Honestly It took me a bit longer than I thought to finished this book. My comment here won't be different from other. this book have given me lot of new ideas and opened my mind to see thing differently (each reader have to discover by themselves)
I am not a native English speaker but this book are very easy and understandable,
it took me about 1 month and half to finish as I took it very slow. the book itself are pretty heavy lol and for me I think there is another state of mind that not everyone can understand it at once, so that the reason why it took me a bit longer to finish this book :) and I wanted to truly understand in every chapter and in every sentence that Socrates were guiding Dan which is very worth to spend time to think during reading.
this book have given me so much more than I expected. and I will re-read it. I do believe in another year, time gone by when I re-read it the idea will be different.
I'm definitely recommended this book and my tips for new reader is do not force yourself to finish it. read them when your mind are free and take it step by step when thing are complicated (not the language but the idea of this book) just put it down do other stuff and go back to read it again when you are ready to experience them and your mind are free :)
There are times when the book is still better than the movies and times here and there when the movie is actually better. After reading this one, or starting to, I just felt a grander need to experience the cinematic version.
This was alright. I saw the movie, which is really good, so I wanted to read the book. Honestly, the movie was better. The book has more detail, of course, but it gets a little "new age-y" for me. There were a lot of good nuggets in here, and beneficial mindset, but there were also times when I wondered what kind of drugs he must have been on, or how all this enlightenment was worth abandoning his family. Then again, I'm sure I'm just not "enlightened" enough to understand. So it's a unique read, and I'll take what I can from it, but just go watch the movie. You'll get the good stuff without all the weird.
