One of my favorite cookbooks. I love ATK. The recipes are very detail oriented, ingredient heavy, and labor intensive, but so delicious! Not your calorie counter cookbook.

My stepchildren (who are deathly afraid of any food that looks "different" ie didn't come from a box) will eat everything I've made from this cookbook. The orange chicken & green beans is great (but too much soy sauce & chili paste for me). We have it every Thursday night! DH makes the peanut butter cookies on a regular basis, and they rarely last more than a day.

I borrowed this from the library to see if it was worth splurging on in the future. It is certainly getting added to my wish list. Lots of classic American home fare tested beyond reason. I especially liked the areas where they discuss variations on a basic recipe (various dips, pizza toppings, sandwich combinations, etc.). Sometimes I just need that little extra inspiration to get dinners planned for the week, I think this cookbook would help.

This is the perfect cookbook for beginning and aspiring cooks. Every recipe has been tested to ensure the final dish is perfect. My go to cookbook for staple recipes.

I read this cookbook from cover to cover. It has great recipes, tips and equipment reviews. We have referred to it almost every day since we got it because there is always something new to learn.

For fans of the magazine/website, the only downside is that each recipe is not quite as detailed as you will find in each issue. The cookbook is already huge and I understand they can't fit every tidbit. I would find a recipe in the book, look the same one up on-line and see a great note of advice that I would be so glad I caught.

Overall, though, one of the best cookbooks a person can own.
