Update: Finally got around to reading it and it was quite good. I truly hope to come back to this series when I'm in the mood for a light-hearted comedy. :D

The copy that I obtained is in a bit of a rough state. There are black sharpie marks on the edges, it's worn down and the cover is peeling, and there are even high school library stickers on it. However, it's still perfectly readable. And for just $2 for a used copy, it's not a bad deal at all. It has been quite a while since I last saw the anime, so reading the manga will be a nice refresher for me. :)

I'm looking forward to delving deeper into the story and characters through the manga. Even though the physical condition of the copy isn't great, the content within is what matters. I'm sure it'll bring back memories of the anime and perhaps even offer some new perspectives. :D

Let's get ready to Ruuuumble!

What an extraordinarily strange series this is! Despite its collection of bizarre characters, silly moments, and an unrequited love triangle, this book offers a great deal of good old-fashioned, random fun. I recall seeing this title some time ago and, upon looking at a picture of Kenji Harima, I immediately assumed it was yet another school fight manga. With other more pressing series to explore, I never bothered to give it a try. However, after stumbling upon it on sale and realizing that I hadn't read any fighting manga in a while, I finally decided to give it a shot. To my great surprise, I discovered that I was completely wrong about the type of manga this is. So, don't make the same mistake as me and assume something based solely on the title.

Now, I'm not entirely sure why the mangaka chose this name for the series. Perhaps it was because school fight manga was once all the rage. Nevertheless, with the exception of the occasional weird and random plot element, this series reminds me more of Azumanga Daioh. It's as much a love story as it is a school story, even though the main character, Tenma Tsukamoto, is a little on the...dumb side and lacking in common sense. But this doesn't mean her character is bad. In fact, like many of the cast, the mangaka gives her enough depth to work with and manages to bring out her charm while keeping the story flowing smoothly. So, if you're a fan of interesting characters and random, silly manga, maybe you should give this title a try. Having been released in 2003, there are a total of 22 volumes in the series, and it's available on Kindle if you're having trouble getting your hands on the physical volumes. (Besides, as of now, it looks like the first 19 volumes are available on Kindle Unlimited.) If you decide to read this series, I truly hope you enjoy it as much as I did. :)

This is an extremely insipid series that is truly not worth anyone's precious time. The stories within it lack a consistent connection, often failing to follow a discernible time line. What's more, the main character is of the worst kind of idiot, making it difficult for the audience to engage or sympathize.

This series unfortunately encompasses all the negative aspects of the sexist Japanese mindset. It presents a rather narrow view where women can only be strong in a single category, such as sports, academics, jobs, or spirit. Meanwhile, unintelligent or untalented girls are unjustly lifted up on a pedestal, as if being kind or considerate can somehow make up for their lack of depth in character.

I am well aware that shojo is not typically famed for its feminist ideals, but really, this series is like a tame hentai. It lacks the necessary elements to make it a worthwhile read, with no nudity to speak of and poorly written content that leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Blech!

I've been extremely occupied with work, school, the holiday, and now I'm in the process of planning a trip to Tokyo while another school semester is right around the corner.

Over the past couple of months, I've pretty much immersed myself in manga.

Actually, I've watched the first season of the anime School Rumble series. I'm really fond of the lighthearted story. It involves a love triangle among Tenma, a flighty high school girl, the mysterious and rather strange boy she has a crush on, and Harima, the completely misunderstood bad boy who is in love with Tenma. Additionally, I also enjoy the side stories of Tenma's little sister and her friends.

As far as I can recall, the first volume of the manga is precisely the same as the anime. Therefore, I liked it a great deal.

This manga and anime combination has provided me with a wonderful escape from my busy life, allowing me to enter a world full of charming characters and engaging storylines. I'm looking forward to exploring more of it in the future.

I watched both seasons of this show, and to be honest, I could only manage to find about two episodes that were even remotely funny.

I have no clue as to why I had this preconceived notion that the manga would be any different. I kept hearing from various sources that this series was "hilarious" and "romantic," so I naively decided to give it a go. Big mistake. It was an absolute waste of my precious time.

In fact, I really made an effort to search for the so-called comedy that this series boasts of having, but it was nowhere to be found. It seems like all the praise it received was just a big exaggeration. I'm truly disappointed and would not recommend this to anyone looking for a good laugh or a charming romance.

I have read the first 10 volumes of this series, which is all that I possess. I believe there are a total of 22 volumes. The story is centered around a Japanese high school, and it is truly a great deal of fun. Some sections within it are truly excellent.

The author has managed to come up with a plethora of creative and engaging story lines in several of the volumes. The character designs are quite good, and the drawing is effective in bringing the story to life.

One very nice and unique feature of this series is that each volume defines the honorifics used in Japan. Additionally, at the end of each volume, there are explanatory notes that acquaint the reader with the life in Japan. This not only makes the reading experience more enjoyable but also provides valuable insights into the Japanese culture and way of life.

Overall, I have thoroughly enjoyed reading these first 10 volumes and look forward to exploring the remaining ones to see what other exciting stories and cultural experiences await.

The story seems a bit confusing to me.

I find it rather difficult to follow the plot clearly.

However, I still have a feeling that it might be kind of good.

Perhaps it's because there are some elements in it that intrigue me, even though I'm not entirely sure what's going on.

The way the events are presented makes it a bit of a mystery, and that's what keeps me interested.

Maybe as I read further, things will start to make more sense and I'll be able to fully appreciate the story.

For now, I'm just going to keep going and see where it takes me.

Even with the confusion, there's something about it that makes me think it could turn out to be a really great read.

So, despite the initial difficulties, I'm looking forward to uncovering the secrets and understanding the plot better.

It was good.

I'm not much of an anime reader. In fact, I usually don't have a great interest in anime-related books. However, it was truly a pleasant surprise to start on this particular book.

The story within its pages seemed to draw me in from the very beginning. The characters were vividly described, and their personalities shone through.

The illustrations, too, were quite captivating. They added another layer of depth to the story, making it even more engaging.

Despite my initial hesitation, I found myself thoroughly enjoying this book. It made me realize that sometimes, it's worth stepping out of our comfort zones and trying something new.

I'm looking forward to seeing where this newfound interest in anime books will take me.

Maybe there are more hidden gems like this one waiting for me to discover.

Overall, I'm glad I gave this book a chance. It was a great start to what could potentially be a new hobby.

Although high-school romantic comedy is not my manga genre of choice, I actually enjoyed School Rumble much more than I thought I would.

The story centres around second year high school student Tsukamoto Tenma. She has a huge crush on her classmate Karasuma Oji. However, she struggles immensely to let him know how she truly feels. It's like she is lost in a maze of her own emotions.

Meanwhile, the bad boy Harima Kenji unexpectedly falls for Tenma. So much so that he actually starts going to school regularly, which is a big change for him.

All manner of hilarious comedy situations then ensue as the characters try their hardest to make their crushes fall for them in return. It's a chaotic and entertaining mess of misunderstandings, failed attempts, and comical moments.

Tenma must be the most clueless girl on the planet when it comes to matters of the heart. But despite that, this is an endearing tale and great fun to read. Teen girls, in particular, are going to love it. It has all the elements that they can relate to and enjoy, making it a must-read for that demographic.

It was good if you like romance. However, for me, the story wasn't particularly interesting. I found myself not fully engaged in the plot. Maybe it was because the romance aspect didn't appeal to me as much as other elements in a story. I was hoping for more excitement, more twists and turns. But unfortunately, it didn't quite deliver in that regard.

Despite this, I can understand why some people might enjoy it. The concept of a romantic story can be very appealing to many. It can tug at the heartstrings and make you feel all kinds of emotions. But for me, it just didn't have that certain something that would make me want to keep reading.

Overall, while it might be a good choice for those who are into romance, it wasn't the right fit for me. I'll have to look for other stories that can capture my attention and keep me on the edge of my seat.

This was a truly quick and enjoyable experience, but unfortunately, it had a rather choppy plot.

The story seemed to jump from one scene to another without a smooth transition, making it a bit difficult for the reader to fully engage and follow along.

Despite the excitement and entertainment value that it initially offered, the choppy nature of the plot detracted from the overall quality of the piece.

It would have been much better if the author had taken the time to develop a more coherent and flowing storyline, allowing the reader to become more invested in the characters and events.

Nonetheless, it was still a relatively short and engaging read that provided some moments of fun and excitement.

Perhaps with a bit more refinement and attention to detail, the author could have created a truly outstanding piece of work.
