Black Friday is a book that is entirely implausible.

It seems to rely heavily on good luck and good timing, rather than a well-crafted plot.

While there is a modicum of character development, it is not enough to make the story truly engaging.

The book is both ridiculous and entertaining at the same time.

On one hand, the events that unfold are so far-fetched that they border on the absurd.

On the other hand, the author does a good job of keeping the reader's attention with fast-paced action and a sense of humor.

Overall, Black Friday is not a bad book.

It's just inconsequential.

It won't change your life or make you think deeply about anything, but it can provide a few hours of mindless entertainment.

If you're looking for a light read to pass the time, it might be worth checking out.

But if you're in search of a meaningful and thought-provoking novel, you might want to look elsewhere.

This is an incredibly powerful read that, although it is fiction, has the potential to so easily be or become fact.

The story unfolds at a deliberate pace and is presented from multiple perspectives, which significantly adds to the overall tension. Right from the very beginning, the reader finds themselves compelled to keep turning the pages as each new and unexpected twist and turn draws them further into the narrative.

Each character has been cleverly conceived and developed, and they all function seamlessly within the various plot lines as a result. The geography is familiar, even to readers in other countries, due to the specific place and the work that takes place there. All of these elements contribute to the drama that is unfolding within the pages and to the truly horrific realization that this could actually occur in real life.

While I was able to guess the identity of one of the main protagonists relatively early on, I had no inkling of just how deeply they were involved throughout the story. Nor could I have begun to envision just how extensive and profound the corruption was. This, in my opinion, was the most disturbing detail.

If you have a penchant for complex, deep thrillers, then I wholeheartedly recommend this read.

I am the proud owner of a softback copy of this book.

5/10
480 pages

This rating of 5/10 and the mention of 480 pages might seem rather cryptic at first glance. However, upon further examination, it could potentially refer to a variety of things. It might be a review of a book, where the 5/10 represents the overall assessment of its quality, perhaps taking into account aspects such as the plot, writing style, and character development. The 480 pages could give an indication of the book's length, which might have an impact on the reader's experience. For example, a longer book might require more time and commitment to read, but it could also offer a more in-depth and detailed story. On the other hand, it could also refer to a magazine or a report, where the rating might reflect the usefulness or relevance of the content, and the page count could indicate the amount of information provided. In any case, these two pieces of information, 5/10 and 480 pages, can provide valuable insights into whatever it is that they are referring to.

From April 13th to April 19th, the specific year is unknown.

During this period, many events could have taken place. It could have been a week filled with various activities, such as work commitments, social gatherings, or personal pursuits.

Perhaps it was a time of learning and growth, with new ideas and experiences being gained. Or maybe it was a week of relaxation and rejuvenation, spent enjoying hobbies or taking a break from the daily routine.

Without knowing the specific year, it's difficult to determine the exact significance of this time frame. However, it's safe to assume that it was a week that had an impact on the lives of those who lived through it.

Whether it was a memorable week or just another ordinary one, it's all part of the tapestry of life.

This was so much better than I had initially expected.

It is definitely a vivid reminder of the time when James Patterson was in his prime, writing his own books with great authenticity and creativity.

This particular offering is an engaging thriller/action book that presents some truly huge and thought-provoking ideas.

The beginning of the book starts out somewhat slowly as readers are left to puzzle out who the characters are and what exactly is happening.

However, once the story hits its stride, it becomes a fun and chaotic ride.

Patterson skillfully delivers multiple points of view and introduces characters that are multifaceted and well-developed.

It wasn't the shallow, formulaic writing that Patterson seems to produce these days.

Although there were one or two obvious twists, the book remained highly entertaining and had me completely hooked from start to finish.

Overall, it is a dynamic and action-packed thriller that is sure to satisfy fans of the genre.

Glad I didn't give up!

After spending a significant amount of time plodding through the entire Alex Cross series, I had reached a point where I truly believed that I had had more than enough of the seemingly repeating Patterson sagas. The storylines had started to blend together, and I was growing tired of the same old formula. However, fortunately for me, I decided to give one of my favorite authors another try. And boy, am I SO DARN GLAD I DID! This particular book was absolutely riveting from start to finish. I found myself completely unable to put it down, constantly eager to turn the next page and discover what would happen next. The plot was filled with twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat, and the characters were so well-developed that I felt as if I knew them personally. Now, I find myself eagerly looking forward to the next read again, excited to see what other amazing stories this author has in store for me.

Slow going but ended good.

This simple phrase encapsulates a common experience in life. Sometimes, we embark on a journey or task that seems to progress at a snail's pace. The path ahead may be filled with obstacles and challenges, causing us to feel frustrated and impatient.

However, as we persevere and continue to push forward, we may find that the end result is well worth the wait. The slow progress has allowed us to learn, grow, and develop skills that we may not have otherwise acquired.

In the end, we can look back on our journey with a sense of pride and accomplishment. We have overcome the difficulties and achieved our goal, no matter how long it took.

So, the next time you find yourself in a situation where things are moving slowly, remember that it may just be a sign that something great is about to unfold. Keep going, stay positive, and trust that the end result will be good.

The beginning of this was truly terrible. It seemed as if there was no hope for it to get better. However, as it progressed towards the middle, things started to pick up. There was a glimmer of improvement that made me a bit more interested.

Surprisingly, by the time it reached the end, I actually found myself liking it. The conclusion had a certain charm and appeal that caught me off guard.

I won't spoil it for you. Instead, I'll let you read it for yourself and form your own opinion. Maybe you'll have a completely different perspective. But for me, it was a pleasant surprise after such a rough start.

Who knows what you'll think when you encounter it? It could be that you'll share my sentiment or perhaps you'll have an entirely different take on it. Only one way to find out - by reading it.

So, go ahead and give it a try. I'm curious to see what your reaction will be.

I never thought that I would rate a James Patterson book with less than 4 stars. However, this particular one just didn't appeal to me at all.

The story revolved around terrorists and Wall Street, and there was an excessive focus on the government for my taste.

At this moment in time, the government is the very last thing that I want to hear about, regardless of the format.

I was hoping for a more engaging and thrilling plot that didn't involve so much political and governmental jargon.

Maybe it's just my personal preference, but I found this book to be a bit of a disappointment compared to some of Patterson's other works.

Nonetheless, I'm sure that there are many readers out there who will enjoy this book and its unique take on the thriller genre.

As for me, I'll be looking forward to Patterson's next release, hoping that it will be more to my liking.

I'm really torn on my feelings about this book.

So much of its content makes it extremely difficult not to think of 9/11, which occurred approximately 15 years later.

The action in the book is engaging and keeps the reader hooked. However, perhaps it feels a bit too outdated. There is an excessive amount of focus on what's happening down at Wall Street and even a significant portion takes place within the World Trade Center building.

Overall, it's an interesting read. But considering there are so many other great books out there, this one might not necessarily be worth your precious time.

You could potentially find other works that offer a more contemporary and relevant perspective.
