Oh,I so wish Jim Henson had lived much longer. What a wonderful human being!! This is a sweet little book and a must for any big Muppet fan (which I am) or just about anybody else. If the world only could live by Jim's philosophies.... And his humour is sensational as well!!! Long live Kermit and friends!!!

i really love this book. Lots of heartwarming quotes na dlyrics. Lots of stories baout what a great man he was.

One of my favorite quotes from this book:
" I cannot say why I am good at what I do, but I can say I work very hard at it...Perhaps one thing that has helped me in achieving my goals is that I sincerely believe in what I do, and get great pleasure from it. I feel very fortunate because I can do what I love to do".

THIS is why Jim Henson was a great man. He BELIEVED in what he did. He LOVED what he did. And it showed through everything he did.

This book has great quips, quotes and anecdotes that inspire and uplift.

Loved this short and sweet book and all the little doodles.

Jim Henson defined my childhood. When I was really little, we basically had only PBS for me to watch and I learned pretty much everything I needed to know from Sesame Street. And those characters are still paving the way to the future for children today. Although hardly a biography of Jim Henson’s life, through these small snippets of his thoughts and the thoughts of those who knew him best, he begins to transform into the real man behind The Muppets. He clearly knew exactly what he wanted: To make the world a better place through the use of adorable furry friends. And in that he succeeded. Horribly disappointing. I love Jim Henson, I could never be disappointed by anything by him or about him, but here I am, disappointed. All the quotes were about the exact same things - nothing interesting, nothing to think about. Although I did appreciate thoughts by Dr. Teeth.

This was delightful. Sweet quotes and song lyrics from Jim Henson and associates who worked with him as well as his children. The adorable little sketches throughout were cute as well. Positive and uplifting.

An absolutely enchanting and inspiring book of quotes from and about Jim Henson and his approach to creating and to life itself. I think this quote from the book, from Jocelyn Stevenson, sums up how I feel about the value of this work:

"Inspired by his gentleness, we'll fill the world with gentleness. Inspired by his vision, we'll fill the world with vision. Inspired by his chicken imitation, we'll fill the world with laughter."

So far I love this book, it is so funny and has a lot (!) of humor. In this book Kermit the Frog tells his life story and gives you tips along the way. I really would suggest getting it. My sister ( rachael chambers ) told me to read it in his accent(in your head) , which is quite funny. Sometimes I get so lost in the book that I just get stuck with his voice.

This is an interesting book for die hard fans of Jim Henson.

It is a colleciton of letters, transcripts, observations, etc by the great man himself. Although there is some very heartfelt messages to be found between the pages, it really is the sketches and pictures that really sell this book and make it stand out.

You will not learn anything new when reading this but you do somewhat delve into the man behind the muppets and a little bit of the magic he was able to create.

There is no depth about the history or any kind of biographic details really that you can not find anything else. This is for the collector and you kind of dip in and out of it and digest the self help qualities and give a collective Ahhhhhh every now and then. It did make me miss the man who created them but didn't really satisfy the appetite. It is like going to a tapas bar, a meal full of appetisers, although very good, somewhat lacking in satisfaction.

Reminded me of the Peanuts classic - Love Is A Warm Blanket book.
