Great read!

It is a quick and simple book, yet I truly adored the characters. Jack was an outstanding hero. I just couldn't get enough of him! He was so charming and heroic, making him a real standout. Jamie, on the other hand, was a genuine girl. I absolutely loved the way Jack loved her. Their relationship was so sweet and endearing. The sex scenes in the book were also quite good. They added an extra layer of excitement and passion to the story. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and will probably read it again. It was a delightful escape into a world of love and adventure.

You Don’t Know Jack was an absolute delight. It was not only sweet but also incredibly funny. The way the relationship between Jack and Jamie developed was truly heartwarming. Both of them were kind and considerate individuals, which made their connection all the more special.

As the story unfolded, we got to see their interactions and how they grew closer with each passing day. Their conversations were filled with humor and charm, and it was a joy to read. The author did a great job of portraying their emotions and personalities, making it easy for the readers to empathize with them.

Overall, You Don’t Know Jack was a wonderful read that left me with a smile on my face. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a lighthearted and entertaining story.

I really liked this extremely steamy and hilarious story. It has my favorite plot where the man chases after his woman.

Jamie, a social worker, has a psychic friend who predicts that she will encounter her soul mate. One day, she accidentally bumps into Jack.

Jack, on the other hand, feels compelled to hide the fact that he is the millionaire brother of her roommate.

Interestingly, it's love at first sight for both of them.

The story unfolds with Jamie and Jack's interactions, filled with tension, humor, and of course, the steamy moments that keep the readers hooked.

As they get to know each other better, Jack struggles with whether to reveal his true identity or continue to hide it.

Will Jamie find out the truth? And if she does, how will it affect their budding relationship?

These questions add an element of mystery and excitement to the story, making it a truly enjoyable read.

Too much emphasis is placed on sex, while there is a lack of proper plot or character development. Jack and Jamie's first night together is described over 3 or 4 chapters, which, in my opinion, is excessive. I actually found myself skipping pages just to reach the end more quickly. The subplots involving the illegal day trader at Jamie's office and Jamie's dad had the potential to be interesting. However, they were resolved fairly rapidly and, in my view, implausibly. Then they were pushed aside so that Jack could once again try to seduce Jamie and plead with her to love him. Jamie's reasons for not wanting to be with Jack were extremely weak. By the time she finally relented and admitted that she loved him back, I was truly irritated with her. I wasn't really a fan of Jack either. He came across as more pitiful and sad than romantic. Additionally, he seems like the kind of guy who gets bored easily and moves on from things relatively fast. This makes it very difficult to believe in the happily ever after (HEA). He left his job on Wall Street and simply drifted from one thing to another until he met Jamie. Who can say that he won't get tired of living Jamie's laid-back, hippie-like life and decide to move on from that as well?

I completed this book quite a while ago. However, I am in the process of updating my reviews whenever I manage to find some spare time.

Well, I awarded it 4 stars mainly because I have a huge crush on Jack. So, if anyone wants to sue me for that, go ahead! It's true that this might not be her absolute best piece of writing. But, goodness gracious! The sex scenes in this book are incredibly steamy. Just based on that principle alone, it easily deserves a 3. The subplot involving her dad was a bit irritating, yet it did add some depth and dimension to the characters. All in all, it was a good read. It wasn't outstanding, but I still wouldn't object to running into Jack on a subway. That is, of course, before I met my dear husband!

I think it's important to note that while the story had its flaws, it still managed to hold my attention and keep me entertained. The characters were well-developed, and the setting was vividly described. Even though it might not be a literary masterpiece, it definitely has its own charm and appeal.

4 so-so stars for this one.

The book centers on the idea of destiny and how you have one soul mate, so to speak. As the story unfolds, you can actually believe the whole destiny concept. However, there’s an unbelievable sub-story with the heroine’s father that I found quite annoying. It’s also supposed to be really funny, but there are no laugh out loud scenes. At best, you get a small smile every so often, and sometimes it’s just overdone.

The story is really good at the start, right up to the half-way mark. McCarthy really knows how to write a steamy scene. You can feel the sexual tension building to the point of exploding. Even though they have sex sooner than later, it fit with the story and didn’t seem like sex for the sake of sex. The hero is an interesting character, but the heroine’s “do-gooderness” bugged me at times.

Just over the halfway mark, things started to get a little too schmaltzy for my taste. The tension was gone, and everybody’s all lovey dovey about everything. There were still some good sex scenes, but it was all too syrupy too soon, and it ruined the rest of the book for me.

Overall, though, it’s a good story (great title!), but be prepared for the sticky sweet towards the end that doesn’t really match the tone of the beginning.

This was my very first encounter with an Erin McCarthy book. To be honest, my feelings towards it were rather neutral. I didn't find myself completely in love with it, yet I didn't hate it either. There are no regrets for having read this particular one, but at the same time, I don't have any immediate plans to explore the other books in this series.

Interestingly, it seems that there were initial plans for a book titled FINN AGAIN which was supposed to tell Caroline's story. I must admit that I would have been quite interested in reading that. However, despite the cover reveal for Finn Again, it unfortunately doesn't seem to have actually been released yet.

I'm left wondering if it will ever see the light of day and if I'll get the chance to learn more about Caroline's journey. For now, I'll just have to wait and see.

This was a really nice and entertaining read.

I found myself especially liking Bechwith.

And here's a little note to the author: D cup is not huge. It's more like "chesty" but it can still fit fine in dresses and other types of clothing.

Now, when it comes to double D, that's an entirely different story.

Obviously, as the story progresses, it seems quite clear that Caroline is going to end up with Finn.

Their connection and the way the story is unfolding just lead one to believe that this will be the ultimate outcome.

It'll be interesting to see how their relationship develops and what challenges they might face along the way.

Overall, this is a great read that keeps the reader engaged and eager to find out what happens next.

This book truly gave me a sense of whiplash.

Seriously, after they basically met for the second time, they immediately went to his place and engaged in a never-ending sex fest that seemed to go on for pages and pages.

It was just sex, sex, sex, and more sex. It felt as if all they could think about was sex. They behaved more like animals than humans.

It was quite astonishing and almost made me question the purpose and depth of the story.

I found myself rolling my eyes in disbelief at the excessive focus on this one aspect.

It seemed to overshadow any potential character development or meaningful plot progression.

Overall, it left a rather unimpressive impression on me.

I could not bring myself to finish this book.

It was just so extremely formulaic that it became rather tiresome.

I don't typically have an issue with romances adhering to a certain formula. After all, there are common tropes and patterns that often make these stories enjoyable.

However, this particular one was severely lacking in several aspects.

There was no real character building to speak of. The characters felt flat and one-dimensional, lacking depth and complexity.

Moreover, there wasn't even a setting that had any character or charm to excuse the direct and unadorned formula romance.

It was as if the author had simply gone through the motions without putting in the effort to create a more engaging and unique story.

As a result, I found myself losing interest quickly and ultimately decided to abandon the book before reaching the end.

For chick lit, this book truly failed to take me to the place I desired.

I wasn't at all excited by the chemistry between Jack and Jamie. It felt rather lackluster.

Moreover, I had the impression that the so-called "subplots" could have been enhanced or made more captivating.

Although I concede that perhaps I'm simply having overly high expectations for my chick lit, there are indeed superior books available.

As a first book read during the summer, it wasn't awful. However, I'm not certain that I'll actively search for more of McCarthy's books for my light reading pleasure.

It seems that there are other options out there that might better satisfy my craving for engaging and enjoyable chick lit.

Maybe I'll explore different authors and discover hidden gems that will truly resonate with me.

Overall, while this book had its moments, it didn't quite meet my standards for what a great chick lit novel should be.

I'll continue my literary journey in search of that perfect read that will make me fall in love with the genre all over again.
