Lori Petty is reading these and I love Lori Petty.

I only listened to One for the Money on this set. Sadly, it is too abridged for me. When I went from disc 2 to disc 3, I felt like I had missed a whole disc and didn't understand how we got from there to here in the story. I'm big frownie facing this because I don't think Lori Petty reads the unabridged versions. That makes me sad because she did an awesome job.

This series of books, The Stephanie Plum Series, is hilarious! The writing is pretty simplistic, with no difficult words but that makes it a great vacation book. Prepare to laugh as you read about an amateur bounty hunter from Jersey and her adventures of capturing bail jumpers. Two potential love interests heat things up in this page turner you won't want to put down.

Recommendation from a high school friend (Ms Nase) when I was complaining that I didn't know what I was going to do once Sue Grafton reached Z is for Z-word. I'm amused by these three - they're much lighter in tone that Grafton has been recently, but still has plenty of odd people, weird happenings, and a sense of mystery. I like the series enough that I'll keep following it. As she's up to 15 (I think) now, it ought to be a while before I get caught up - especially, if I keep rationing the mysteries out to only one or so a season.

First off, I love Lori Petty's narration and I'm sad that she didn't do any more beyond the first 3 books. I really enjoyed these audiobooks, and if you like Janet Evanovich's books, I think you'll love the audiobooks.

One For the Money - Stephanie is laid-off and looking for a way to make money quick because her car's just been repossessed and she has no food in the fridge. She becomes a bail-bondsman for a cousin and her first job is an old boyfriend who was her first. This book was not only funny but some of the characters were downright psychotic scary. Very good book.

Two For the Dough - Stephanie and Joe Morelli are looking for Joe's cousin, who is a psycho. Now the cousin is after Stephanie and her grandmother. Funny story. Hated thinking about the way this guy hurt her grandmother, but all done with humor.

Three to Get Deadly - This one is about vigilantes gone wrong. And finally Stephanie and Joe start to take their relationship to another level.

I love Stephanie Plum, the main character of Evonovich's books. Stephanie is a misfit bounty hunter who always gets her "man" in the end, but suffers through many haphazzard and whacky events along the way. It's a battle of good vs. evil with a hilarious twist. I've read the first 15 (they all have a number in the titles - the first being One for the Money). Quick and funny reads.

Rather than rating each book in her series - I will try to find the ones that are bound together to make it easy. The Stephanie Plum books are just funny, light reading with some murder mystery thrown in. My kids know when I am reading one of her books because i actually laugh out loud at the characters because Janet Evanovich makes you seem like you are right in the middle of it.

The Adventures Stephanie Plum!

This boxed set is a keeper! I figured I would be reading g for weeks since the books were all at least 250 pages in length. Color me surprised when I finished in less than a week! I got so engrossed with the characters and the stories.

Definitely will be reading more of this series in the future!! I'm not afraid to admit to being a closet fan of Stephanie Plum and Grandma Mazer!
