قال لى صديق ذات مرة ،، أن باولو كويلو جاء لهؤلاء الذين قرروا عدم القراءة فى التنمية البشرية ليصنع لهم خلطة بين مبتذلة بين الرواية والتنمية البشرية ،، و آمنت بهذا 0..الجبل الخامس هى فى الأصل عن إشكالية أن نعطى معنى لحياتنا من خلال الصراع والرجاء ذلك أن أقوى لحظات المأساة ليست عقاباً إلهياً بل هى تحدٍ مطروح أمام الانسان لذلك فهناك معنى آخر للعقاب حيث أنه محتوم فى الحياة ونعتقده ثابتاً والمحتوم هو فى الحقيقة مقدّر لكنه عابر أما الثابت فهو ما نستطيع استخلاصه من عِبر المحتوم المأساوى . الرواية عبارة عن متتالية من الإيمان وفقده وإنعدامه والصراع ضد الخوف , بين ما يريده الرب وما يريده العبد و عن عجز الانسان فى فهم أسباب اختيارات الرب والتى قد تبدو أحيانا ظالمة وسيريالية والضربات التى تعرض البشر للأزمات الروحية وكيف أن مسيرتهم ضد إراده الرب تكون هى فى النهاية ما يريده الرب أن يكون فما يحدث وما سيحدث كُتب مسبقاً ولا يجوز العوج عنه
الجبل الخامس تقوم على الصراع بين ما يعتقده الانسان وما يضطر الى فعله والشك والريبة اللذان يتملكانه ويفقدانه السيطرة على زمام الأمور فيقول " ومن لا يشك بنفسه غير جدير بالإحترام , لأن لديه إيماناً أعمى بقيمته , ويرتكب خطيئته بسبب غرورة , مبارك الذى يمر بأوقات الحيرة والشك .

This book is a recounting of the trials went by the Prophet Elijah also know Elias. Paulo Coelho has always had a way with words. He manages to amalgamate spirituality into our everyday deeds. This book is also abound with spiritual quotes and impressions; since it is a book on prophet and God it is bound to be so. The story is everything you are familiar with. There is not much deviation from the biblical version. The struggle of Elijah in his journey to be the Prophet of the lord forms the crux of this story. What the author entwine in this book is the spirit of love, endurance, hope and patience. He manages to inculcate the most vile and most precious traits of humans into the book that would have otherwise relied much on mysticism. The major events in the story are brought about by normal humans. Hate, jealousy, pride, anger, lust, vanity,love,empathy, compassion, patience, happyness, persistence.... Whew... this book manages to combine all the emotions and adds a spin of spirituality to them. A good book and a good narrative.
What striked me most is the war like conditions existing in the places the author has wrought his story. The author may have written this book to remind the readers the plight of the countries. The war and destruction brought by it sends rather a chilling message to the readers. This book is not for everyone. Those who likes philosophy and spirituality can give it a shot.

يتحدث باولو، في روايته "الجبل الخامس" قصة النبي إيليا التي ذكرت في الإنجيل بأسلوب فلسفي يأخذنا فيها نحو رحلة لاكتشاف الحكمة من الأقدار السيئة والجميلة ليؤكد على الحكمة التي تقول: "هنالك حتما شيء ما" ولقائه الأرملة في صَرْفَتِ، المدينة الفينيقية الصغيرة؛ ثم انكفائه إلى الجبل، بعد أن دحر أعداءه جميعاً.

يمر اليا أثناء حياته بمواقف عديدة تتراوح بين قبوله لقدر نبوته ورفضه له وطرده من أرض وطنه نتيجة لمذبحة قام بها الملك بتحريض من زوجته ، تقوده قدماه لصرفت المدينة الفينقية التي تعبد الألهة التي تسكن الجبل الخامس وهناك يسكن لدى الأرملة التي ساعدته عندما كان جائعا وعطشا .

يمر ايليا في احداث الرواية بأزمات روحية وتشتت وضياع ، ويطيع أوامر ملاكه الحارس ويحاوره على الدّوام، يحاول التفتيش عن معنى إنساني جديد للقرار والاختيار.

في مدينة صَرفتِ اللبنانية التي دمّرها الأشوريون، يفقد إيليا كلّ شيء: شجاعته والمرأة التي أحبّها، وكذلك إيمانه إثر الأزمة الروحية التي عصفت به.....

ربما لو كانت الترجمه افضل لاعطيتها 4 نجمات !!

What an awful book. I only read it in it's entirety because it was a gift, but I could tell from the first pages it was going to be very very very bad. The prose is boring, uninspired, dull, imprecise, and simple, to a ridiculous degree(And even if I could blame that on the translator, I read it in Spanish. How hard can it be to translate from Portuguese to Spanish?) Characters were probably the worst thing by far. Only 2 characters have a name, the queen of Israel and the protagonist. There's little to no description on how they look, their story, etc. Calling them one-dimensional would be an understatement. The plot is almost as bad, filled with plotholes and stupid decisions by "smart" characters. You can tell Cohelo is an absolute brainlet who's trying to write his archetype of "smart bad guy", and hilariously fails. I don't care about books being heavy on religion(In fact, imo that mixed with Russian realism is an infallible mix), but Cohelo is so up front about it, he doesn't let you interpret anything, he explicitly says what his allegories mean, just in case one of his 2 digit IQ readers can't connect a couple of their severely damaged braincells to form the simplest opinion. At one point I had to avoid reading this in public because I felt ashamed someone would see me. Luckily it's an extremely short and fast read, mainly because the prose is so minimalistic that you can get through 60 pages in an hour. Even then, I wouldn't even recommend this to my worst enemy. I always try to not get carried away by what people say of authors I haven't read, but in this case they were absolutely right.

تصورم و انتظارم چیز دیگه ای بود... که تا اواخر کتاب هم بهش نرسیدم. انگار این فقط من بودم که سمت کتاب قدم برمیداشتم تا باهاش ارتباط برقرار کنم، اما کتاب صرفا مشغول تعریف کردنِ داستان خودش بود. فقط آخرای کتاب بود که بالاخره یه قدم سمتم برداشت و از این روایت یک طرفه دست برداشت...
خود داستان زیبا بود، اما با روایت‌ش نتونستم ارتباط برقرار کنم‌.


خداوند دعای کسانی را که برای فراموش کردن نفرت به درگاهش استغاثه می‌ کنند می شنود اما دعای کسانی را که از عشق می گریزند، اجابت نمی کند.

هر موجود بشری در لحظه ای خاص که فاجعه ای زندگی اش را دچار آشوب می کرد: فاجعه ای مثل تخریب یک شهر، مرگ یک فرزند، اتهامی بی دلیل، بیماری ای که موجب معلولیت دائمی می شد، در آن لحظه خداوند او را به مبارزه می طلبید و از او می خواست که به این پرسش پاسخ دهد: « چرا به حیاتی این‌چنین کوتاه و پر از رنج وابسته ای؟ معنای مبارزه تو چیست؟»
مردی که نمی‌توانست پاسخ دهد تسلیم میشد. اما آن‌که در جستجوی معنایی برای حیاط خود بود، آن را غیرمنصفانه می یافت و می کوشید تا با سرنوشت درآویزد‌.

یک بچه همواره می‌تواند سه چیز به یک آدم بزرگ بیاموزد: شاد بودن بدون دلیل، دائم به کاری مشغول بودن و تقاضا کردن آنچه با تمام وجود می‌ خواهد.

یک جنگجو شکست را می‌پذیرد. او آن را به عنوان واقعه ای بی اهمیت تلقی نمی‌ کند و نمی کوشد که آن را به پیروزی تبدیل کند. رنج شکست او را تلخ و اندوهگین می سازد. او از سرما رنج می کشد و از تنهایی به ناامیدی سوق داده می شود. وقتی از همه ی این حالات گذر کرد، زخم هایش را مرهم می نهد و دوباره آغاز می کند. یک جنگجو می داند که جنگ از نبردهای متعددی ساخته شده است و به همین دلیل هم به پیش می رود.

Καταπληκτικό βιβλίο!!!!!!1 Θα το βάλω άριστα. Απλή αλλά συναρπαστική ιστορία και γεμάτη νοήματα. Το συνιστώ απόλυτα...

If you want to tell a story about how sometimes you need to fight your destiny and stand up for what you want, do it... Just don't bring a holy person, a saint, into it and make him fight god, telling him "I'll forgive your sins, if you forgive mine". I mean there were a lot of things wrong with this book, but to say it was also build around an actual saint....

صراحة لم تعجبني الرواية لكثرة الأمور الدينية و المغالطات , حسيت انه الله سيسخطني لو كملت فيها لذلك تركتها

I like reading Coelho's books, but it comes a time when you realise that they are almost all the same. Same voice of characters, same philosophy, same conversations...

This book starts off well and promising, but the scenes of Akbar become so tiring, and then the forced imparted wisdom that you encounter in every Coelho's book, it's so repetitive.

I'm glad I finished it!

2 stars. Such an interesting premise - a retelling of the biblical story of Elijah. I was excited to find out more about this famous prophet and the ancient lands in which he lived. Despite this I didn’t enjoy this story. Nothing really happens - Elijah spends the whole time in inner turmoil and indecisiveness. He falls in love with a woman which just adds to his lack of direction. I was just bored, after he’d moaned about his task for about the fifth time I almost gave up. Its one saving grace were a few sentences that had an impact and were quite powerful, but they were few and far between.
Ah well, onto the next!

Επιφανειακό βιβλιαράκι που αποσκοπεί στο να φιλοσοφήσει τα αυτονόητα και να ενθουσιάσει με δέος τα απαίδευτα.
Το είχα διαβάσει στην εφηβεία μου και μου άρεσε αρκετά. Είτε είχα πολύ χαμηλά στάνταρ τότε ή μάλλον σε τέτοιες ηλικίες απευθύνεται προς τέρψιν.
