darren. I could follow that story very well. It would have been a fit ending half way through the books. They take each other out. Done. It's clean and concrete. I liked it.

Then Mr. Tiny comes in and ruins it with his shit.

The Second Half reminded me a lot of Lake of Souls and I think that one was written just to prepare for the final book. So many things were introduced that would have required way too much explanation here. The whole soul become a little person and Evanna's role in general was just so different from the rest of the series. I didn't care for it at all.

However, three stars for dragons!!!

THE ENDING! WTF WAS THAT?! I love this series but I hate the ending!

Overall I enjoyed this series. It's not one I grew up with, but many of my friends did. I found some of the books a bit hit and miss, especially when it came to the timey-wimey aspects. Ralph Lister was a good narrator and brought the story and characters to life, Harkat being my favourite. This book provided a good conclusion to the series.
