Ahhhh, Cliffhanger, yet again, noooooiinnn. Uff, but it remains exciting. How intertwined everything has become ever since Mello and Near joined in. It's very interesting.

I really need to go and buy volume 10 tomorrow urgently.

It was a little too dull and convoluted for my taste.

The whole concept of Light, Near, and Mello trying to outwit each other just wasn't all that entertaining.

The various notebooks, owners, and rules were often difficult and irritating to keep track of.

Moreover, there wasn't nearly enough Misa Misa. She was by far the most fun character in the series, yet she was barely in this installment.

On the bright side, Matsuda was pretty great.

However, I really hope the next one isn't such a dragged out and confusing mess.

I'm looking forward to a more engaging and exciting story in the future.

Ehm, I have this intense and perhaps not-so-healthy obsession. I really, really want Mello to point his gun at me.

When it comes to the showdown between Mello and Kira for the win, there's no doubt in my mind that I would be firmly supporting Mello! And let's not forget to mention his new look. It is absolutely awesome! That scar of his is just the bomb! It adds this edgy and mysterious charm to his character.

On the other hand, I have to admit that I don't like Near at all. He comes across as extremely boring and way too childlike for my taste. In fact, he reminds me of a monkey. I can almost picture him scratching his head with his toes. Nope, not a fan of Near here. I much prefer Mello's bold and intense personality.

Light took on Mero and compelled the latter to establish a connection with Nea.

Whether Mero and Nea would collaborate to apprehend Kira remains an open question.

This volume seemed to lack significant action. There were numerous character monologues as they endeavored to theorize, deduce, and strategize in an attempt to gain the upper hand.

The ending, however, was rather sudden. It was a cliffhanger that was disappointingly anti-climactic, something I had never expected to be possible.
