I didn't have the slightest intention of reading this book.
Actually I didn't read it, I listened to it.

These are the premises of changing my mind:

* Having to drive two hours every day, I'd rather spend this time constructively.
* So I listen to audiobooks, but only non fiction.
* I have a library card which I attached to the Libby app, and the offer is amazing.
* Dealing with a lot of worrying and paranoia, things that have very small chances of happening, when I saw this title, I told myself that it couldn't hurt at least to try it.

And work it did.

Each chapter has at the end a short and concise list of things to do when one worries, a summary of what was the subject. And this is why I intend to buy the book so that I can underline every thing that applies to my ideas, principles, and way of living.

What I like about this book is that the author is not imposing his own ideas, he actually says that people who read/listen to this book won't learn anything new, but what has already been said by philosophers, doctors, scientists. It's just a reminder for whomever needs one. I apparently did.
He gives examples to better understand the conclusions and I honestly say that ever since I finished it (last week) I try to apply some of the things I heard and there is a change. Not a big one, but like all changes, it takes time to get used to it.

Some books are evergreen whenever you turn their pages you will find something new. This book is time tested and paved the way for millions of people to live their life happily.
I love reading Dale Carnegie due to his writing styles. He makes everything quiet and clear. His language is pretty easy and elaboration is lucid and detailed.
The book 'How to stop worrying and start living' is a masterpiece by him. He has shown some practical steps in the way of becoming a person free from fear and non-sense worries. It totally depends on us whether we want to live happily or we want to become sad. Of course, there is a certain step in the process of achieving a worry-free life. But the basics reamins the same all the time. And the author has only reflected those basics in a clear manner.

Religious bigotry and preaching disguised as psychology, with some useful information mixed in. Full review to come.

This "holy" book contains tremendously effective, practical and scientific-based solutions to overcome stress and a state of being worry for different scenarios that might happen for a person. A marvelous, must-read book for everyone.
This book is among the very most valuable gifts you could give to a friend or family member.

Well...what can be more difficult than communication?
I remember, I was reading Dale Carnegie when I started to work in a hospital as a dentist. I was working in military hospital. It was my first time I met the people who work for the government. They have different mentality and they are much more difficult in communication. I was suffering from miscommunication and misunderstanding. I was searching for answers how to make my work life happier and more productive. That time my father advised me the book of Dale Carnegie. Every day 30 minutes before work and 30 minutes afterwards I was listening audio book of Carnegie and I was making some notes. I started to smile mote even I did not want to. I stared to practice some advises from the book. It worked so well that I did not stop on one book...Well...what can be more difficult than communication?! I guess nothing ! If anybody knows, please let me know!
The problem is WHAT you think about the situation. Just change the direction of your thoughts. Look from different corners! Try to be open-minded ! And try to get out of your egoism as much as possible!

And never enough reading !

I read this in the late eighties together with the other Dale Carnegie book – How to Win Friends and Influence People. Among the basic techniques to avoid worrying is what everyone knows already – live each day until bedtime. My other favorites are the problem analysis technique (define the problem, its causes, possible solutions and choosing the best solution) and the always dependable – pray. The latter can be used to fill out thoughts with peace, courage, health and hope. It is the best weapon to worry: raise your problems to God and He will direct you to the right path.

Kokia gera knyga!
Ok, pradėkime nuo to, kad man patinka saviugdos knygos, žinoma ne visos kurias skaičiau buvo naudingos, bet šita patenka į mano top.
Kuom gi ji gera? Keli dalykai kuriuos išskirčiau:
- Nuoseklumas.

Aš nerimo žmogus, tad man šita knyga buvo labai naudinga.

Pasakysiu, jog patiko plius minus 2/5 knygos.
