I have a lot of great memories from the swamp. I remember when I ws little, we'd all just site out on our lily pads for hours and hours, rocking gently on the water and listening to the soft, sweet sound of chirping crickets...The, of course, we'd eat the crickets...but that's another story.---Kermit.

Here you go, all you naysayers of Amazon. I posted this yesterday and went on the Big AAAA...for Amazon, this am to check on reviews of another book. And recommended to me on my Amazon page are a bunch of Jim Henson books. Ah, how thoughtful of Amazon.

As we know, Amazon took my five stars here on Goodreads and turned it into recommendations for other Jim Henson books. How thoughtful. This is the first and probably ever Jim Henson I'll ever read picking it up at Friends of Library book sale for $2.

This just makes me mad. But I'm sure no surprise to my friend, Will Byrnes.

This book made me smile from ear to ear. I was overwhelmed with happiness once I finished it and felt a strong need to want to go out and spread positivity into the world.
Jim Henson was such an amazing and talented person and you could really tell that he enjoyed the work he did. I mean, how could you not notice it when it was shining through every one of his characters?
I hope that I can turn to this book to inspire me when I'm losing my spark of motivation, and that I can also one day teach my children how to have an imagination full of creativity, wonder, and adventure.
I'd give this book 10 stars if I could. :)

This is one of those books that's put in the gift rack; it's meant to be something cutesie you give to others. However, although it is merely quotes from and about the man (Jim Henson), his family, and his characters, the quotes are quite memorable. Obviously very easy to read, but I am still thinking on some of his quotes. This paints him as a simple appreciator of life who strove to impact those around him in a positive way.
