بورخس خواندن به حد كافي دشوار هست و نوشتنش به مراتب دشوارتر .
من بورخس رو دوست دارم از اين جهت كه اتاق كوچيكي رو خلق ميكنه براي گم شدن،اتاقي كه ديوارهايي داره پر از نقاشي،عكس هاي يادگاري و نقشه ي شهرهايي كه نميدونم كجا هستند.
اتاقي كه حتي مطمئن نيستم وجود داره يا جوري طراحي شده كه كه منِ خواننده رو قانع كنه كه وجود داره !
بورخس رو دوست دارم از اين جهت كه كلي حرف، مفهوم و معما رو به فشرده ترين شكل ممكن تبديل ميكنه به يك مكعب اندازه ي حبه ي قند ولي به سنگيني و محكمي آهن.
و در نهايت بورخس رو دوست دارم چونكه كلي داستان داره براي تعريف كردن،ولي با گويش خاص خودش كه لزوماً نيازي نيست اين گويش رو بلد باشم براي فهميدنش.

El Aleph es una colección de cuentos (de ficción, la mayor parte) recopilada, si no me falla, por el mismo Borges, donde se exploran diversos temas que pasan por la inmortalidad y su opuesto, la divinidad, el significado de dios y todo esto lo conjunta con la metafísica, teología, filosofía y estoy seguro que hasta algo de metaliteratura hay por allí.

Y hay varios cuentos en la colección que me dejaron muy buena impresión, El Inmortal paso a ser uno que recomendaría sin dudas, El Aleph es probablemente el más fantástico de todos hasta con un ligero toque Ray Bradburidiano, Emma Zunz el más sencillo de entender pero aún así sorprendente, Albejacán el borají que discute la diferencia entre la realidad y lo que se cuenta (la ficción), realmente creo que hay increíble cantidad de ideas muy buenas en los 18 cuentos de la colección pero se requiere de cierto proceso para llegar a ellas.

Y esto es por la escritura de Borges que es una "harsh mistress", uno tiene que estar tremendamente concentrado en lo que se lee para que los párrafos no te tachen de tonto, recuerdo tener que empezar un cuento desde cero por el simple hecho de no estar poniendo suficiente atención a la lectura, es inútil usar este libro para pasar el rato lo cual estoy seguro que muchas personas hacen, y eso me explica el por qué de personas que lo califican de inentendible o sus reseñas son negativas, Borges en lugar de decirte, el universo abarca muchas dimensiones, le gusta tomar la ruta escénica y en algunos casos decirte lo que las flores significan para él, todo en el mismo viaje, sin mencionar que le encanta hacer referencias que van desde el Corán hasta Shakespeare pasando por Poe y gusta de los nombres árabes y alemanes.

Es imposible dar una calificación a toda la obra completa siendo que los cuentos tienen poca relevancia entre sí y no pienso discutir los detalles de cada uno, tengo otras cosas que hacer y leer, pero creo que la calificación es más que justa, de verdad pienso que es una buena recopilación aunque estoy seguro que no todos los cuentos dejan un buen sabor de boca o incluso un significado concreto, al final existe un epílogo de lo que Borges quiso expresar con algunos cuentos pero les recomendaría que ustedes buscaran el suyo.

My first encounter with Borges. So far, it is difficult to describe my impressions and emotions, but all I can say is that I did not want the book to end. I read it very slowly and each story stayed with me for some time and caused a lot of thinking... I loved every minute of the experience.

'(..)Thus, all inadvertence is deliberate, every casual encounter is an engagement made beforehand, every humiliation is an act of penitence, every failure a mysterious victory, every death a suicide. There is no more cunning consolation than the thought that we have chosen our own misfortunes; that individual theology reveals a secret order, and in a marvelous way confuses ourselves with the deity. Reading Borges is such an exhausting experience—the dry, pseudo-scholarly tone, the literary and historical allusions, the constant flipping back and forth between the text and the endnotes. A story of a couple of pages takes on the density of an entire novella. In Ficciones, his most celebrated collection, this is far outweighed by the highly complex, abstract stories that read as though they were dreamed by a distant god. It’s for these glimpses into the infinite that I read Borges, not for the lowbrow stories of gauchos and knife fights, made unnecessarily complicated yet devoid of his usual insight, with only a mention here and there of a labyrinth, that dominate this collection by far. I usually include a quote or two (usually several) that I consider profound in my reviews—even for books I dislike—but I couldn’t for this one. So while Ficciones catered well to my tastes, this collection didn’t, and it’s no longer worth the effort of unraveling the web of Borges’s ideas. I’m leaving this unfinished—I’m reclaiming my time!

Si bien la prosa es impecable, esta colección de cuentos me pareció algo aburrida y, por momentos, tediosa. Lejos de atraparme como El libro de arena y El informe de Brodie. No lo recomendaría para una primera lectura de Borges.

Pocas veces existe consenso en este mundo, por lo que nos podemos fiar: Borges es, necesariamente, un narrador magistral. Su manera de describir las extrañas situaciones y los objetos curiosos con los que topan sus personajes es, a la postre, de lo más inquietante y absorbente que he leído.
Se me antoja además que la base del terror borgiano está, no en lo desconocido, sino en el saber, en el momento en el que despertamos al significado de lo que nos rodea.

Un universo que contiene universos. Creo que el propósito de Borges era materializar su último Aleph en toda la serie de cuentos. Un repaso histórico, bíblico y fantástico de la Historia del antes y el ahora, a través de esperanzadoras llanuras, cruzando desiertos inabarcables y sufriendo las balas de los forajidos más despiadados, cruzadas con la erudición de los teólogos y de los escritores rematadamente fracasados. Entre laberintos que no cumplen del todo su final y crecimientos de mujer a golpes con la realidad, se distraen naciones sin destino y muertos que terminaron dos veces.

La miríada de dinamismos crudos se sucede entre un estilo sencillo y un aderezo contundente de datos históricos y místicos que no impide seguir el hilo de las profundas reflexiones que impulsa Borges. Una lectura obligada, junto a Ficciones, del verdadero hombre que vivió por y para la literatura.

Se recomiendan los relatos:
"La casa de Asterión": un hogar, laberinto de multiplicidades.
"Emma Zunz": una trabajadora de la fábrica de tejidos afronta un crecimiento no consentido para cobrar una venganza.
"El Aleph": el primo hermano de la fallecida Beatriz Viturbo es un poeta atormentado de universos que se esconden en una casa de próxima demolición.

Borges okumak, dünya tarihine şöyle bi baştan aşağıya göz gezdirmek ve gibi; ve bir yandan anlık bakışla neler olup bittiğini tüm berraklığıyla kavrarken diğer yandan tam olarak anlamak denen şeyin anlamsızlığının içinde eriyip gidiyormuşsun gibi gibi; Borges deli biri, çok akıllı biri :)
