I absolutely hated the ending. I was really excited for the huge finale that all 12 books have been milking, only for it to be pried from my hands and ripped to shreds. Don't get me wrong, the series itself was great, but I'm extremely disappointed with the ending. It's as if the author gave up half way through writing it, and looked for the easy way out.

I JUST REALISED FOR ABOUT THE WHOLE OF THIS SERIES I’VE BEEN SPELLING AND PRONOUNCING HARKAT’S NAME WRONG AS HARAKAT OMG WHAT

I had goosebumps almost the whole time and especially the last 20 pages or so just reminded me why I love this series so much.
It was my third time reading the series but so many things I had forgotten from my previous reads that it was still surprising. I think that this book together with the second one is my favorite. Of course there is the Vampire Mountain trilogy which stands above all but besides this, the other two are my favorite.

I wanna thank Darren Shan for having created this (and every other) beautiful and extraordinary world!

The denouement of the war between the vampanese and vampires has already claimed many victims, and it seems that more and more are being added every day.

Darren Shan has already experienced a lot of misery, but despite the fact that the end is near, the misery only seems to pile up.

How will the war end? Who will be the winners or losers?
Will the past forever influence the future or can certain events still be reversed?

I found the ending very impressive, but the author failed to answer some of my questions according to the plot.

The world building along with the original characters made it an unforgettable reading experience for me.
Good to mention that the name of the series is a bit misleading. In total, only 2 books are about the circus itself.

There are a number of elements in the storyline that can be experienced as shocking by young children. I read online that the books can be read from 9/11 years and older, but I do not completely agree with that. Some of the books contain many violent scenes with lots of blood and gore.

داستان با نبرد آخر به اوج می‌رسه اما این پایان غافلگیری‌های کتاب نیست. پایان‌بندی ماجرا بسیار خلاقانه و جالب بود. با یه لبخند کتاب رو تموم کردم. امتیازم به جلد آخر ۴.۵ بود.

Heb de hele serie gebinged. Vind het einde van boek 12 wel beetje tegenvallen. Ik had liever gewild dat hij zijn lot tegen ging in plaats van het te voorkomen verder was het nog steeds een heel goed geschreven boek. Had me vanaf blz.1 van het eerste boek tot de laatste blz. Van het laatste.

Horrible. I'm so glad that I read 12 books so that I could find out that it was all a dream...

These books are what made me interested in reading as a child and they will always hold a special place in my heart. That being said, while re-reading them as an adult they definitely have a lot of issues I didn’t notice when I was kid. They are mostly easy enough to ignore if you remind yourself that the target audience is 12ish year old boys but either way the cop-out ending was trash even for kids. Who cares though, if I never stumbled upon these books in 4th grade I probably would have never read for fun when I was that age.

دارن عجب فداکاری‌ای کرد :) پایانشو دوست داشتم.

I hate this book. This is the only book in the series that I hated. Everything that happened in the previous 11 books were not done because the characters had a choice. Everything was caused by Mr. Small. This book made very mad and sad. Reading the first 11 books was a waste of my time because of the last book.
