Eh. It seems that the story has suddenly taken a different turn, and now everything is completely different from what it was before. The original premise and conflict, which were so interesting, appear to have been set aside in favor of these corrupt businessmen. It's quite a disappointment.
And what about Misa? Will she ever do anything that doesn't solely revolve around Light? Her character seems so one-dimensional in this regard.
Also, what happened to the Police Chief's health? He had a heart attack just two issues ago, allegedly due to stress, and now with all this chaos involving his son, he is suddenly fine? It doesn't seem very realistic.
Another point that confounds me is why Misa was kept in sensory-deprivation confinement while Light was not. There doesn't seem to be a clear explanation for this disparity.
Despite all these concerns, I'm still continuing with the series. However, I'm really feeling very 'meh' about this particular issue. I hope the story will pick up again and regain the excitement and intrigue that it had in the beginning.
