Another good installment in the Between The Numbers series. I'm getting used to Diesel, but I'm imaging him with a mullet for some reason

Another Plum book read and perfect for the holidays. But I would love more back story on Diesel! ❤️

What the heck was this?! Stephanie Plum- matchmaker??

A random guy, Diesel, shows up and forces Stephanie to play matchmaker in order to release one of her failure to shows. I guess Diesel just shows up for the between the Plum novels and of course he has the hots for Stephanie (she also has Joe and Ranger to figure out).

The whole thing is just unbelievable and I didn't enjoy it as much as the normal series.

Despite being much shorter than the full-length novels, the Between-the-Numbers stories have just as many laughs (maybe even more) than the full-length books.

In Plum Lovin', Diesel once again appears in Stephanie's kitchen with a strange request: she must play matchmaker. Vinnie is on her case about bringing in a high-bond FTA and it just so happens that the FTA is connected to Diesel and his odd task. She has limited time for both jobs -- all of the people on the matchmaking list must be "matched" by Valentine's Day and that's merely a few days away.

The Between-the-Numbers novels, while being loads of fun, suffer from continuity problems. In this story, Stephanie is back to driving her yellow Escape. Problem is, the Escape met with some misfortune in the 11th book, and she subsequently bought a Mini Cooper in the 12th book. She also talks about her apprehension in the sex store, Pleasure Treasure, which happened in book 12 when she acquired the "Herbert Horsecock model", so the sequence of events is a little off if she's driving the Escape vs the Mini. Normally I get overly irritated when continuity is out of whack, but you know what? I don't care when it comes to Stephanie Plum. Seriously. Because an impromptu porn party with Lula, Grandma Mazur, an almost-40 year old virgin, and Stephanie more than make up for that :D

This was a quick read...cover to cover took only about 2 1/2 hours. There wasn't much to it...not a lot of suspense or intrigue or really much interesting. I've been looking forward to reading this author for a long time, not only because she lives in NH but because everyone seems to be reading her stuff. I hope the rest of her books are more interesting than this one! I guess this would be a good beach/pool read...you know, when you're a little bit too distracted to pay attention to elaborate plots & you don't really care if you get sand in the pages.

A cute, 3.5-hour book about Stephanie Plum trying to get couples together. With the help of Diesel, they try to make people fall in love and get Stephanie's sister married. It was a fun ride, very top-level, not too deep. She is a fun character to follow.

The Between-The-Numbers books are short, light and easily read. All of the humor is here, but not all of the characters.

Probably difficult to incorporate the full cast but that’s one of the things that make the other books so readable. No Morelli or Ranger here, but plenty of Diesel, a character brought back from a previous novel. I’ll never get tired hearing about Stephanie’s crazy family.

I am not a fan of these Between-the-Numbers books, but this one was slightly more palatable than the last. I don’t understand why we needed some paranormal element inserted into this realistic series. Since this one didn’t rely so heavily on these paranormal/fictional/fairy tale characters, it was slightly easier to get through but still not worth the time.

a fun book, but clearly not a memorable one, since it wasn't until near the end that I realized I'd already read this one six years ago
