This year, we've said goodbye to so many beloved authors
.Paul Auster was one of them. . He was great American novelist. Rest in peace . I remember I had the opportunity to watch french program called la grande librairie .Paul auster was invited to the platform in January 2018. I like the way he talked about his books in french. He said he had to teach himself how to write each book and he feel a kind of music every time he wrote a book . I choose to read this week the Newyork trilogy . I enjoy reading it at the moment . I just finished reading ghosts : the second story of the new york trilogy . I enjoyed it very much.

Se puede percibir evidentemente que esta novela avanza en dos direcciones de forma simultánea; por un lado, el la forma, observamos cómo esta obra intenta romper a nivel estructural los componentes clásicos de una obra de detectives y, a su vez, cómo estas mismas estructuras pueden condicionar nuestras apreciaciones en el arte y la literatura; por el otro, en relación al contenido, podemos apreciar cómo esta obra nos lleva a reflexiones en relación a nuestra condición de humanos y, también, como la alteración de ciertos factores de estos componentes esenciales nos puede llevar a modificar nuestra identidad (la cual, de forma muy clara, es vista en esta novela como un elemento muy dócil y moldeable).
El primer punto es fácil de identificar. Acá no hay ni acción, ni persecuciones, ni perseguido y, probablemente, defective (al menos realizando aus acciones estereotípicas). Porque no se puede pasar por alto, por ejemplo, aquellas salidas nocturnas u aquellas cesiones de deberes del detective presentes en la historia. Porque acá no nos encontramos con la historia de un detective (que es como aparentemente se intenta plantear la historia), sino que con la historia de un ser humano.
Y es el punto anterior lo que me lleva al análisis relativo al contenido mismo de la obra. La ruptura de los elementos tradicionales de la obra de detectives no solamente nos afecta a nosotros como lectores, sino que también a los mismos personajes de la obra. La incongruencia entre lo que espera el personaje principal y lo que realmente recibe, le produce a éste un quiebre emocional del cual nunca se recupera; nunca vigila a un tal Negro, sino que siempre se observa a sí mismo y lo que observa le es tan poco familiar, que siquiera es capaz de reconocerse a sí mismo.
El hecho de observar la nada misma, Negro, lleva al protagonista a un viaje introspectivo que culminará con la muerte (¿muere?) de Negro. Claramente esta muerte es simbólica y representa el cambio de posición frente a la vida se una persona luego de conocerse a sí misma. Sin embargo, ¿somos capaces de conocernos a nosotros mismos?, si esto es así ¿hasta que punto nos podemos conocer?, ¿muere entonces realmente Negro?. Esas son unas de las interrogantes que deja abierta esta corta, pero interesantísima novela.

Me gustó más que la primera parte. El juego especular entre todos los elementos del mundo es notable. Es muy inteligente Auster y amo las reflexiones literarias que hace. En el 1er libro fue con el Quijote y ahora con Walden.

Ghosts are transparent monsters that are supposed to be dead people. Examples of ghosts are casper and stuff. The title here I think is a metaphor for life or art or something i dunno but I liked it. This was the first book in the NYC trilogy I read. I skipped to Ghosts because I heard that City of Glass is the best one of the trilogy and wanted to save that one for last. I had fun with this one. These books are Mr. Auster's postmodern take on a detective novel. A sort of Anti-Noir. It reads less like a chandler book and more like a folktale that detectives tell each other. Like gumshoes were an ancient tribe that passed down this story through generations. I don't really know what to make of it. There's definitely some kind of playing with themes of city life, isolation, art and whatnot. I don't really think I was as deeply connected to them as, say, another weird old book like V.. Still this is a fun time and I highly recommend it.

دومین جلد از سه گانه ی نیویورک
یه اثر پست مدرن و بسیااار خاص و متفاوت از پل استر. کتابی که ظاهر کاراگاهی داره ولی درون مایه ی کاملا متفاوتی داره. یک کاراگاه خصوصی برای زیر نظر داشتن یه شخص و حل یه معما استخدام میشه، معمایی که هرگز حل نمیشه. اما همه چیز شکل متفاوتی به خودش میگیره، تا حدی درون طرف مقابل غرق میشه که اون شخص رو در درون خودش حس میکنه و حتی گاهی شک میکنه آیا کسی که اون رو زیر نظر گرفته واقعا وجود خارجی داره یا نه.. 

فرم و شکل داستان انقدر خاصه که نمیدونم چطوری باید توصیفش کنم. بسیار کتاب جذاب و متفاوتیه. با وجود اینکه پایان کتاب بازه، نه تنها جذابیت کتاب رو کم نمیکنه بلکه بیشتر هم میکنه. از طرف دیگه نحوه ی نام گذاری توی کتاب خیلی جالبه. شخصیت های کتاب با اسم رنگ ها شناخته میشن. در کل اثار پل استر فضای کاملا متفاوتی دارن.

Auster brings the meta with the second book in his New York Trilogy. The writer spys on the writer, the reader spys on the writer spying on the writer, who is also the reader because through the course of spying on the writer the writer reads his own story.

Ghosts at times can feel a bit like what would happen if a brilliant writer was given a high school creative writing assignment ("Create a piece of fiction using as many color names as you can" or "Write a story where you put yourself into the story"), but its more than just creative writing, its existential philosophy.

An uncanny valley of Gaddis IMHO. 'Ghosts', the second book in Auster's 'New York Trilogy' reminds me what I both like and don't like about MFA writers. Often clever and grammatically precise but they don't say so much. If they were painters their perspective would be perfect and their posters would sell, but the pigment or texture or something between the edges is just missing that undercurrent of something to give a real shit about.

Le pongo 3 estrellas por no parecer demasiado ignorante pero de buena gana le daba 2. Debe ser una obra de arte pero yo no he entendido nada y, además, a partir de la mitad del libro, he sentido que me estaban tomando el pelo.

خیلی دلم میخواست چند تا رفیق داشتم کتابای استر رو میخوندیم و بعد درباره برداشت هامون باهم صحبت میکردیم
فضای کتاب، اسامی، نحوه بیان، موضوعات مطرح شده و... همه برام خیلی جالب و بعضا جدیده درباره این کتاب
نمیدونم چطور توصیف کنم که چقدر لذت بردم ازین کتاب و کتاب اول از این سه گانه
خوشحالم که با این نویسنده آشنا شدم.
