If you start reading one Stephanie Plum book and enjoy it, suddenly you want to read them all. (As long as they stay good. That's the real challenge with long running series. Are they any good after the fifth or sixth one?)

I always skipped over these books at Barnes & Noble due mainly to their covers; but don't let that stop you. These books are fun, hilarious, and still a mystery. Yeah, some things maybe obvious, but there will be just as much, if not more, that you won't see. Take the time and try these books. If you don't like the first one, than you haven't missed anything, but the series continues to get better with each book. Like I said, I wasn't crazy about the books initially, but when my cousin recommended them, I gave them a try and now I am counting down the days until the next one is out.

This series has been running for so long it's in the secondary double-digits, so having the first three in one volume is a great way to finally start out.

I read One last year, then took way too long of a break for this series, and just read Two and Three this past week and a half or so.

One and Two are thoroughly fantastic and Three is still very good while I found some of the plodding and build-up to be not as interesting despite it also giving me some new character and world elements I was waiting for.

I still love Lizzie & Diesel from Evanovich even more but I'll be real, objectively this is probably still her best series and I think I'll be happy to keep going even more forward from here.

Series to read.

Love the Stephanie Plum Books. Would recommend to anyone who likes mystery and humor. Become a Morelli or Ranger fan.

Pages 509-796: Three to get Deadly. As with the other two, a fun 4 stars. Not “ great literature “ but not boring. Points for that, skippy!

Oldy but a goody

I read this book many mommies ago, I enjoyed it as much as the first time I read it. What a hoot with the characters to their antics.

This entire series (around 30 books now?) is full of humor and wit. Very easy reads and easy to follow, the kind of books you can read even when you’re not able to focus for too long. Originally would give them 4 stars, but as the series progresses, the writing and stories become repetitive. You read the same book 30 times in a row.

I read the first book... & read 1/2 of the second book... & then realized that I was completely dragggggiinngg myself through it... I had NO excitement to "find out what happeneds next" etc..
YEA, I laughed a couple times... *yawn*, but really I could see myself setting in for a LONNNNGGGGG series of DUMB "who done it & why" crap... with a few laughes thrown in... that I wasn't willing to read.
ANYWHO's.... enjoy if you want... not my cup of tea!

Three books in one. First book: Descriptions of the ethnic parts of Trenton are priceless. I had started at book 15, so went back to pick up this first book of the series where Stephanie gets her start in bounty hunting and has to track down her old boyfriend, the cop Morelli.

Third book: A beloved candy story owner from the burg is Stephanie's main case and everyone hates her for pursuing him. Yet she finds that is involved in some vigilante justice against drug dealers with his pals and 8 bodies turn up buried in his cellar.

My husband has been recommending this series to me for a couple of years now. We saw the movie, but it wasn't nearly as entertaining as the first story that it was based on. I like the character of Stephanie, but the ones who steal the show are her grandmother and Lula. Ms. Evanovich has a knack for creating well rounded, entertaining characters, and the fast pace of the books are good as well. The action sequences were pretty believable, and I really like the sense of humor she adds to the stories. I'll be checking out more of Stephanie Plum's bounty hunting stories later, and I highly recommend them if you like your heroines with loads of sass and spunk.

Evanovich has created some brilliant characters in the Stephanie Plum series. If you want to laugh out loud, these are the books for you.

stephanie Plum is the greatest real crazy creative character on the planet. The author has either a great imagination or a great family to reflect upon. I have read all of the series and they are all hilarious. The character is a woman bounty hunter in New Jersey who has everything that can happen to a person happen and the family is always involved in the story. She has more downs than ups and makes a great read.
