Going overboard has never been so funny!

It's a situation that can lead to the most hilarious and unexpected moments. Whether it's a person who takes a dare too far, a party that gets out of control, or a plan that goes awry in the most comical way, going overboard always has the potential to make us laugh until our sides hurt.

Think about that time when your friend decided to do a crazy dance move on the table at a party, only to end up slipping and falling into a pile of balloons. Or that moment when you tried to make a complicated recipe and ended up with a kitchen full of chaos and a dish that looked nothing like what it was supposed to. These are the kinds of experiences that make going overboard not only funny but also memorable.

So, the next time you find yourself in a situation where you might be tempted to go overboard, don't be afraid! Embrace the madness and see where it takes you. You might just end up with a story that will have everyone laughing for years to come.

I have a rather low tolerance for gag manga. To be honest, I can only say that I managed to finish it.

If you happen to be a fan of gag manga, there's a good chance you'll probably like it. However, it's important to note that it's no Nozaki-kun.

If you haven't read Nozaki-kun yet, seriously, what are you doing? That manga is truly a gem in the world of manga. It has a unique charm and humor that sets it apart from others.

The story and characters in Nozaki-kun are so engaging and entertaining that it's hard not to fall in love with it. In comparison, the manga I just finished may not have had the same level of impact on me.

But perhaps for those who have a different taste in gag manga, it could still be an enjoyable read.

I DNF'd this volume, and dropped the series - at least, for now.

I might pick it up again far down the road and try it again, but not anytime soon.

I didn't hate it. I just felt that it was too slow.

I got an Azumanga Daioh kind of feel from this.

I just feel that it might take it a couple volumes to pick up speed to actually become funny, and I don't want to waste time on it right now.

Maybe if I had more patience, I would have continued reading. But in today's fast-paced world, I don't have the luxury of spending too much time on something that doesn't immediately grab my attention.

I hope that the author can find a way to make the story more engaging and faster-paced in the future.

Then perhaps I will give this series another chance.

Silly, very silly.

"スクールランブル" Vol. 1 offers a highly amusing introduction to the characters of the series. Utilizing movie titles as a pretext for a short story that unfolds over approximately 10 pages, this first volume focuses on Tsukamoto Tenma. She is a shy and extremely easily distracted high school girl, deeply in love with Karasuma, a very quiet boy who remains oblivious to his classmate's feelings. Additionally, there is Harima, the 'bad guy' in the class, who secretly harbors affection for Tenma. As Tenma endeavors to capture Karasuma's attention, Harima is attempting to win hers.

Each episode revolves around silly situations that serve to develop the characters (aside from the love stories, there is no overarching story). For instance, in the first chapter, Tenma decides to pen a love letter for Karasuma (an extremely long one), but forgets to sign it. While Karasuma reads it, Tenma waits (and waits and waits) for his response... only to hear Karasuma murmur that the love letter isn't signed. Every chapter is replete with this kind of silliness, with Kobayashi doing an excellent job of poking fun at your typical high school manga. There are also numerous puns and wordplay, some of which are truly excellent. All of this makes this first volume a highly funny and entertaining read, easy to consume. However, on a downside, with these short chapters, all making fun of the typical high school manga, the manga becomes slightly repetitive.

6.5/10

Funny manga is carrying forward the heritage of high school comedies like Azumanga Daioh. The first volume shows great promise and marks a good beginning for Jin Kobayashi's career as a manga artist. It's quite possible that if this book were released by Tokyopop, I might not have enjoyed it as much. However, the treatment by Del Rey is of the first rate, just as expected. It contains numerous cultural and translation references, which are extremely necessary for this manga that is full of cultural and language jokes. The detailed and accurate translation helps readers better understand the humor and subtleties within the story. The cultural references also add an extra layer of depth and authenticity, making the reading experience even more engaging. Overall, this manga has the potential to become a favorite among fans of high school comedies and manga enthusiasts alike.
