I understand the point of this book was supposed to be a condensed version of most of the leadership books Maxwell has published, but instead of taking a lot of key points it has a lot of examples.

Personally I would have preferred this to read as a notebook with notes of his books instead of trying to teach big points using examples.

A good review of what it means/what is required to be an effective and respected leader. Important traits of a good leader include character, integrity, and putting people and the organization ahead of a personal agenda.

That’s book 3 of the 101 collection! My honestly rating is 4.5 stars because it’s really clear John Maxwell just copy-pasted from all his other books in order to write this one. But it’s still good to be refreshed on the fundamentals, and the insights inside aren’t any less powerful!

Well written book , easy to understand as well very short. writer encouraging reads to get acquire leadership skill which he believe it can be taught, he briefly explain how a person can be leaders, importance of leadership skill and levels leadership, if you never read leadership book before this for you .

Okayish book. Not something everyone needs to read but probably those who've experienced toxic corporate culture might agree that some individuals do need to read it. Therefore, not completely a waste of time.

Overall good. Some good points and ideas, but as most reviewers have said, was fairly basic. I think it is worth reading. Can't give partial stars...but I would rate a strong 3.5 stars....just wasn't quite enough to give it a 4 ;-)

So much knowledge packed into one small book. N easy and quick read. Lots of great info compiled into a small book and very motivational. Lacking actionable tasks and this is why a missing Star — but don’t let four stars fool you — this is 100% worth your investment of time to read.

I have never thought myself a leader, and even reading through this book, I noticed I have only a few of the characteristics deemed "necessary" to become a great leader. However, I know that if I capitalize on my strengths, build leadership within my education community and rely on them for support, I will become an effective leader. There are some excellent ideas in here for all types of leaders including children, parents, students, executives, and friends. Plus, it is super short, very condensed, and easily digestible.

Some good nuggets / quotes. Nothing particularly profound, except for perhaps the last chapter on Legacy and what it means to have a true impact. Thought provoking, nonetheless. Even if these are concepts we intellectually already understand, doing the mental and literal work of putting them into practice is the obviously the key. I found some of the lists of questions to be helpful for self reflection.

This isn’t particular to Maxwell, but I tend to get annoyed with the use of capitalistic examples for measurements of success [Coca Cola, McDonalds]. Would have appreciated other examples.

All in all, good for a quick afternoon read.

Khi mà bắt đầu vào đọc một quyển sách thì mình cũng chỉ đọc nó khoảng 30 phút thôi vì những cái nội dung cũng không có gì mới và cũng không quá là chi tiết, cũng như là ví dụ để mình có thể áp dụng
