After the quality has decreased in the fourth volume of Death Note due to the introduction of a rather artificial twist, this plot point is consistently continued in Blackout. Unfortunately, because of all that has happened

, we experience this volume almost completely without supernatural elements or the clever exchanges that otherwise make this series so readable. Instead of having two equal opponents, the focus of the story here is placed on other reasons for killing people than self-justice, namely greed for profit.

This is certainly an understandable reason from a purely economic and financial perspective, but it causes readers to have to deal with a company and its police force together with the two detectives. For readers like me, who have no idea about business and automatically switch to fast-forward, this is a rather unexciting turn for this otherwise highly fascinating story.

In addition, the change of two characters can be perceived as problematic.

They both simply don't seem like themselves, but like washed-out people who are pushed into the background in favor of the new direction of the plot.

To be sure, one can gain something from some points, for example L's still insensitive and unempathetic approach in his investigations as well as the blurring of the line between work and private life of all those involved and the emerging corruption of the government in relation to Kira (#batmanvibes), but this cannot compensate for the rather tedious tone and boring background of this volume. However, there is a bonus point due to the scene between Light, his father and Misa. That counts among the most intense scenes within the entire story!

Overall rating: 3.5/5 stars

This series is truly addictive.

Once I start reading, it's like being drawn into a magical world from which I can't escape.

The characters are so vivid and the storylines are so engaging that I find myself completely immersed.

I often find myself thinking about the story even when I'm not reading.

It's a pity that I don't have more time to read.

If only I could set aside all my other responsibilities and just lose myself in this wonderful series.

I long for those quiet moments when I can curl up with a book and let the story carry me away.

Hopefully, I'll be able to carve out some more time in the future to continue this amazing reading journey.

I can't wait to see what adventures and surprises await me in the next installment of this addictive series.

Light is truly an amazing and powerful force. It has the ability to do things that are simply astonishing.

It can travel vast distances at an incredibly fast speed, bringing illumination and visibility to the darkest of places.

Light can also have a profound impact on our emotions and well-being. The warm glow of the sun can make us feel happy and rejuvenated, while the soft light of a candle can create a sense of calm and relaxation.

In addition, light is essential for life as we know it. Plants use light to carry out photosynthesis, which is the process by which they convert carbon dioxide and water into oxygen and glucose. Without light, life on Earth would not be possible.

So, the next time you look up at the sky and see the sun shining brightly, or flip on a light switch in a dark room, remember the amazing things that light can do. It really is a remarkable and essential part of our world.

This volume seemed to drag a little. Both Kiras are without their powers and memory as Kira. And now, someone else is killing people. Of course, it has to be an evil corporation. Things are definitely going to get crazy, convoluted, and stranger and stranger.

I have always had a deep love for comics, and I truly hope this love persists forever. Even though I grew up reading local Indian comics such as Raj Comics, Diamond Comics, or even Manoj Comics, the present time is for catching up on international and classic comics and Graphic novels. I am on a quest to read as many comics as possible. I love comics to the core. May the comics never depart from my side. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this and look forward to reading more. You should also read what you love and then just keep on reading.

I firmly believe that comics offer a unique and captivating form of entertainment. They have the ability to transport us to different worlds, introduce us to fascinating characters, and tell engaging stories. Whether it's the vivid illustrations, the thrilling plotlines, or the thought-provoking themes, comics have something for everyone.

So, don't hesitate to explore the wonderful world of comics. Discover new titles, revisit old favorites, and let your imagination run wild. And remember, the joy of reading comics is a journey that never ends.

Eh. It seems that the story has suddenly taken a different turn, and now everything is completely different from what it was before. The original premise and conflict, which were so interesting, appear to have been set aside in favor of these corrupt businessmen. It's quite a disappointment.

And what about Misa? Will she ever do anything that doesn't solely revolve around Light? Her character seems so one-dimensional in this regard.

Also, what happened to the Police Chief's health? He had a heart attack just two issues ago, allegedly due to stress, and now with all this chaos involving his son, he is suddenly fine? It doesn't seem very realistic.

Another point that confounds me is why Misa was kept in sensory-deprivation confinement while Light was not. There doesn't seem to be a clear explanation for this disparity.

Despite all these concerns, I'm still continuing with the series. However, I'm really feeling very 'meh' about this particular issue. I hope the story will pick up again and regain the excitement and intrigue that it had in the beginning.

I kind of enjoyed the first novels more than these.

The first novels had a certain charm that these lack. They were filled with more intricate schemes and serious storylines.

However, in these current novels, I don't actually feel the same level of suspense and thrill.

It seems as if something is missing. Maybe it's the element of surprise or the build-up of tension.

The first novels had a way of keeping me on the edge of my seat, constantly wondering what would happen next.

But with these, it feels a bit flat.

I hope that future novels can recapture that magic and bring back the excitement that I once felt.

Until then, I'll continue to search for those hidden gems that can truly captivate my imagination.

No decay at any moment this story, at least for now.

Misa is arrested and Light voluntarily surrenders to the police and communicates to Ryuk that he abandons the Death Note. The killings cease until Kira starts killing again.

But what is really happening?

Perhaps Light has a hidden plan. Maybe he is trying to mislead the police and make them believe that he has given up being Kira. Or could it be that he is waiting for the right moment to strike again?

As the story unfolds, we will find out the truth behind Light's actions and what really happened during this period of time.

Will Kira be able to outwit the police and continue his reign of terror? Or will he finally be caught and brought to justice? Only time will tell.

In this new installment, the pattern undergoes a remarkable transformation.

Following the events of the previous volume, with Light behind bars, a fresh Kira emerges. This new Kira shows a greater inclination towards using the diary to amass power and mete out punishment to the villains.

Moreover, with the fundamental elements of the series having been altered, the investigative aspect becomes much more prominent.

Several supporting characters have been introduced, yet they seem to be lifted from a television series, such as the trickster and the thief serving as external consultants.

All of this serves only to steer the story away from its original course.

This volume can be regarded as a transitional element or a prelude to further plot developments. However, it also risks confounding the readers who have grown fond of the characters and the dynamics thus far presented.

Personally, I found the story engaging, although I hope that this interlude doesn't persist for too long.

Misa remains a secondary character and comes across as somewhat childish, which I don't particularly care for. At this rate, it might as well be removed from the series. I also miss Ryuk, who is barely present in this volume.

Light's incarceration and his relinquishment of the diary temporarily sidelines Kira and reintroduces Light as a detective in the pursuit of the "new Kira". In fact, this presents an alternative scenario that could have occurred had Light not discovered the diary.

I'm cognizant that not all volumes can be equally excellent, but it is only with the next volume that one will be able to determine whether the story has been lost or will be salvaged by a brilliant twist.

Yotsuba is a very interesting character. She is known for her unique personality and actions. One of the things that stand out about Yotsuba is that she often talks too much.

She has a never-ending stream of thoughts and ideas that she feels the need to express. Whether it's about the things she sees, the people she meets, or the experiences she has, Yotsuba always has something to say.

Sometimes her excessive talking can be a bit overwhelming for those around her. They may find it hard to keep up with her rapid-fire speech or to get a word in edgewise. However, despite this, Yotsuba's talking also adds a lot of charm and energy to any situation.

Her enthusiasm and excitement are contagious, and it's hard not to be drawn in by her lively conversations. So, while Yotsuba may talk too much at times, it's also one of the things that makes her so endearing and lovable.

I didn't understand, a little bit right.

How crazy

our more than course that this story is taking.

This short text seems to express a sense of confusion and surprise. It might be related to a story or situation that is developing in an unexpected or strange way. The phrase "QUE DOIDO" (How crazy) emphasizes the speaker's reaction to the events. It could be that the story has taken an unexpected turn or that the course it is following is hard to comprehend. Overall, the text conveys a sense of uncertainty and wonder about what is happening.
