از نظر من بی ارزش بود ، منو یاد فیلمهای کمدی نازل ایتالیایی به خصوص چیچو و فرانکو انداخت . شاید اول باید کوری را می خواندم تا از بینایی خوشم بیاد .

هذه رواية كنت أريد أن أعطيها 5 نجمات كاملة، ولكن الجزء الثانى منها خيب ظنى .. فبعد قراءتى لأكثر من مائتى صفحة أكتشف فجأة أنها الجزء الثانى للرواية الأكثر شهرة للكاتب (جوزيه ساراماجو): العمى .. ولما كنت لم أقرأها بعد فقد اختلطت على التفاصيل لاحقاً .. بغض النظر عن هذا الجزء كان الجزء الأول هو الأكثر جمالاً وأكثر إمتاعاً .. لا أسامى للأبطال .. هناك فقط الشعب المتحدى لحكومته .. وزير الثقافة .. وزير العدل .. رئيس الوزراء .. رئيس الدولة كل هذه الشخصيات تنطبق على العديد من شخصيات حكوماتنا المتتابعة الكاذبة ..
كم وددت لو كان لدينا شعباً واعياً كشعب "البصيرة" يعرف كيف يصوت ولمن يصوت .. يحافظ على عاصمته المحاصرة وكأن حكومته لم تذهب .. تذكرت شعب مصر (الذى كان بطلاً) فى الأيام الثمانية عشر الأولى للثورة المصرية وكيف كان مثالاً أبهر العام أجمع ، ولكن بعد ذلك حدثت نكسة كبرى!! فلم نحافظ على شىء من مكاسب الثورة .. بدءاً من الانتخابات وما أفرزته وحتى (وهو ما أتوقعه) سوف يحدث فى الانتخابات الرئاسية من استمرار لمسلسل الجهل والتخلف!

أسلوب الرواية كان سلسلاً للغاية فلم تشعر أنها مترجمة .. أعتقد أنه ينبغى أن أبحث عن رواية (العمى) سريعأً لاعتقادى أنها ستكون مبهرة ..

هذه المرة قراءة النسخة الإنجليزية وبعد قراءة أخرى للعمى .. تكتمل البصيرة بالنسبة لى كعمل أدبى متكامل فى حد ذاته وان أستمتعت بالتفاصيل الصغيرة هذه المرة فى أسلوب وتعليقات ساراماجو الساخرة -قليلاً هذه المرة - والساحرة معظم الوقت

SARAMAGO, HIJO DE PUTA.

Harder to get into than Blindness. There just isn't a whole lot of action in the first hundred pages of Seeing. A lot of pontification about the electoral process and the mechanics of politics, but nothing much really happens. I feel like Saramago was a bit too in love with his satire for a bit too long in the narrative, but that's just my take. It does pick up after that, and comes to a conclusion that is probably right for the book, but one that I didn't exactly love.

HERE BE SPOILERS: Basically, Seeing took all that I loved about Blindness and shattered it like the skull of the poor inspector when the man with the blue tie shoots him in the back of the head. My favorite character, the optometrist's wife, gets treated with the same callous disregard. I know Saramago is telling us that life sucks and the government sucks and people suck, and if they don't, if they are actually decent, then the world will find a way to grind them under its boot heel, but it was disappointing. I'm not averse to sad, tragic endings; Jude The Obscure is one of my favorite books! But with Seeing, there was almost none of the beauty (even in the midst of utter misery) that Blindness contained. Seeing left me feeling hopeless and pessimistic about humanity as a whole. Maybe that's the way I should be seeing things, pardon the pun, but it didn't make for satisfying reading.

اینقدر کتاب کوری و شخصیت هاش مخصوصا شخصیت (زن چشم پزشک)برام دوست داشتنی بودند که وقتی کتاب کوری رو تموم کردم بلافاصله بینایی رو که در واقع ادامه و در رابطه با همون کتابه رو شروع کردم....که شاید بتونم بازم با شخصیت های محبوبم زندگی کنم....اما هرچقدر کتابو میخوندم بهشون نمیرسیدم تا اینکه یک سوم اخر کتاب شخصیت های کتاب کوری پیداشون شد...ساراماگو خیلی خوب بلده از برگ برندهاش کجا استفاده کنه...پایان خیلی جالبی داشت که نقطه عطف داستانه...به خاطر کتاب کوری و شخصیت دوست داشتنی زن چشم پزشک به این کتاب ۴ ستاره میدم...ناگفته نمونه که ساراماگو قلم بی نظیری داره و تو داستانهاش اصلا از اسم استفاده نکرد...و القابی مثه زن چشم پزشک.فرمانده.پسر لوچ و.... به کار میبرد....

Those looking for a sequel to Blindness will be surprised. While Seeing carries with it some of the same characters as Blindness, it is an entirely different beast of a book. Rather than the touching tale of survival that made its predecessor so acclaimed, Seeing is satire of the highest quality.

How does a government respond when 83% of voters in the capital cast blank votes? With typical heavy-handedness and increasing degrees of ridiculousness. There must be a conspiracy at work, the government thinks. That much of the population can not just spontaneously decide not to vote for the existing parties. It becomes very clear at a very early point that someone's head must be placed on a pike to placate the needs of the authorities, it then becomes a guessing game as to who will pay the price.

The scenes that take place in the Prime Minister's cabinet early in the book are some of the funniest that I've ever read. The constant bickering between the Prime Minister and the Interior Minister reminded me of Stanley Kubrick's Dr. Strangelove and, just as in the film, you know that the result of this infighting will mean nothing good for the common person.

Görmek'i de Körlük kadar sever miyim diye merak ediyordum ve açık söyleyeyim Körlük kadar etkilemedi beni. Bunun birden fazla nedeni var; fakat bunlardan önce kısaca konudan bahsedecek olursam; olaylar, körlük salgınından dört yıl sonra yapılan bir seçimle başlıyor. Bu seçimde sandıktan çıkan oyların yüzde seksene yakını boş çıkıyor. Tekrarlanan seçimler ise boş (beyaz) oyların sayısını artırmak dışında bir işe yaramıyor. İktidarı zedelenen hükûmet, başkentte sıkıyönetim ilân ederek kente giriş çıkışları yasaklayıp başkenti terk ediyor. Amaçları, halkın kaosa sürüklenmesi ve bunun sonucunda yapılacak yeni seçimde yeniden iktidara gelebilmek; fakat işler umdukları gibi gitmiyor. Halk galeyana gelmeden, barış ortamı içinde yaşamını sürdürmeye devam ediyor (ki burada Saramago'nun devlet öncesi durumdaki, yani doğa durumundaki insanın barış içinde yaşadığını göstermeye çalıştığı çok açık). İktidar, elbette oldukça şaşırıyor ve şehri karıştırmak için bir metro istasyonunda bomba patlatmaya kadar götürüyor işi; ama bu da onları amaçlarına ulaştırmaya yetmiyor. Dört yıl öncesinde yaşanan körlük salgınıyla ilgili kendilerine gelen bir mektup ise işlerin seyrini değiştiriyor.

Öncelikle bazı yerlerde bir bütünlük yokmuş gibi hissettim, hatta karakter devamlılığı yok gibiydi desem daha doğru olacak sanırım. Örneğin kitabın en başında okuduğumuz seçim bürolarında çalışanlara kitap boyunca bir daha hiç rastlamıyoruz. Bunun yanı sıra belediye başkanını da çok kısa bir süreliğine okuyoruz, oysa hikâyenin onun üzerinden anlatılacağını düşünmüştüm. İlk kitabın karakterleri de nedense biraz zorlama biçimde hikâyeye dahil edilmiş gibi hissettirdi. Evet beyaz oy ve beyaz körlük iyi bir bağlantı; ancak bu bağlantı bana doğal gelmedi ne yazık ki. Bunlara ek olarak kitabın ilk yarısının daha bol politik eleştiriye sahip olduğunu, bunun zaman zaman kitabı durağanlaştırdığını da söylemem gerek. İlk kitaptaki karakterlerin devreye girmesiyle hikâyenin hızlandığını söyleyebilirim.

Kitabı okurken günümüzle benzerlikler yakalamaktan kendimi alıkoyamadım, bazı şeyler fazlasıyla tanıdık geldi bana ve hep şunu sorup durdum kendime, Türkiye'de de bir seçim olsa ve halkın tamamına yakını kendine yakın bir parti bulamadığı için boş oy atsa ne olur? Sanırım bunu hiçbir zaman bilemeyeceğim. Neyse... Genel olarak başarılı bir kitap; fakat Körlük'le karşılaştırınca benim için biraz sönük kaldığını söylemem lazım. Bir yazarın laneti de bu olsa gerek... Öyle bir kitap yazıyorsunuz ki ister istemez diğer kitaplarınız da bununla mukayese ediliyor ve ne kadar iyi yazarsanız yazın o harika kitabınız gibi olmayınca eleştiriliyorsunuz...

Tenía un poco de miedo de escuchar este porque Ensayo sobre la ceguera me golpeó muy fuerte, quizá lo escuché en un momento complicado, pero me dejó llorando en el suelo en un momento. Sin embargo, me pareció un libro tan brillante que sabía que tenía que leer los demás de Saramago.

Durante unas elecciones municipales casi rutinarias ocurrió una anomalía; más del 80% de las personas votaron en blanco. El gobierno busca respuestas y explicaciones, pero la gente no las entrega, no como si fuera secreto, sino que algo lógico. Esto los lleva a tomar decisiones más drásticas creyendo que debe haber un grupo anarquista infiltrado en la población.

"Tu peor enemigo, según la ley de los ciegos, es siempre aquel que está más cerca de ti. Pero no necesitamos estar ciegos para no saber adónde vamos, pensó"

En la primera mitad el libro se enfocó más en narrar el actuar del gobierno, describir el cómo sabían que había algo extraño ese día de votación y luego la búsqueda desesperada por explicaciones. Fue con calma describiendo el día lluvioso y la preparación de los distintos partidos, para ir aumentando poco a poco lo que parecía solo un mal día de elecciones. Siempre con foco en el gobierno y dejándonos a las personas que votaron en blanco como un misterio.

En Ensayo sobre la ceguera el autor hacía un reflejo de la naturaleza humana, el cómo actuaríamos frente esa situación ya sin ley y el cómo algunos solo buscan su propio bien. También retrató lo contrario, el cómo algunas personas se mantienen fieles a sí mismas y a los demás y siempre velarán por el bien común. Ese libro me pareció terrible e incómodo, lo pasé francamente mal durante gran parte, además había una constante tensión por no saber qué iba a pasar a continuación.

"Lo incomprensible puede ser despreciado"

Por otro lado, este libro se sintió menos incómodo y tenso en ese aspecto. Además, como la primera mitad se centró en distintos personajes del gobierno no había mucho espacio a empatizar con los personajes o sentir su dolor. Y aquí está lo interesante, la gente está bien, la ciudad no cae en la anarquía ni en el caos, pero para el gobierno es lo peor que le pudo suceder. Ese contraste y el cómo Saramago va describiendo el actuar del gobierno y su sorpresa continua cuando la gente no actúa cómo ellos esperaban me pareció brillante.

Mientras que en el libro anterior temíamos constantemente por lo que la gente haría, acá pasó lo contrario. No temíamos por sus acciones, porque todos estaban claros y tranquilos, todos hacían lo que creían correcto y los únicos asustados eran del gobierno. Siempre me pregunté qué pasaría si todos decidiéramos votar en blanco como una forma de protesta, no creo que suceda como esta plaga de lucidez, pero me pareció una explicación bastante acertada de la reacción del gobierno.

"Es regla invariable del poder que resulta mejor cortar las cabezas antes de que comiencen a pensar"

Sabía que este libro era una especie de continuación de Ensayo sobre la ceguera, pero no fue hasta la segunda mitad que entendí la conexión con aquel libro. La segunda mitad retomó el tono más cercano de la otra, pues se centró en menos personajes, en especial el comisario encargado de buscar algún responsable al que hacerle cargar la culpa. Dejó de lado el tono más satírico del inicio para centrarse en el humano, en particular, unos humanos a los que ya conocíamos bien.

Resultó interesante el contraste de este libro que, a diferencia del anterior, fue tranquilo y seguro durante gran parte para terminar de una forma tan desesperanzadora. El final fue desgarrador, no por lo que sucedió como tal, sino que por lo que significaba. Fue un final muy latinoamericano de alguna forma, no importa cuantas pandemias de lucidez tengamos, en los momentos importantes siempre termina pesando más lo que digan unos pocos y el resto solo pagamos por ello.

"Qué pretenden conseguir, las manifestaciones nunca han servido para nada, de otra manera nunca las autorizaríamos"

Ensayo sobre la lucidez es un nuevo retrato de la sociedad humana por parte del autor, pero esta vez se enfoca en la reacción humana de un gobierno frente a una anomalía. Se enfoca en cómo en vez de hacer una autocrítica su primera reacción siempre es culpar al otro y el cómo ese pensamiento termina castigando a la personas.

حتحس بفرق كبير اوي بين الاتنين يخليك لا تتقبل البصيرة خصوصا انك حتستغرب فرق المستوى مع ان الكاتب كتب البصيرة بعد العمى
فرق واضح حتى في رسم الشخصيات وفي الحوار وفي ترتيب الاحداث

والمشكلة انك ماينفعش تقراها قبليها لانك مش حتفهم النصف الثاني من الرواية
بعكس العمى لو قريتها وتوقفت على كدة حيكون احسن بكتير

ساراماجو دون شك من اغرب واكثر الكتاب ابداعا اللي قريتلهم في حياتي
ازاي بيقدر يخلق فكرة وازاي بيقدر يطورها ويوصل فيها لاخر مدى ممكن يوصله مخك ويفرش قدامك احتمالات غير عادية
ايضا بيتكلم عن مجتمع كامل مش شريحة واحدة ومش شخصيات محددة
مميزات كثيرة غير عادية في الكاتب ده


لكن البصيرة لم استمتع بها اطلاقا كانت رواية في منتهى الملل ولما خلصتها ماحستش اني استفدت حاجة خالص

اثار الكاتب فيها اسئلة ولم يجبها
لم يفعل في العمى لكنك كنت مستمتع بالشعور مستمتع بالرحلة
لكن الرواية دي ماكنش فيها اي حاجة غير ان الواحد لازم يعرف اجابة اسئلته

حتى ولو بخصوص النهاية
انا مافهمتش النهاية حقيقي

الرواية باختصار بتتكلم عن الحكومات اللي موهمة نفسها انها بتتعامل بديموقراطية مع الشعب في حين انها قمة الديكتاتورية
ازاي تحرك جمع بدون تخطيط انهم يدلو باصوات بيضاء وماينتخبوش حد
وازاي موضوع زي ده زلزل الدولة وخلاهم يحاصروا العاصمة بالدبابات ويدوروا على اي كبش فدا يحطوه ويغتالوه عشان يحسوا انهم قضوا على ثورة


مش فاهمة ازاي السلطة بتخلي الانسان منفصل بالمعنى الحرفي للكلمة عن المجتمع اللي عايش فيها مش شايف غير مصلحته وبس وبيحاول يوهم الناس انه بيهتم بمصلحتهم وبيعمل لاجلهم....الموضوع فعلا غريب اوي

بس الرواية لحد الصفحة 230 قمة الملل – بعد كدة الاحداث حتتسارع وحترتبط بالعمى – بدون برضه هدف لحد ما توصل للنهاية الغريبة والمفاجاة واللي انا لحد دلوقتي مافهمتهاش


بس كانت تجربة مخيبة للامال

Σαν άλλο 1984, σε πιο light μορφή, το βιβλίο εξιστορεί μία φανταστικη εξέλιξη της δημοκρατίας μας που κάλλιστα θα μπορούσε να γίνει πραγματικότητα.. Θα προτιμούσα να είχε εστιασει στην αντίδραση της κοινωνίας, πάρα σε αυτήν της κυβέρνησης. Παρόλα αυτά, είναι ένα εξαιρετικό βιβλίο.
