رواية رائعة !
- بغض النظر طبعًا عن الجانب العقائدي أو الديني فيها (: -
فقد قرأتها على أساسِ أنّ كلّ ما بها من أحداث و شخصيات ، مجموعة من الرموز ، وُظّفت لصياغة حكمة ، في قالب قصصي شيّق !

هو شيءٌ ما ستجده فيك ، أو ستجد نفسك فيه
بخوفه ، ضياعه ، يأسه ، و استسلامه لقدره ، ثمّ انكساره ، و صبره ، و شجاعته ، و أخيرًا تحرّره !
لقد احببتُ إيليا كثيرًا ، أحسستُ أنّه يترجمني ، و يحكي فصل الحياة الذي لم اصل بعد لنهايته - أو رُبما منتصفه :/ -

الرواية رائعة جدًا ، لامست قلبي ، و صنعت داخلي طوفانًا من الأحاسيس
رائعة حقًا ، شُكرًا لمن دلّني عليها (:

I have recently re-read this book telling, from Coelho's perspective obviously, the life of Elijah the Prophet. Elijah is presented as a young prophet feeling unworthy and unprepared to take on the task that God has given him - to instil the religion on the One God in the land of Israel where its current princess Jezebel is trying to impose the worship of many gods, especially that of Baal.

It is an engaging story, and for me, filled with a great deal of wisdom. It's easy to imagine the young prophet so uncertain in his task. He is made to suffer over and again, and cannot understand the wisdom of such a God. He ultimately has to battle God, and walk away from him, so that he can eventually come back.

Two things especially stood out for me. "...he had accepted his mission without dispute. Even though it was real - and he felt it was - he has never had the opportunity to see what was happening in the paths that he had chosen not to follow because he feared losing his faith, his dedication, his will... He had fled from doubt. From defeat. From moments of indecision. But the Lord was generous and led him to the abyss of the unavoidable, to show him that man must CHOOSE - and not ACCEPT - his fate."

We may not know what our heart's calling is, but we must have the courage to choose it. Not because it's God's will or it's foretold, but that choosing it is the highest expression and declaration of who we are. We honour ourselves and God in the process.

Later in that same chapter, he goes on: "Each one has a name from birth but must learn to baptize his life with the word he has chosen to give meaning to that life."

And that got me thinking, what name would I choose for my life? What one word encapsulates all that I would dream of fighting for or committing to? I have many words, but have not found THE word.

Like "The Alchemist", this is a tale that hooks you from beginning to end, imparting great wisdom along the way. I would highly recommend it.

Gavranu je to Poncije Pilat, Coelho-u je to Ilija u ''Petoj Gori''.

Sjajno djelo. Napeta radnja, elementi produhovljenosti i ezoteričnosti, ta neka pradavna, efektivna mudrost, u izvjesnoj mjeri šifrirane, nedorečene, mogu li se onda uopće i zvati teodicejske poruke, ali u svakom slučaju donekle oslobađajuće.
Volim taj starozavjetni kostur, izabrane citate koji povezuju dijelove radnje i označavaju svojevrsne prijelaze, kao u notnim zapisima, ali i stil Coelho-eve naracije.

Jedini minus je ta neka sladunjavost koja u jednom dijelu, ne mogu reći dominira, ali pomalo zasjenjuje glavnu temu, bit radnje, djela i uopće poruke, kao i ona, meni smiješno i suvišno, neki će reći new-ageovsko koketiranje s novim imenima (nova rođenja), no dobro. To su jedini minusevi.

Doživljaj djela je kombinirani - osobni, naravno, koji se isprepliće s iskustvom koje mi je donijelo čitanje knjige o Jobu. Nije baš neko iskustvo, ne mogu se pohvaliti velikim pomacima u vjeri, duhovnosti ili shvaćanju uopće života, patnje, pa tako i teodiceje i Boga u tom pogledu, ali u velikom dijelu sam gledao na djelo kroz svjetlo koje na nj baca priča o Jobu.

Ono fascinantno u ''Petoj Gori'' je to negativno iskustvo Ilije, njegovo koprcanje u svojoj ulozi Jahvinog proroka, jednog od židovskih izabranika, njegova ljudska kratkovidnost, ograničenost, nedoraslost. Ako se jedan prorok, kojeg je sam Bog izabrao, koji je imao direktan kanal komunikacije s Bogom, koji je čuo i slušao Njegov glas i spoznavao ciljeve Njegovih misli, toliko mučio, gubio, lutao, dvoumio i oklijevao, kakva onda očekivanja imati od običnog čovjeka, od nekog ne-Židova, od čovjeka siromašne duhovnosti i vjerske izobrazbe - hoću reći, očekivanja koja vjerojatno često namećemo i sami sebi, vjerojatno su previsoka.
Pobuna protiv onoga što ne želimo, što smatramo nepravednim, nerazumijevanje ishoda naših izbora, razočaranost ''highlights''-ima na osobnim vremenskim lentama, vapljenje za onime za čime čeznemo, jer ne shvaćamo zašto je nešto tako skromno i jednostavno tako neumoljivim propisom zabranjeno, sve je to paleta emocija utkanih u ovu priču.

Zato je pročitajte. Po meni, ako Božić simbolizira nadu i radost, Uskrs simbolizira strpljenje. Nema strpljenja, čitaj poniznosti i mudrosti, nema Uskrsa.
Ilija (i Job) je, nakon svega, ipak Uskrsnuo. Valjda ćemo i mi.

I think Paulo Coelho needs to stop referring to 'The Alchemist' in each and every book he writes.

I love the book. I found very interesting the story being base on Elias life. What I like the most from the book was the idea that a prophet like him fall in love with a woman, I would not have imagine putting that story together an man from God and falling in love; however, he did not get the chance to live that love at a full expression due to the woman he love died, so when this happens is when I found the book better because Elias’ path changed completely. Elias became angry at God, and he starts to disobey the will God has plan for him. Finally what I found more interesting is the one part, after Elias understand all that happen to him; he realized that the probe he did endure did not meant he is defeated, but in the contrary, what he has endure, he has to see as a challenge. I may say, I love it, and enjoy it.

El libro se inspira o inicia con el profeta Elías, este estando en su pueblo Israel, se ve obligado a huir de su país; ya que Israel esta siendo gobernada por una persona extranjera que profesa una religión distinta al Dios de Elías. Esta persona es la reina Jezabel quien adora al dios Baal. Debido a que ella adora a este dios, muchos de los profetas israelitas debieron convertirse a adorar a Baal o elegir perecer; pero Elías logro escapar, ni se convirtió ni pereció, Elías logra huir en momentos en que prácticamente iba a ser ejecutado por órdenes de Jezabel.

Afortunadamente Elías logro salir con vida de Israel, y este llego a un pueblo llamado Akbar, en este pueblo Elías fue recibido acorde a las leyes de hospitalidad, recibió casa, alimento y amistad de los moradores. En este tiempo Elías conoció a varias de las personas del pueblo; tales como el gobernador, el sacerdote y el comandante del ejército de Akbar. No obstante de conocer a todas estas grandes personalidades del pueblo, el logro mezclarse con las personas comunes de la ciudad, tal como lo haría cualquier otro profeta de su tiempo. En esta etapa de conocimiento y de personas nuevas, conoció Elías a una viuda y su hijo. Este encuentro fue el mas dramático de todos, -lo cual indica deben leer el libro para saber por que-. Elías conoció aquí a la viuda de Akbar quien seria para el la persona mas importante, ya que en ella descubriría ese sentimiento, (”El amor es la causa de que las estrellas continúen en el cielo y que los hombres caminen en la tierra”, Pág. 114). Este nuevo sentimiento que Elías albergaba en su corazón empezó a convertirse en una fuerza mayor que los designios a los que el como profeta debía dedicarse, a lo cual la viuda le recuerda que (”El amor de una mujer no es compatible con los designios de Dios”, Pág. 120). El momento en que Elías descubre que los designios de Dios no los puede abandonar, ocurre en una forma muy dura no tanto solo para el, sino también para el niño. Esta forma dura como describo es en la manera en que Akbar como todo pueblo fruto de la sed de poderío de la reina Jezabel, fue invadido y destruido, derribado y quemado. A esto Elías, su viuda y su niño no escaparon, y quien mas lo acarrearía seria la viuda quien fruto de esta tragedia murió. Esta trágica muerte de la única mujer a la cual Elías había amado significo dolor, un intenso dolor que lo conllevo a desistir, maldecir y llegar a un estado en donde ya (“No quería ni morir, ni continuar viviendo. No quería nada; no tenia amor, ni odio, ni fe”, Pág. 145.) Todos estos sentimientos llegaron a Elías cuando el no tenia idea de que algún día los viviría. El proceso de Elías de entender, digerir y aceptar todos estos nuevos designios de Dios tardo. Muchos momentos de soledad, momentos de autoanálisis, y momentos de acompañamiento de aquellos que quería, y de aquellos que no conocía, le ayudaron infinitamente a entender lo que había ocurrido. Para Elías, (“… El dolor que sentimos no acabara nunca, pero el trabajo nos ayudara a soportarlo. El sufrimiento no tiene fuerzas para herir a un cuerpo cansado”, Pág. 175.) A partir de esta sipnosis espero se motiven.

Love the quote ‘Fear reaches only to the point where unavoidable begins after that it loses its meaning’....loved the theme,the tragedy that happens to us is not punishment but a challenge to our spirit....I don’t know whether am not clever enough to understand this book or this book is uninteresting....I don’t find this gripping and I got bored while reading...I am a sort of person who quit the book if it doesn’t evoke emotions or if I couldn’t able to relate to it and I never want to quit this book....I love Paulo Coelho quotes and I liked his quotes in this book as well...want to read this book after some years to see whether I could understand his writing and my impression alter...

Hola , lo lei pues estaba ya en la kindle. Un poco aburrido por momentos pero profundo en otros. Un poco dificil formarme una opinion pero bueno lo lei.

رواية ممتعة تاريخ و نبوة و بشر منكسر رغم نبوتة بيحاول يقاوم ضعفة و يفهم مغزى حياتة و الى ربنا أوكلة لية، بس أصعب ما فيها و لمسنى الخوف أنى أكون من العاجزيين ما أقدرش أحارب حتى أصل و هل فعلا لو حاربت بتصل إيليا وصل بس فين فى هذا الزمان
عمل قد يلمس بداخلك مجى ضعفك و يجعلك تتواصل معة يستحق الاشادة دوما رائع قى وصفة و تسلسل احداثة و لا يحتوى العديد من المعجزات بل العكس عند الرضا تتم المعجزة و هيا السلام الداخلى
(الله قادر على كل شئ. لو أنة اكتفى بأن يفعل ما ندعوة من خير لما أستطعنا أن نصفة الكلى القدرة بل لهيمن على جزء من العالم فقط، و لكان هناك من هو أقوى منة يراقب أفعالة و يحكم علية و فى هذة الحالة كنت عبدت ذلك الذى هو أشد منة جبروتا )

كعادته باولو في كل رواياته الطابع الديني يلقي بظلاله ع الأحداث حيث يضع " الطبيعة البشرية " في مواجهة " الدين " , في الجبل الخامس يتحدث عن النبي إيليا - ذكرت في الإنجيل- الذي يجد نفسه حائراً بين إرادة الرب و خياراته الشخصية , تتمازج العناصر الفلسفية في روايته , لنرى كيف أن الأقدار ( الجميل منها والسيء ) ليس هو إلا بداية للحياة القادمة وأن العقاب عبرته ليس بمقدار الألم أو اليأس منه وإنما بقدرتنا على تلافي الأخطاء والتعلم مستقبلا رواية رائعة جداً , حكمة باولو السهلة الممتنعة تضعنا في مقابل أحداث بسيطة تدعو للتأمل ,

بغض النظر عن صحة هذه القصة المذكورة من عدمة ,

روايه تتكلم عن قصه سيدنا الياس او إيليا من وجهة نظر توراتية

Nah. This is the third book of Coelho’s I’ve read and it’s the same tired fables and cheap philosophy over and over again.
