This was a wonderful, loving tribute to Jim Henson. It is a collection of his quotes, and quotes about him by others. It is very nicely put together. I suppose if you were not a fan of The Muppets and Jim Henson, you probably would not like this book. But for those who loved him, and his work, they will enjoy this lovely book.

I grew up on The Muppets and all their variations. I also went to University of Maryland, where Jim Henson went. This is a fantastic collection of quotes from cast and crew (muppets included!.)

This is one of those books which will either bore you to tears, or make you want to cry. For me, it was the latter. Jim Henson really was one of those rare geniuses that just seems to understand life and people better than anyone else. The book is a collection of quotes by Henson, those that knew him, and quotes from Muppets and Sesame Street characters. They all deal with his philosophy on the meaning of life, happiness, and getting along with each other. I've always been a big fan of his, so this was a great and interesting read for me. We are a poorer world without him.

This was like finding an old letter a good friend sent you. Inspiring, uplifting, insightful to a creative genius and happy in your heart. The book breaks down the characters and gives some wonderful insight into Jim Henson.

I love Jim Henson; his life, his philosophies, and his work ethic all speak very directly to me. If I could travel through time, I would go Washington, D.C. in 1956 in order to work with him. This book full of quotes is one of my most treasured - I probably read it more often than I do the Bible. But I don't mind this at all since it is one of my beliefs that the lives we live speak more to others of God and His work on this Earth than words bound in leather.

Cute, easy to read, and sometimes repetitive this collection of anecdotes about Jim Henson is more like 3.5 out of 5 stars. I would have liked more quotes from Henson's characters like Kermit and a wider variety of quotes from Henson himself. Overall, it's a nice little book that should prove as a simple book for anyone to read.

I keep a copy by my bed. It is "The book of Jim," as a good friend once said, and he knew our home needed a copy. I will always be searching for the lovers and dreamers, and muppet-like philosophers. It reminds me to take dreams seriously, and to not take myself so seriously so I can enjoy that ride!

"I think this is an ok non fiction book. It does not tell you much about Jim's childhood. It tells you more about him. It talks a lot about his quotes, that part got really boring. A lot of the quotes said different words but the same topics. Some of the paragraphs stated the same things. Yes I get it that he was a great friend of yours and that he tells you to reach for the stars, but that doesn't mean you need to say that on every other page. This one person was talking about him like he is a god and we are all his siblings and we need to worship him, I really think that guy is crazy. Jim had some good moments in life that are to be remembered for a very long time.

This book includes quotes and thoughts from Jim and others. Others that are included in the book are several Muppets, people who worked with Jim, and celebrities that appeared with the Muppets. Personally, I loved The Muppet Show, so I loved this book. I'm guessing that anyone that loved any of Henson's shows or movies will love this book as well. To paraphrase a quote of Jim's, we are all better off for him having been here. If you're curious, the quote is from page 103 of the first edition hardback.
