I saw the movie for One For the Money this weekend and decided to go back and reread. My library had this three books in one so I decided to reread all three. Still just as funny especially when Grandma Mazur shoots the chicken. Stephanie and Lula working together is easily the best part of book three.

It was time to start at the beginning and read through in order. At least until I get to the others I've already read.

From book One JE has had the ability to tell a good story with suspense and humor. The characters are flawed and yet likeable, and the stories, while you would think are restricted in variability nonetheless maintain interest even after reading a number of them.

The romantic tension between Stephanie and Joe Morelli (or Ranger) give added flavor to these good reads.

Now, on to #4.

I've actually finished the next two books after these three so I'm a little fuzzy on when I finished this one, not to mention, all five books are kind of blended together.

Several bits of information gets repeated in the first several books, but I suppose if someone didn't start at the beginning for some reason, or didn't, like I did, read them all in rush they probably wouldn't have noticed it, while I found it kind of annoying.

At the end of the first three books, I'm still not sold on Morelli, but Ranger on the other hand is made of awesome and needs to be in it more.(which she nicely obliges in the fifth book =D)

Laugh out loud funny

I love these books. Just the way the author uses words to paint you into the action. I love the characters, and enjoy these book for light summer reading.

FUNNY!!! Stephanie Plum blackmails her uncle into allowing her to work for him as a bounty hunter. What makes this so funny is that she is afraid of guns (uses hairspray instead), blows up every new car she's ever owned, and finds herself in embarrassing situations all the time. It's also a romance series-- as she tries to decide between a hot bounty hunter and an equally gorgeous cop. Great summer beach/plane read.

I've seen JE everywhere, but it wasn't until I mentioned it on an Amazon forum, that I got serious about reading the Stephanie Plum series. I bought a used book #1, then found the Three Plums in One at the library. It wouldn't hurt my feelings to cut back on the language, a couple of notches, but I LOVE the books!

Stephanie has lost her job, in book 1, so goes to work for her Cousin Vinnie, as a bounty hunter. She's totally inept, and gets into more trouble than anyone I've ever seen. Her family is a riot, especially Grandma Mazur. Popping in and out is Joe Morelli, who's had a sexual impact on Stephanie, since she was 6. It's a love/hate relationship that will keep you in stitches.

Stephanie slowly becomes better at bounty hunting, but gets herself into all kinds of trouble, along the way. You have to read these to see what I mean, but not many books have ever made me laugh out loud, and certainly not tense, mysteries.

Stephanie Plum, a young New Jersey woman, is out of work, and the only job that seems available is that of a bounty hunter working for her bail bondsman cousin. This book contains the first three books in what I think is a long series. I found it at my local library while looking for something else and figured I'd give it a try. It's not as humorous as I expected from the cover blurbs, but it has some snarky banter and a few witty bits. The one thing that really does strain one's capacity for disbelief is why the protagonist sticks with an extremely dangerous job that she so clearly isn't suited for and isn't very good at. But the pacing is good and it's a quick read. I'll probably go ahead and pick up more of these from the library.

A friend recommended this. Thought it would be a quick, EASY read without thinking to hard. Don't waste your time. It's a mystery (and a mystery to me why anyone would waste their time on this!) Very silly and unbelievable. One of those books that is sooo precitable and I"ll tell you how they all end..she gets her guy, although clumsily, and there's always a hottie in the process. Yuck!

When you need a laugh

Lucille Ball comes to mind when I read these books because I find myself smiling a good deal of the time. You have a crazy woman bounty hunter in training and everything that can go wrong usually does. Throw in too hunks and you have a great mix.
