I had extremely high expectations for this book.

What I adored the most about this book was its profound interpretation of what God is.

As a non-religious individual, I have always grappled with making the religious-origin content in books understandable and relatable. However, the explanation provided in this book offered a unique perspective that I could truly utilize.

I also took a great liking to the explanation for illnesses. Additionally, there were some truly remarkable stories from real life included in the book.

These real-life examples added a layer of authenticity and made the concepts even more accessible.

Overall, this book has exceeded my expectations and provided me with valuable insights and a new way of looking at things.

It has managed to bridge the gap between the religious and non-religious, making its content relevant and engaging for a wide range of readers.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a thought-provoking and enlightening read.

Other than a few pointers here and there, I simply couldn't enjoy it.

It seemed that no matter how hard I tried, there were always these little aspects that kept getting in the way of my enjoyment.

Maybe it was the way certain things were presented, or perhaps it was the overall atmosphere that just didn't click with me.

I found myself constantly being distracted by these minor details, unable to fully immerse myself in the experience.

Despite my best efforts to look beyond them, they continued to linger in the back of my mind, preventing me from truly savoring the moment.

It was a frustrating experience, as I had initially hoped to have a great time, but unfortunately, it just didn't turn out that way.

Maybe with a few adjustments or a different perspective, I might be able to find some enjoyment in it, but for now, it remains a disappointment.

My first review is ironically filled with grammatical errors,

after complaining about the ones in this book!!!

It's quite embarrassing really. I was so focused on pointing out the mistakes in the book that I completely overlooked my own.

Spell check is something I should have used more carefully.

Now I realize that it's important to be just as critical of my own writing as I am of others'.

This experience has taught me a valuable lesson.

In the future, I will make sure to double-check my work for any errors before submitting it.

No matter how confident I may feel in my writing abilities, I can always improve.

And I will also be more understanding and forgiving when it comes to the mistakes of others.

After all, we are all human and make mistakes from time to time.

The overall message of this book is indeed a good one. However, I found myself in a state of conflict between the oversimplified and exaggerated examples on one hand, and the real gems of wisdom that it also contains on the other. Let me start with what I liked.

Overall, Terry adopts a guilt-free and blame-free approach to managing life, with 100% responsibility at the core. This is a great life philosophy. I truly appreciated the objective quotes and points of view, such as: “Neither money nor happiness creates the other: happiness is a non-moneyed experience and is a function of what is going on in your life. Money isn’t good or bad. It just is.”

There were numerous such nuggets throughout the book, moments that made you stop and think: “huh, well I guess that is true.”

I also really enjoyed the short chapter length, which was no more than 4 pages, as well as the summary, exercises, and affirmations at the end. It was a really useful way to put her tips into practice without having to sift through each topic.

As for the things I didn't love, they were mainly in the chapters on Health and Work. Quotes like: “No one can threaten you unless you buy into that threat” were far too broad for my taste. I suppose I understand the sentiment, but there are times when you need to recognize a threat for what it is and call out the other person who is attacking you first. Not acknowledging when you've been threatened, either physically or emotionally, can cause real harm.

She also claims that diseases and accidents (such as stubbing your toe) are the result of guilt and an unwillingness to deal with our true feelings. I completely disagree with this. People who are very in tune with their feelings can still get sick and/or accidentally slam the car door on their fingers all the time.

All that being said, I still believe this book is worth a read, and I do think that most people will gain something from it!

This is truly one of the best and most profoundly insightful books that I have ever had the privilege of reading.

As I delved into its pages, I discovered a wealth of wisdom and knowledge that I know will stay with me for the remainder of my life.

Although the author does discuss God and Christ quite extensively, I approached these topics with an open mind and a degree of objectivity. I was able to take the concepts of spirituality and godly power and interpret them in a way that made sense to me and fit within my own personal beliefs and values.

I initially borrowed this book from the library, but it was so captivating and inspiring that I have decided to purchase a copy for myself. It is truly a wonderful piece of literature that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a thought-provoking and life-changing read.

I cannot wait to explore its pages again and continue to learn from the valuable lessons it has to offer.

I truly did have a profound liking for this book. It was an outstanding read, particularly in a world where we are overly preoccupied with what others think of us. In today's society, the opinions and judgments of others seem to hold great sway over our lives. We constantly strive to meet the expectations of those around us, often sacrificing our own authenticity and happiness in the process.

This book offers a refreshing perspective on this common human struggle. It delves deep into the themes of self-acceptance, confidence, and the importance of staying true to oneself. Through its engaging narrative and relatable characters, it teaches us valuable lessons about how to navigate the pressures of society and find our own sense of worth and purpose.

Whether you're someone who constantly worries about what others think or simply looking for an inspiring and thought-provoking read, this book is definitely worth checking out. It has the power to change your perspective and help you embrace your true self, regardless of what others may say or think.
