This is the first book I have ever read by Paulo Coelho - and certainly the last one. My rating is 2.5/5, because it had the ability not to make me yawn too much.

I don't know, how to start my reviews?

I really loved the writing. Its so close to the real feelings of Heart in the End. The Understanding of the person from the social surface to his/her inner deep feelings, every aspect is explained very nicely. From the Protagonists point of view, the society's phase has been shown quite correct.

The Man who wants to understand the woman but never ever collects the gut feeling for what he actually want to know? There's a question on the women's feeling for what they actually want men to understand but say in words. Not every man understands unsaid feelings.

I really don't understand the Title before starting the Book. But where it'll go, I only get to know by reading almost 100 pages. And, the real story starts behind the Title.

Author has observed & experienced a lot for this kind of classics. Seriously. No more words.

Eleven Minutes is a quick and easy read and definitely worth checking out. 3.5* read for me.

الابداع الروائي في احدى عشرة دقيقة لا يوصف .. إنها من أجمل ما كتب باولو كويليو , بل من أروع ما كتب من روايات
و هي من أصدق ما كتب كويلو و أرى أنها أفضل من الخيميائي بمراحل

أنوّه ان الكتاب غير مناسب للاشخاص الذين لا يملكون ذلك القدر من الادراك والوعي لتفهم محتوى الكتاب والناس الذين ينظرون بصورة خارجية بالية ، ارجو عدم التعمق واخذ الكتاب بمستوى المعلومات العامة لان هذا هو الهدف المرجو من هذه الرواية ؛ حيث انه عبارة عن جرأه وبحوثات تاريخية .
بصراحة أعجبني طرح الكاتب العديد من الافكار وفتح باب النقاش لمعالجة قضايا انتشرت بعصرنا بشكل كبير مثل السادية ، المازوشية، الحب ، الحرية والاتجار بالمرأة .

قرأتها الكترونيا على الجهاز فى المنزل و أول ما حد يعدى أغلقها
:D

أول مرة أقرأ شىء مثل هذه الجراءة و الدقة فى التفاصيل
لم أضعها فى قائمة القراءة فى وقت ما أنتهيت منها لخجلى منها

الصدمة الكبرى أن ماريا شخصية حقيقية و هذه النقطة أعطتنى دفعة كبيرة من التفكير
هذه الحياة كانت لإنسانة و ليس لخيال كاتب عجوز
!!!!!!

أعدت قرأتها مرة أخرى بجرأة تعادل جرأتها
الرواية=الحياة من وجهة نظر عاهرة
هى باعت جسدها و لم تبع روحها
حافظت على أحلامها طول الوقت باستثناء إحدى عشر دقيقة من يومها
تشبثت بأحلامها عن طريق النقود و القراءة
!!!!!

لا أنكر انى ضدها و لكنى لست ضدها
تركتنى فى حيرة
ماذا يهم الجسد ام الروح؟؟
الأحلام أم اليأس و الذل؟؟

رواية من الممكن أن تكون جريئة و فاضحة
لا تليق على المجتمع الشرقى
لكنها تحمل معانى نؤمن بها فى أعماقنا و لا نجاهر بها

فكرة جديدة حتى الآن لم أجد مثل هذه النظرة فى رواية

قصة حياة مومس، هل أزعجك العنوان ؟ هل أثارك ؟ هل دفعك للحظات للتفكير بنصفك الأسفل وقررت قراءة الروايه بحثآ عن مزيد من الشهوات والاثاره؟ هل أصدرت حكمآ مسبقآ بأنها روايه فاحشه لكاتب شهواني تقارب أعداد طبيبك الخاص من الزمن الغابر؟

طيب، الروايه بعيدآ عن ما سبق وعن المحاذير الرقابيه المتفشيه في العقول الشرقيه هي نبش جيد وواعي في جذور شخصية فتاه قررت بيع جسدها لتحقيق أحلامها ومن خلال الاحداث بيكشف الكاتب باولو كويلهو عن الطموحات والاحلام والأفكار المتصارعه داخل الشخصيه وعبر عنها بشكل أدبي جميل (مره تانيه بعيد عن المحاذير الرقابيه المتفشيه في العقول الشرقيه) لأنه قراءة موضوع زي ده لازم يتم بشكل مجرد ومن منظور فلسفي ونفسي أكتر منه شهواني بحت ..

مذكرات ماريا تحمل قدر من التأملات والأفكار لابأس بها ويمكن قياسها علي حياة كل واحد فينا "أعزكم الله " ومن خلال القراءة المتأنيه المجرده هاتقدر توصل أن كل شخص في مشوار حياته بيقدم مجموعه من التنازلات مقابل تحقيق بعض من أحلامه بعض النظر عن نوع التنازلات وقدرها وعن نسبة رضاؤه عن المكاسب المقابله.. انها في النهايه حسبه شخصيه بحته تعتمد علي موروثك الثقافي والتركيبه الداخليه لشخصيتك ولكن في النهايه تظل نفس الشيء..

تظل نفس الإحدي عشره دقيقه في حياتنا جميعآ ..

رواية جريئة .. صادمة .. للكبار فقط !
كيف لا تكون كذلك .. و هي تحكي قصة عاهرة
و تجاربها الجنسية خلال عام قضته في بار " كوباكابانا " في سويسرا

ماريا التي نشأت في قريةٍ صغيرة في البرازيل
كان الحب حلمها الأكبر
الحب ثم الزواج و تأسيس بيت و انجاب أطفال
لكنها خُذلت .. خُذلت مرة و اثنتين و ثلاث ..
نحى اليأس حلم الحب جانبًا .. و استيقظ حلم جمع المال

جمالها كان مفتاح دخولها عالم الإستعراض
و جموحها كان سبب خروجها من هذا العالم
و طموحها للثراء دفعها نحو امتهان الدعارة !

صدفة جمعتها برجلِ أحلامها ..
الرجل الذي رأى ضوئها  روحها .. و لم يهتم بكونها بائعة لجسدها
وجدت معه نفسها .. فوجدت الحب
إلا أنها آثرت أن تحافظ على هذا الحب كـ حلمٍ جميل
لا واقعًا يحوله إلى رغبةٍ في التملك تطفئه
لكن القدر كان له اختيار آخر !

تعرض الرواية التحولات التي تصيب ماريا خلال عام
نظرتها للحياة .. للحب .. للجنس
و نظرة زبائنها للأخير
و حاجتهم إليه المختلفة بـ اختلاف شخصيات و طبائع و معاناة البشر.

فكرت كثيرا فيما ساقوله عن هذه الروايه
سيئه الى ابعد الحدود
اسوا كا قرات وما ساقرا
لا تستحق اى نجوم

لا انكر انها احتوت على فلسفه
الا وهى حياة الفتاة ماريا
نظرتها للحياه من جهة عملها
اوضحت دوافعها لاتخاذ هذه المهنه وصراعاتها
ولهذا اعطيتها هذه النجمه

لكنها سيئه فى كل ما عدا ذلك
روايه اظهرت براعه باولو كويلو
فى ان يعبر عن فكرة جيده
بطريقه بالغه السوء

استات كثيرا وانا اقراها
فكرت كثيرا فى الا انهيها
لكنى اردت ان اعرف نهايتها
على اخرج منها بشىء

احسد من لم يقراها
ولم يلوث ذهنه بما ورد بها

بالغ فى وصف بلا مبرر
واورد تفاصيل بطريقه مسيئه للغايه

لا ادرى حقا ما وجه الاستفاده منها
باختصار تصيب بالغثيان فعلا

I wouldn't recommend this book to just anyone because of it' explicit sexual content. It's about a young women who falls in love and then is heart broken over and over again every time she falls in love. So she decided not to fall in love. She becomes a prostitute and makes good money and never falls in love with any of her clients. She finally meets an artist that is drawn to her, he knows what she does and yet wants her to teach him to find love again. They discover it together. It has a happy ending but, it's not the type of story you hear about. It's based on true events. There is one part in the book that I particularly liked, "I have reached the conclusion that sex has come to be used as some kind of drug: in order to escape reality, to forget about problems, to relax. And like all drugs, this is a harmful and destructive practice. If a person wants to take drugs, in the form of sex or whatever, that's their problem; the consequences of their actions will be better or worse depending on the choices they make. But if we are talking in terms of making progress in life, we must understand that 'good enough' is very different from 'best.'" I think in today's world sex is getting to familiar with all of us. We need to make it sacred again.
