Plum Lovin'

Mysterious men have a way of showing up in Stephanie Plum's apartment. When the shadowy Diesel appears, he has a task for Stephanie--and he's not taking no for an answer. Annie Hart is a "relationship expert" who is wanted for armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon. Stephanie needs to find her, fast. Diesel knows where she is. So they make a deal: He'll help her get Annie if Stephanie plays matchmaker to several of Annie's most difficult clients. But someone wants to find Annie even more than Diesel and Stephanie. Someone with a nasty temper. And someone with "unmentionable" skills. Does Diesel know more than he's saying about Annie Hart? Does Diesel have secrets he's keeping from Stephanie and the two men in her life--Ranger and Morelli? With Stephanie Plum in over her head, things are sure to get a little dicey and a little explosive, Jersey style!

2.5 stars.

Look, the Between-the-Numbers books are vaguely fun. But they're also totally weird in that it takes a well established crime/chick lit series and reinvents it as tangentially paranormal. It also basically turns the existing love triangle into a love square with the addition of Diesel to Steph's List of Guys Who Randomly Appear In Her Apartment, and NO THANK YOU PLEASE.

This one made MARGINALLY more sense than Visions of Sugar Plums, in that it's basically Steph being roped into helping a bunch of people have a good Valentine's Day. It was fine. But it was also nothing special or particularly memorable. So. There's that.

I love this series and this fun Valentine’s Day novella didn’t disappoint. This book gave me an inside peek at her relationship with Diesel. The banter between them is hilarious as are Bob’s (the dog) antics.

The real mystery in these books is why Stephanie Plum does not hang over her belt. Second mystery is how exiciting a man can be. These books have it all animals, food, danger and sexual innuendo.

2.5 stars- I love this series but the in-between books are just so so. Still, any mention of Ranger in these books sells me lol.

I picked this up at my medical centre in the second hand section of books and thought it sounded intriguing. Stephanie Plum I found is a typical Jersey girl from an Italian family a divorcee dithering between two men and another on the periphery and I’m these typical chick lits she confuses herself between them all. Most of us can barely get the attention of one man never mind 3! These books are entertaining only in the lack of common sense in the main character. I’m hoping in later books either the men take the decision out of her hands and all but one drops off or she just gets a clue. I enjoyed the secondary characters they flesh it out
