I love all the regular Stephanie Plum novels but I'm not sure I like these between the numbers novellas. I was very disappointed by this one. Nothing much happened in it and it was extremely dull and boring. It wasn't anywhere near as funny as the regular novels do be and I really hate the supernatural element in these novellas. Janet Evanovich you can do better than this! To fans of the series, just jump to the next number in the series – don't bother with this one!

3 out of 5 stars to Plum Lovin', an "in-between" novella in the "Stephanie Plum" cozy mystery series, written in 2007 by Janet Evanovich. There are 4 of these "in-between" cross-over novels, where Stephanie works with Diesel (from another one of Evanovich's book series) to solve a case and/or fall in love -- you can't always tell for certain! In this one, the focus is around love and Valentine's Day, as a matchmaker has gone missing after supposedly committing some crimes. Stephanie avoids falling for Diesel, ignoring Ranger and Morelli, and searches for some answers. It's a cute mini-book that crosses the two series and hopefully brings new fans and/or a needed respite from the formula in either series. It's fun and cute, little substance, but will make you laugh enough that it's worth the read.

I still love the Stephanie Plum series. I just cannot get enough of it!

The most fun. I almost gave this five stars.

I love the 'burg', where everybody either knows everybody or has heard of them.

I like that Stephanie gets a break from Ranger and Morelli and my only complaint is that Dishy Diesel seems to engage in the same kinds of word play and innuendo that I love so much with those other two. I wish he were a little more original, somehow.

It's February and Stephanie and Diesel are tasked with playing cupid to a handful of local characters. I like Diesel and his friends and the low-dose of supernatural fun that they bring. Easy reading.

3.5. I love Diesel and wouldn’t mind seeing more of him. I wish this had a little more depth because it had a ton of potential.

I am actually upping my rating on second read! This was sweet, it was adorable, absurd and hilarious, and once again Stephanie and the gang made my day!

Firstly, I am not shaming Stephanie here. Get yours, Girl! But she's having enough trouble choosing between the two as it is. Let's not complicate. Luckily, she isn't Diesel's type.
Secondly, ya just know Lula is gonna wanna jump on him and I don't blame her.

Things I Like About Diesel:
➢︎ He's good with kids. Mostly.
➢︎ What's up with the toad thing? I just know this guy has stories.
➢︎ He isn't 100% about sleeping with Stephanie. Probably only like 52%. lol
➢︎ He's vaguely magical.



Other Good Points:
★︎ Stephanie is doing something besides bounty hunting. I mean, match making may not be her 'job' here, but it's pretty amusing.
★︎ The mystery of these 'Unmentionables'
★︎ These interweaving love lives around Valentine's Day.
★︎ The idea of Grandma getting botox. haha

However I missed Morelli and Ranger. They peeked in but not enough.

Stephanie's mom needs her own book.
Bob is an adorable dog and more people need to recognize that.
That even Diesel says her parents are running a psych ward.

Another laugh out loud book by Janet Evanovich.

When Diesel appears at Stephanie's apartment, he has a task for Stephanie; one that he refuses to take no for an answer to.

Stephanie has been busy trying to locate Annie Hart who is wanted for armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon and Stephanie needs to find her, fast.

Diesel knows where she is, after all, he is the one that has her hidden. In order for Stephanie to learn Annie's location she must make a deal with Diesel, he'll help her get Annie after Stephanie plays matchmaker to five of Annie's most difficult clients. The catch is, she only has a few days to make the matches occur!

Well, there is another catch, another unmentionable with a nasty temper also wants Annie. In order to keep Annie safe, Stephanie will have to work fast, Jersey style!

Fun having another story with Diesel in it, definitely makes me want to pick up his series and start it as well.
This was very classic Stephanie with all the gang which was a lot of fun and always good for a laugh or ten.

As with all the novellas in this series, this one was very silly and light and quite entertaining. I love when Diesel is part of the story, and he was as sexy and funny as always. This time Stephanie is trying to pick up Annie, the alleged thief of a necklace from a pawn shop. But Diesel has Annie protected until he can capture the person who's out to get her. So Stephanie is left to handle Annie's job of Cupid, just before Valentine's Day. She has to find true love for one woman, teach some sexy moves to another, and help a shy man ask out the woman of his dreams, among other things. As usual, Stephanie does everything wrong, but it all ends up working out in the end. Fun moments with Lula and Bob the dog. Very entertaining.

Stephanie needs to hurry up and decide on what man she wants. A man with dimples would be so dreamy.
