It's as if the author was trying to introduce a new element to keep the readers engaged, but in doing so, sacrificed the natural progression of the story. Misa really annoys me a great deal. I don't have any liking for this particular eight businessman at all.

This is by far the worst volume. The reason being that things have become completely unrelated to what we initially started with. Light has transformed into someone different. He is not as intellectually present as he used to be. On the other hand, L takes on more parts this time. However, I did like the way they were engaged in a battle of reason. What made them special was their rather weird relationship.

These eight men are extremely boring to read about. The action, if it's going to be of this nature, is simply not needed. It seems to add nothing to the overall story and only serves to make it less interesting. I hope that in the future volumes, things will improve and become more engaging and relevant.
