Honestly It took me a bit longer than I thought to finished this book.
My comment here won't be different from other. this book have given me lot of new ideas and opened my mind to see thing differently
(each reader have to discover by themselves)

I am not a native English speaker but this book are very easy and understandable,

it took me about 1 month and half to finish as I took it very slow. the book itself are pretty heavy lol and for me I think there is another state of mind that not everyone can understand it at once, so that the reason why it took me a bit longer to finish this book :) and I wanted to truly understand in every chapter and in every sentence that Socrates were guiding Dan which is very worth to spend time to think during reading.

this book have given me so much more than I expected. and I will re-read it. I do believe in another year, time gone by when I re-read it the idea will be different.

I'm definitely recommended this book and my tips for new reader is do not force yourself to finish it. read them when your mind are free and take it step by step when thing are complicated (not the language but the idea of this book) just put it down do other stuff and go back to read it again when you are ready to experience them and your mind are free :)

There are times when the book is still better than the movies and times here and there when the movie is actually better. After reading this one, or starting to, I just felt a grander need to experience the cinematic version.

Millner really does a wonderful job at clearly showing how one can achieve the higher self.

This was alright. I saw the movie, which is really good, so I wanted to read the book. Honestly, the movie was better. The book has more detail, of course, but it gets a little "new age-y" for me. There were a lot of good nuggets in here, and beneficial mindset, but there were also times when I wondered what kind of drugs he must have been on, or how all this enlightenment was worth abandoning his family. Then again, I'm sure I'm just not "enlightened" enough to understand. So it's a unique read, and I'll take what I can from it, but just go watch the movie. You'll get the good stuff without all the weird.

To hell with the critics. Dan Millman's whole body approach works for me.

the first book that i read which gave me some insight on what energy is, how it affects us, etc.
i still advise it to everybody who is unknowing of what spirituality is but wants to know more about it.
i must say that i do not like his other books. only this one. storywise it is no great literature, but if you can read through this, there is a lot to make you think and look deeper

I liked this book. It basically had the same message as Echart Tolle's 'A New Earth' on in a novel form. Both books shared two of the same stories of wisdom. There was plenty of humor that kept me laughing out loud throughout the book. I would recommend it. I also might have given it another star if I didn't already know the importance of being Present.

If I don’t make my goal at the end of the year, remind me that this was technically 2 books

Read when I was younger and had no idea what impact it had on me. When I read this again I found that I had been telling stories from this book for years. The second time through the message really hit home.
